Nice

Could have a finer height tuning, like the other stools/thrones that allow you to twist the seat up and down to adjust the height. This one has pre-defined holes for different heights and then you can try to fine-tune it by opening/closing the legs. Overall, it's comfortable, but nothing out of the extraordinary.

It's something to sit on

Jan 31, 2018

For the absolute necessity of something to sit on that positions you to play the drums for the least amount of money possible, this is your throne. No frills, easy on the wallet. Expect nothing more.

Not bad, but not great.

If you can afford a little bit more, go for it. This throne isn't the best quality but it's okay especially for a beginner.

Does The Job

Jan 11, 2017

This drum throne was included in a package from B & H - as my title says, it does the job BUT it is on occasion Squeaky. I just use my set for fun and for practice, but if I were recording, I'd want one that doesn't have the same movement noises.

Better than I expected!

This throne came as part of my electronic drum package. Didn't expect much, but boy was I wrong. A very nice, stable and comfortable seat. Very happy with it!

Great to own.

I've seen more hulky thrones and I've seen flimsier ones. This one is medium duty and it does it's job well enough. I'm happy with it.

Good throne for the price

Nov 21, 2014

Throne is sturdy and does not move to much. Little to big for my 7year old. Was part of the Electronic Drum Essentials Kit for him which include a Drum Pedal (can't reach it for now), Headphones and a pair of wood stick. I am satify with that purchase.

Great bang for the buck

Mar 5, 2014

While visiting a professional drum teacher last week, I had the opportunity to repair a Throne he had which had a bad wobble. That unit cost five times more than this unit and with the exception of covering, I cannot see that much of a difference. This is not for a pro on the road but for all us wanna bees enjoying music this is a great value. I would not have thought to get it had the B&H rep mentioned it when I ordered my drums.

You get what you pay for

Sep 19, 2011

Well, you get what you pay for. It is definitely usable and OK for light-use but it's one of the cheapest ones and it shows. I'm not saying avoid it, only be prepared for low-med quality. It is thin metal with wing-nut style tensioners (which means over-tightening will indent the metal). I got this for my kid to use with e-drums so I expect it will be fine for a while, but I can definitely see having to replace in 2 years or so.
