Aesthetically appealing
When, i opened the box i was taken by all black finish with the patterned surface. Powering it up, the lights on the keyboard and on the logo beautiful. I have been doing some gaming and editing on this laptop and haven't experienced any delays in rendering. I hope to learn animation with this laptop and from what i see, it will work well. The display is quite good, good colour. I think i got a good deal from B&H. My only concern is that B&H should include the customs duty fee to the cost of the laptop. The lack of this can make the delivery linger.

Shipped and Works As Expected
BH shipped the laptop in a timely manner and it came in about a week. It was packaged safely. As for the laptop itself, it works as expected. Only minor issue I have is that it doesnt go to sleep when left unattended, instead it stays on lockscreen forever. Other than that, the laptop is fast. The manufacturer warranty from lenovo was started about 1 to 2 months before I purchased the laptop. Overall I think this laptop is a pretty solid deal. 1 tb ssd, rtx 2060, 16 gb RAM, and 144hz screen is more than enough for casual gaming.

amazing piece
The laptop is fast and solid, it runs demanding 3D realtime software effortlessly. I have already used it in several high pressure situations where it needs to be portable and still provide high performance and it was excellent. It is easy to carry around in one hand and the screen is clear and crisp.The only thing I miss is an ENTER key on the far right of the keyboard. I highly recommend this laptop for situations where you need high performance, robustness, and portablity.

This laptop is fantastic!
I purchased a MacBook Pro in 2013 as a personal laptop for school. I was looking to replace this laptop. I decided to try the Y540 because of all of the mid-range specs, at an incredibly affordable price. The gpu/cpu is amazing for gaming while the design makes the laptop work or business appropriate. The only downside is battery life. The laptop does in an hour while gaming, and has a 3 hour battery life while checking emails and surfing the web.

Another flawless purchase from B&H
This laptop was purchased for stock trading and charting....very happy with the quality of the video card. Already have one tv monitor plugged via the HDMI port and planning to add two more screens in the future. As far as the service and shipping to UAE is concerned, this is one of many purchases from this store and as usual, flawless...never had any surprise or problem from B&H. Price/performance laptop
I made a lot of research about this product and read all of the comments to see the likes and dislikes about it. I have to say that none of my concerns came true. It's specifications already obvious. I also would like to say that the stylish design and the screen is very nice. Only thing is i would prefer samsung or micron ram instead of hynix. Above all i am happy with this product and i can recommend it without hesitation. Thanks B&H.

Great performance and professional form
I wanted something that combined a professional look and enough power for gaming, and lucky for me Lenovo can cover both. Have had the computer for about 2 weeks, and it works great. Having some driver issues with older games, which is apparently common with the RTX card, but hoping that will be addressed with updates in the next few months and works incredibly well with most games on ultrahigh settings at 1980x1080. Boots in seconds

Amazing upgrade
Apart from the fact that i didnt realise it would be America power supplies (im from the UK) but that was only a minor problem. But overall it was amazing and yeah expect the battery not to be the best but your gaming so youll have it plugged in most of the time. I play a range of games and they all can handle the graphics and frames needed and i had a i5 1050 graphics card laptop before this so, is definitely a upgrade.

Value for your money!
This was my first purchase from B&H and I am pleased with the high level of customer service I have received. This laptop is incredibly lightweight and the value which you receive for the specs is noteworthy. The laptop was promptly shipped, well packaged, new as stated and arrived on time. Perfect conditions
The keyboard feels great, it's incredibly fast, the initial setup was really easy , no screen back light bleed whatsoever, and it is quiet which is important for me. I did play League of Legends already and it kept it at insane high FPS , cool and quiet, plus it's got such minimalist simple yet sophisticated black mate design... All in all i'm impressed. i'm like McDonalds right now. I'm literally loving it

Great But Not Amazing
Pros - VERY fast - this laptop is a powerhouse - Looks nice - Great screen - Good Lenovo Vantage software features Cons - Weird placement of some keys on the keyboard. - VERY low volume on speakers Personal thoughts: I thought I'd be ok without touch screen. I'm not lol I'd rather have the touch screen than the 144hz screen. For a $1200 laptop, I'm a little underwhelmed by the finish of the body.

DOA
Video card not working on initial start up. Turned off and started again, still not working. Back light is on, but no video, only Cortana talking us through the setup with nothing on the screen. Turned off and on a third time and it finally came on. After finishing set up. lifted back of laptop to plug in power cable and screen went blank again. Will return and try a replacement unit.

Amazing gaming laptop for the price!
I'm new to PC and I wanted a laptop that was pretty good but not over the top so I didn't have to break the bank. This one works great with all of the games I wanted to play. Pretty much should always be plugged in and the computer comes with a setting where it can be without damaging the battery. The screen is also amazing so don't feel like you need to buy a separate monitor.

Lenovo y540 gtx 2060 ssd 1t i7
I love it !!!! Run smoothly , powerful (personally,i love the noise that bursting from the laptop , although it's not so noisy) I bought it for editing my footages which i'm shooting in 4k heavy files and they run like,,,, with adobe premier cc . With changing maby the ram to 32g and the ssd to 2t , i couldn't ask for more for this price !!! Thanks b&h . Top recommend !!!!

Great machine
My second Lenovo after six years with an Y510P wich ran like a charm and is still going. Great 144hz screen, RTX2060 -more then enough for me-, great build quality (no creaking sounds, no bendind of the keyboard), very silent on normal use (you can hear it when gaming). Gets a little hotter when gaming but nothing out of the ordinary. Hope is as reliable as the old one.

Great laptop
Great laptop so far. Very nice build quality and specs for the money. The battery life is kind of iffy but not bad for a gaming laptop. If you change a couple of quick settings you can improve the battery life a ton. The charger is massive and kind of cumbersome. Overall very happy with it so far and would definitely recommend it. Very good laptop for the price.

Games well, nice feel, lightweight for its performance
The only issue I've had so far is that the sound quality is subpar. The speakers crackle a little bit and the volume output is lower than on my previous Lenovo laptop (an old ideapad). Otherwise, I'm happy with this laptop and it runs my games and painting software nicely. However, I've only had it for 2 weeks, so I have no idea how it will hold up over time.

Awesome laptop!
I bought this laptop to run the latest VR titles and has no problem running BoneWorks, In Death to name a couple. As others have said, battery life is pretty abysmal but a powerful PC in a small package. Very happy with this purchase. I bought this on sale for 1199 and I think this is a great deal at that price...the Nvidia 2060 RTX mobile chip is great!

Powerful Slim Laptop Ever
This device is great for both gamers and graphic designers. Its equipped high end hardware and delivers smooth and excellent performance. Though key strokes are bit shallow, keyboard is very comfortable. Display quality is really good and sound is fantastic. However visible finger prints are bit annoying, but design is what i love most.

Powerful on a budget
Has everything I wanted. Large SSD, 2060 graphics card, i7 processor, 144hz display. You can't go wrong. Plays all games on Ultra so far without hesitation. Battery life sucks and must be plugged in to get full performance while gaming. Fans are loud but with headphones you don't notice. Highly recommended!

Live Video Production Use
I was quickly in need of an off the shelf laptop for my live video sports webcast business. This particular model had the horsepower needed to handle our live production processing and also record an HD file at the same time. We've used it at 8 events so far and it has more than lived up to its expectations.

Amazing machine
This is a great laptop for gaming or work. I love how quiet the fans are, and the 1 TB M.2 SSD helps a lot. The battery life isn't great, so you do have to stay near a power outlet if you work longer than a couple of hours. And you should use a power outlet if you are gaming with any gaming laptop.

Affordable beast
I could not be happier with my purchase. Runs triple A games at very high settings super smoothly, short loading screens due to the m.2 ssd, good ventilation system, slick design. Totally recommend this for gamers/programmers who want a very powerful machine without spending $2000 or more.
