start of an adventure

Jan 24, 2020

Well I have a lot of my dad's 8mm movies and lots of several ancient photo negative sizes. I think they will all work except the negatives for his bellows Kodak he had when he was young. It is easy to use and does what I wanted it to do. Still exploring the uses but so far I am well pleased.

Scanned years of negatives and slides in under a week

Dec 26, 2019

Really effortless to process thousands of slides and negatives. Flawless operation, easy controls, and fun to see images that I haven't seen in more than 50 years! I am very pleased with this scanner...it has earned the Kodak name...and I'm from Rochester. There were more than enough film holders, and the images were easy to capture. The screen provides an accurate and handy view of each scan. B&H had the best price and fast delivery. I am very pleased.

Just got it and I'm very happy with the resolution of the photos and how easy it is to scan the slides or negatives.

Great negative film scanner for the price.

Dec 17, 2019

So I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of digital pictures it produces on the memory card. This is NOT the highest quality and on a computer images look sharp. However if you zoom in you can see that edges are not sharp. This scanner is very easy to use and does a great job of scanning negatives quickly. Over the weekend I scanned about 1500 pictures. I had pictures going back 30 years. It was such a fun experience scanning each new negativ... Show More

History digitized

Nov 24, 2019

With lots of slides from my family's past (yeah, I'm that old) I needed a quick and inexpensive way to digitize them. With lots of positive reviews, I gave it a shot. Actually, my wife took over the scanning and really loved it. The images aren't what you would get from a multi-thousand dollar scanner, but at 4mb, they are very usable for prints. Great investment.

Very cool

I have only used this for old slides so far, but the digital images turned out great! We were able to print them quite large for a poster collage and they were very clear! Thumbs up.

Great Invention

Sep 18, 2019

Compact, easy to use, simple settings and great results. Wish I had discovered sooner. Started scanning the thousands of slides in our home collection dating back to the 1960s. After a night of scanning, I will quickly route the images through Photoshop to enhance, clean up and crop. After the images are stored on the cloud, I may be brave enough to trash the physical slides and reduce the huge volume of storage required. Thank you Kodak and thank you B&H.

Kodak Scanza review

This scanner is easy to set up and very simple to use. It did a wonderful job turning my father-in-laws old slides and negatives into digital pictures. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Slide Scans

Easy use, versatile. Loading slides is tedious but scanned over 500 slides in about 4 hours. There are few devices that I am totally pleased with; however, the Scanza has made me pretty happy. Great product.

New life for old film!

Good value, easy to use. Disappointed with limited resolution options. Happy with overall results and able to share many memories that were just sitting in a box.

Digitizing old slides takes some practice, but worth it.

Apart from the insertion of slides into the tray being a bit tricky, this is a good little gadget.

My 88 year old dad had great success converting slides into digital images with this scanner. Great item at a fair price.

Does what is supposed to do. Easy to use. I have a lot of 35mm slides to scan in and this was the right purchase for this task.

Good little scanner

Apr 2, 2019

Takes a little learning curve to figure out how to adjust the colors on the old photos but once that is figures out it is fairly simple. Negative and slide holders are a little on the flimsy side so need to be a little careful with them, havent printed out any of the scanned photos yet so not sure how they will come out. But the first part is slowly getting done.

For the money it works great. I have copied hundreds of frames and had no trouble. Good results. Good entry level scanner.

Works great right out of the box. Required very little studying of directions. Abundance of options give a lot of control over images.

Good but not great

Jan 7, 2019

Easy to use, good enough for casual photos and batch scanning, helps to keep records of the less then complicated memories. good for ease of use and fast processing, albeit its manual mostly, but its helpful for record keeping. for best quality still need a professional scanner,

Nothing fancy, but this unit performs exactly as advertised. I initially purchased to digitalize some old color slides but upon becoming familiar with the unit, I discovered it could be connected to a TV via one of the various included cables and used as a simple slide projector. Im very happy with this purchase.

I have a bunch of 35mm negatives and Super8 films to scan. I am having great success scanning the 35mm negatives. Once the adapter is in, all that is required is to push-pull the negatives through. Looking forward to working on the Super8, though I expect it will be very time consuming...

Good fun for the money!

Dec 22, 2018

This device is very light & small, and somewhat primitive in nature. However, it is relatively inexpensive, and seems pretty durable! Easy to use, with reasonable learning curve. My biggest concern is that some images come through out-of-focus, and I dont know how to remedy that. The slide is sharp and clear on the device screen, but the digital image ends up unsharp with auto-focus / lack thereof. I seems as if slide placement and operator consi... Show More

Easy to use and fast

Dec 21, 2018

I have a nice flatbed scanner, but its slow and cumbersome. Ive been able to scan over 3000 old negatives of my kids as infants in the last few nights. The scanner is not for archiving top quality photos but really good for archiving your family snapshots for memories. For the price, you cant beat the speed or ease of use. Buy a can of dust off and spray inside of unit and your negatives if you want dust free scans.

Great Option

Dec 20, 2018

I scanned over 1000 of my old slides and a handful of negatives in a few days. The advantage of this device over an online service for me was that I was able to see the pictures and relive some of the memories. The quality is just fine. It may not be as high a quality (though I really dont know that it isnt) of an online service, but I doubt anyone will be trying to use their old family photos professional. Worked great. No problems, well worth the $
