Perfect for the job
This external DVD drive is the best I have come across. The price is cool and it does a fantastic job. It burns DVD/CD very fast and it's very silent in the process. I will recommend this to everyone.

very compact, looks good
This drive is surprisingly compact - the only downside to that is that the top seems slightly flimsy if pressing on it while pushing the disc tray in. The drive is quiet and works just fine.

Compact, quick, cheap
This device is true plug-and-play. I got it since my 2019 iMac doesn't have a CD writer, and I still need one. It's much cheaper than Apple's writer, it's small, and it works with no drama.

too early to say anything
Bought it for a possible future laptop/macbook, not used it yet. At first impression it seems quite fragile and very light, maybe they all are like that, externally it looks very good.

Nice external drive
It works well with my MacBook Air right out of the box. No additional software needed. I would have liked it if it was USB 3 but USB 2 appears to work fine. I haven't had any problems.

Satisfied
It was a replacement for a Blu Ray burner/reader. My iMac doesn't tell me it's there but I've used it to both install from a DVD and write to a CD. No gripes or complaints from me.

Very small, slim package and it works
I use this optical drive as an adjunct to a small Lenovo laptop which does not have one. Takes up almost no space in the computer case and is so light you won't notice it's there.

Works just fine
use as an external drive for a MacAir, don't use it extensively, but as an inexpensive add-on for a notebook without a DVD drive it is fine. Not solid construction, but it works.

So far so good
Only used once though to check if it really works. It worked but loud humming noise when playing home-made DVD or CD. Music CDs work fine and does not have that loud humming.

Compact Deal

Does what it's supposed to...
We needed a drive to load homeschool materials on our kids computers. The drive is a bit finicky with certain disks, even new ones, but it worked fine for our purposes.

I have used this product extensively to transfer files from one computer to another and so far no dropouts. I wish it could be faster but for the price I am satisfied.

Plug and play with ease

Super Slow burn speed
This unit has progressively gotten slower when burning DVDs. It take 3 times longer than a Samsung drive used to burn the same file on the same windows 10 computer.

Just what I needed

Great portable external drive
Plugged into my MacBook using usb and that's it. Ripped a couple of CDs with no problem so far. The tray is a little thin, so must be careful when putting disc in.

Noisy, but what would you expect for $25?
The CD/DVD reader/burner works well and I have no problems with it. Its noisy compared to my old one, but for $25, I didnt expect perfection.

easy to handle
put a disc in and let it run, nothing else to do. But be aware that it might lock on the language of the discs you put in after 3 - 4 times

Great Drive.
It does what it is supposed to do, very thin and I ripped about 55 disks and had no problems what so ever. Definitely worth the money.
