Great lens!

May 20, 2014

This lens produces very sharp images, i'm loving it. Just not used to the focal lenght yet but besides that, i've been really enjoying it. It was very hard fitting it to my OMD E-M10 at first, it seems like you have to break in the mount into the camera and now it its smoother, but that is a concern on quality control, probably of the camera though

Clear, Fast, Fast AF

Nov 7, 2012

I use this product for street photography. With an effective 90mm length, it allows me to frame MCUs without having to get too close to the subject. Wide open, the lens is still clear and sharp, which is great for low light. I just wish it were available in black and had a weather sealed version so I could safely use it in the rain with my OMD EM5

Great Focal Length, Amazing Auto Focus

Apr 18, 2016

We were amazed at the size, we were more surprised because it has great optics and it focuses really fast. For our live productions it is better than what we expected. We mostly use it for video work, and it is a beauty to see the footage that comes from it. One thing that we wish it had is image stabilization but other than that it is amazing.

Spectacular

Dec 15, 2014

One of the best portrait lenses I've ever used. Not quite so smooth as the pre-asph 90 Summicron but it's in that league and a lot less painful to buy. Very sharp, very crisp, magnificent color rendition and superb bokeh. Just can't say enough good things about it. (Well, I could, but the review only allows a certain number of words...)

Good Portrait Lens with narrow Depth of Field

Jun 23, 2015

As with most of the micro four thirds line this lens seems very small but don't let that make you underestimate the quality results from this lens. Fast focusing, sharp images and the blurry backgrounds we all look for in portraits. Probably one of the must have prime lenses to have with an Olympus OM-D series cameras.

Confidence inspiring In fact I just purchased yet a third Micro 4/3 camera with 3 additional lenses and ditched my idea of going along with the full frame craze as this lens opened my eyes as to the potential of this system with using great lenses. Ive used it also for video with wonderful results. in one word (Magic)

Great quality lens and an awesome price!

May 20, 2013

As the old adage goes; Good, Fast, Cheap, pick any two. Well this lens definitely breaks the rules. Good - Great build quality, both the optics and the outer build. Focus ring is buttery smooth. Fast - Both the 1.8 aperture and the lighting quick auto focus. Cheap - Very very reasonable price for the quality of lens.

The Perfect Budget Portrait Lens

Aug 20, 2018

I purchased this lens as a portrait lens for my Panasonic G85. It is the perfect portrait lens! Takes great photos and video! I would highly recommend to anyone! I chose this over the panasonic 42.5 because of it's price ($250) and already had in-body stabilization with my G85, so didn't need it as much in the lens.

Exactly what I was looking for

Mar 3, 2014

I was agonizing over which lens to buy outside of the kit lens and I am very happy with this purchase. I picked this lens because of the VALUE and the desire for a fast lens. The resulting detail has been great and the shallow depth of field makes every shot great. The uploaded image is at 1/100th f1.8 on my G6.

Great Little Lens

Jan 16, 2013

I rate this four instead of 5 stars because I think 5 stars should be reserved for top image quality and top construction - meaning metal and weather sealing. Other than that, this lens has it all, sharp, fast accurate focus, great bokeh, fast and light. As good overall in that regard as my best Canon L lenses.

Sharp!

Sep 29, 2011

Super sharp, fast focus. Picked one up a few days ago locally, and it is as advertised. Lightweight, silent, nice quality, beautiful rendering. Probably the nicest images of the five m4/3 lens I have all around. Finish is not as nice as the 12mm, but it's 1/2 the price so not complaining. Nice portrait lens.

Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.8 Lens by Olym

Jan 16, 2013

Recently I bought an Olympus OMD-5 camera, and I love it. I bought the 45mm f1.8 prime lens by Olympus as a primary walk around lens. It's a great lens, clarity and excellent color, especially at f2.8 through f8. I've done a lot of research on four-thirds lenses, and the 45mm, 75mm, and 12mm are the best.

Legendary lens for Micro Four Thirds

Dec 31, 2013

One of the great lenses for the m4/3 format. A great performer, and relatively inexpensive among the other wide-aperture m4/3 lenses.... The black version doesn't feel as plastic as the original silver, and it's miles ahead of other plastic-body Olympus lenses. Still a shame it doesn't come with a hood!

Incredibly sharp.

Sep 30, 2011

This is a great, great lens. Super lightweight, super fast focusing, great OOF blur, natural color and the sharpest micro four-thirds lens I have, out of six. Good price too. Fit and finish nice, not like the 12mm, but still stylish. These two lenses from Oly are a great fit with the 20 from Panasonic.

Excellent lens for MFT

Dec 8, 2016

Great lens for Panasonic G7. I was not happy with the kit lens for Panasonic G7 14-140 mm - as the photos coming too out of focus or dark. Olympus lens seem to be working very good, photos look sharp and bright. Little difficult to put the lens initially - but once it is fit - the photos look awesome.

Just Amazing PHOTOS

May 29, 2012

Recieved mine on the day of my wifes' birthday. How lucky is that! Mounted it on my newly purchased E-PM1 and shot over 200 pictures. 80 percent of the photos came out like professional photos. The other 20 percent was user error. Very happy with lense. This is a must buy lense for 4/3 camera system.

The 75mm is one of the best m4/3 lenses made, it's expensive, but worth it. The 45 performs nicely. The bundle includes lots of extras (lens hoods and nice storage cases), for less than the price of both lenses individually. B&H did free overnight shipping, so I got everything insanely fast.

Incredible Glass

Jul 10, 2018

This is a very sharp lens and a perfect focal length for many applications outside of doing headshots. My only small complaint is that compared to my other Olympus lenses, this one seems a tad slow to autofocus, and in slightly less than optimal lighting conditions, it may hunt for focus.

May 31, 2017

Pros: Beautiful lens with amazing performance. Both 75 mm and 45 mm works best for portrait photography. Cons: 45 mm is made from plastic body, so does the lens hood. However, 75 mm is metal body and robust. Both lens are good for portrait but not recommended for landscape photography.
