Great music stand ... and inexpensive!
I am pleased with how well build this stand is. For the price, I expected a flimsy stand like the portable one I used as a child, but this is well built, versatile, actually holds 3-feet of score, adjusts from sitting to standing positions easily, and folds up in jiffy. Great value, fantastic stand.
This stand is for my six year old son who started playing the violin. I didn't want to invest in a $60 stand until he has been playing a bit more. Now, I'm not sure I'd purchase a $60 stand because this one is just fine. I was surprised at how sturdy it was for the price. The stand is not as flimsy as I thought it would be. The pieces are somewhat heavy and you can adjust it so the wobbling is at a minimum. Great product for the price. It's a plus that it comes with a travel bag. I'd buy another one! The shipping was also SUPER fast, it came a day early.

Lightweight, good for kids
If you have a son or daughter in middle school and they need a stand for home, this is great. It's not going to work for heavier use. The design of the top part is very poor, It relies on friction (via a screw) which is offset from the center of gravity. That means you can't put more than a pound or so on it without it slowly flopping over. So if you have loose sheet music, and not much of it, you're probably okay. The whole thing is very lightweight and very portable but unfortunately, that's a two-edged sword. Spend another $20, you'll be happier.

Cheap, Sturdy, Functional,
Look, you'll end up leaving your portable music stand behind somewhere so why buy anything but the cheapest one available. And this stand works just fine. Actually I prefer it to the older Hamilton designs. And at the time of writing, B&H has the best price around for these. What more do you need? I only wish it were as light as the MUCH more expensive Yamaha stands.... but then... I'd probably just leave it behind anyways so what's the point?

It will hold all your music!
ZOUNDS! What a great music stand. Lightweight and very compact, it even came with it's own carrying case. The height of the stand is adjustable. My only caveat is that the tray is a bit top-heavy, and has a tendancy to fall over. No worries, just adjust how far back the tray leans with the nifty knob. Without making the base any heavier, which defeats the mobility purpose, I don't know of another way to prevent this from happening.

It's Perfect
I am pleasantly surprised that something so reasonable in price has such quality. My husband asked for a lightweight and compact music stand for his birthday and he just loves it. Easy to fold up and put away when he's not using; good looking enought to leave set up!

Nicely priced and very useful
I bought it for my nine year old daughter who is taking guitar lessons. It helps her practice. It is easily folded and stowed away when not in use. Included case helps protect it and make it easy to carry.

Great deal on music stand
Great product works just as expected. My 8 year son uses it almost daily while practicing his guitar. He even takes it to his music class holding up well, ... Highly recommended.
