Tremendous upgrade from the M1 Mk I
I've loved my E-M! Mark I for the past two years and captured some of my best photographs ever. However the Mk II is in a totally different league. I won't review it, others have covered this is great detail. I will say however that my first few hundred images are even better (low light, low noise, sharpness, creativity) than my best efforts with the Mk I. I am so happy I finally gave in and bought this! You won't regret it.

Great 1st Impression
I should have realized my E-3 lenses would need an adaptor to fit the new E-M1 body. I will eventually buy new lenses, but for now I'll use my current lenses with the adaptor. So far I'm very pleased. The autofocus is superior to my old E-3 and the pictures appear sharper with more tonal range. I tried a few videos, which look good, but hand-holding videos is a challenge if there is any delay in the viewfinder, however slight.

I would definitely buy this camera again and again.
The second I wrapped my hands around this camera I knew that I loved it. It balances extremely well in my hands regardless of the lens I have on it. It feels very different from the EM5 Mark II which I also own--definitely more substantial. The mechanical shutter is very smooth and soft-sounding. I'm still working with the camera and haven't really tested it out yet but the images I'm getting are very good.

So far so good
Noticeably more dynamic range and detail than my em-10, and more comfortable in the hand even with em-10 grip on. What is more noticeable is the focus speed and tracking. Birds in flight lock on extremely quickly and track very well. Focusing on birds in flight was a noticeable weakness of the em-10 contrast focus. Still learning the customization options and settings, but the basics are stellar.

Im in love
Super in love. Ive had Olympus cameras for ever but this is my first pro-grade MFT camera. I can throw a filter on a get easy 1 sec water shots, 2 sec shots hand held. Does fantastic in low light. Bumping to higher MPs from my old 16 MP camera makes a huge difference. Really impressed with the settings and features. Still getting my work flows down in the menu system. Fantastic camera.

This is a great product, and yes, I would buy it again.
I have only had the EM-1 mark II for about a week, and the weather here has been inclement, and is now getting worse, so I have only had a very short experience with the camera. I can say that it has great potential over the EM 1, and is much quieter. The shutter is whisper quiet, and the new battery/grip is a big boost over the other one. Great product Olympus, keep up the good work.

Lovin my new Olympus E-M1, II
After a few weeks and a couple hundred photos I find the camera really great. Really a high quality piece of gear producing great photos. Using it mostly with the 12-100mm, f4 Pro lens. Stepping up from the E-M10,III to the E-M1,II was not a problem with the aid of Darrell Youngs book. The Version 3.0 firmware update brings in many features from the flagship Olympus E-M1X.

Love this camera!
I wanted to try a mirrorless camera and was also looking to lessen the weight. I didnt expect to be so impressed with the Olympus M1 Mark II. The image stabilization is remarkable and I would not want to have another camera without the live histogram. The options are just about limitless. I have raved about this camera so much that my husband just bought the same one.

An excellent camera. I upgraded from E-M5, 1st version.
I only wish it had Scene options, like in the previous version. Hopefully, will be in a future Firmware upgrade. But other than that, image quality is excellent. Video features are excellent too. My main reason for upgrading is the ability to change exposure manually while filming in video. Previous Olympus cameras require to stop filming to change exposure.

Upgrade from OM E-M5 Mk II
Just got back from a trip to Czechia with this new camera body! Love the familiarity and similarities with my old body! The built in Keystone feature is great for catching those pictures of historic buildings. The speed with the correct cards is a remarkable upgrade and would highly recommend this camera. Next test will be out set in Yellowstone NP.

Outstanding Camera and Lens
I just switched from a Canon full frame camera and L Sreies and was afraid that I might suffer picture quality issues going to a Four thirds frame camera. I am very happy with my choice, less weight, smaller footprint and no picture degradation as far as I can tell. The largest prints I am making are 11x14 and O am delighted. Olympus hit a home run.

Not Disappointed
Purchased this camera in addition to its predecessors, the EM-5 and EM-1. Olympus has never disappointed me, though the EM-1 ii has more features than I could ever use. But then again, so does the EM-1. Great camera and easy to carry due to its size. Also, a shout-out to B&H. Ordered one day, and it was in my hands the next. Incredible service!

Owned only for short time
I qualify this review with the headline above. I took the camera on an evening Christmas light photo shoot. I shot without a tripod and only available light. I was amazed at the sharpness and color accuracy. I also did a short 36-second video. Again, superb quality. I was also impressed with the sound quality which frankly surprised me.

This is a Great Camera!
I bought this after having the OMD-1 for a while, wondering if there would be enough differences. So far I am quite happy with the purchase. It has more megapixels than the original and the shutter works so smoothly.. The focusing is noticeably faster on the Pro lenses and focus stacking and bracketing is more accessible.

All I could ask for
Just purchasing this has rejuvenated my love of photography. I have tried other digital cameras, including Olympus, and just not come away satisfied the way my film cameras happy. Finally, an enjoyable camera, and not huge and overweight like the other makers, and lenses that are sharp, with great color rendition.

Superb, So Far!!!
The main reason why I bought the Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera is for the uber Fast AF which is far better than any cameras in the market today. So far, it hasn't failed me and it's great for wild life photography. Now, if Olympus has a telephoto lens that won't cost an arm and a leg, that will be wonderful!!!

Great do-it-all camera
E-M1 Mark II is my everyday always with me camera that do everything from portraits to street to landscape to sport photography. Great image stabilization, great features, great image quality. This camera has it all. I am a long time user of E-M5 Mark II. E-M1 Mark II solved for me all shortcomings of E-M5.

Great compliment to your FF
I got this after hearing from several of my photographic cohorts. The camera is way ahead of its time feature wise but does take a while to get to know the menu system. I love focus stacking and bracketing, along with target focus and spot metering sync. much lighter to use and carry around.

Excellent well made Camera.
The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark2 Camera is a Compact , Quite , Fast and a very versatile Camera. The Camera has solid professional Construction. Photos have excellent Resolution and clarity. Only Downside Batteries do not last long on a charge compared to digital SLR's-Get Extra Batteries.

Amazing Capabilities
This has all the fire power you will ever need. It has more of what I want then any other camera I've ever used and it can do almost anything you need it to do. Focus stacking, focus tracking, peak focusing ... more bracketing modes etc. etc. Olympus has created a hard act to follow!

GREAT !!!
didn't want to spend this much money when it was announced so I waited for the reviews from all over --this camera is great --I use it with my Olympus 12 to 100mm lens--this rig is a bit heavier that what I am used to from a 4/3rds but I love the shots. Now my go to camera and lens

much to complex for the quality of pictures
Though still acquiring experience with camera, quality of pictures obtained with old Canon 6D and 400 prime with 1.4 extender much better than with Olympus / 300 mm both hand held. Disappointed in part due to very complex use otherwise you use is like an expensive Cybershot.

A great camera.
I have been a Canon user for many years. My main reason for looking at M/43 cameras was trying to maintain quality while losing the weight. I rented the EM1-2 and really like the size while keeping the functionality and image quality. Excellent product.
