Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring (Black)
UPC's:
Quality Mouse; Mid-tier Budget Happy Man
This mouse has improved my mouse posture. I was worried about carpel tunnel, but now I'm not. Or maybe I just postponed it for a couple years. Scrolling is so much easier now.The reason I give it four stars is because the clicking mechanism is somewhat loud and obnoxious. Overall I recommend this mouse to anyone who doesn't want to spend over $ on a trackball mouse.

enjoying this item
I am really enjoying this mouse. I am finding that the right and left click buttons fit my smallish hands. I also find the scroll ring easy to use. I am right handed, but use my mouse with my left hand so I can still write notes while mousing, but I can switch to the right if I need to. Great mouse, I would buy another and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Nifty trackball
This trackball is just the right size, and the 2 buttons are all I need. As a woman, I was specifically looking for a small sized trackball, and this is the one for me. Totally manageable and easy to integrate into your editing workflow, all you ladies looking for a trackball mouse? Get this one, hands down (no pun intended).

This is great tool!
I am an editor and a colorist. I use this in conjunction with my regular mouse (both hands working!) For the best control inside Premiere, After Effects and Davinci Resolve. This is a cheap fix for people who are wanting to buy high end coloring hardware. Best of all is the precision I get with this scroll wheel and the ball

Love the scroll ring, don't love the ergonomics
I've been using a Logitech Marble Mouse for 13 years. Had lots of them. I tried the Orbit Trackball because it has a scroll ring, something the Marble Mouse is missing. The buttons on the Orbit are set wider apart and flatter - not as well placed or comfortable. After a couple of days I went back to using the Marble mouse.

Great Trackball for the price
I haven't used a trackball in years, and have been looking for a good one. For the price this one is great! If you want the centered ball I would highly recommend this one. Of course if you want to spend more for a Kensington, well I am sure that is a good one too. But pound for pound this one will do the job for you.

Works after getting used to it
In standard trackballs (e.g. Logitech), the ball is further away from the palm of the hand (compared to the buttons) than in this one. In the beginning, I thought, I can't work with this but after a week or so, it worked fine. The scroll ring is an excellent idea of course. The buttons could be a few mm longer.

Earlier to Use Then I Thought
I orginally had a Microsoft Trackball that I loved dearly, but I can't find it anymore so I gave this Orbit Trackball a try and it was easier than I thought it would be to use, so I bought an extra this time to make sure I have another one incase I need it. I highly recommend this Trackball. Very Easy to Use!!!

So far , so good
I have been using trackballs for 2 decades. It is obvious that technology has advanced on these devices. The Orbit Track bsll is simple to use, accurate and the scroll ring is useful and responsive. The service reliability and the competitive price of B&H photo make the purchase desition very easy.

Becoming a fan
Compared to the mouse, this trackball takes some getting used to, though I'm finding the scroll ring, ball and left button intuitive, and will learn to use the right button with time. I am glad that I also ordered the mouse pad with gel wrist rest; much more comfortable than the extended tailpiece.

Perfect choice
My wife is on the computer all day writing a book and doing research for it. She also does video editing. I picked this out for her after reading all the reviews. She gave me a very sincere thank you and a compliment on my choice. She's very picky, she is very happy and told me that it's perfect.

Having a ball may not be fun
I'm afraid the Orbit Trackball is not for me. Although a fan of the Logitech Trackman Marble, the Orbit's ball just seems to sit too high for comfort. Also, it's claim to fame as a good web scroller is bested by the Logitech wheel. Unfortunately I found the orbit to be unique but unusable.

1/2-2 year life
This is the only mouse I use. I love it, but after a while, wear and tear set in. Excesive left clicks can wear down the button and cause cease of funtion. I've gone through 5 of these so far within the years, and next one is about to go. If it was alot more durable it'd be the best thing.

Works great until it breaks.
I use a trackball instead of a mouse whenever possible because I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I bought this to replace a previous Kensington trackball (different model) that lasted about two years. This one, however, lost the left-click function after about ten months. Not good enough.

Perfect Lil Mousey
This take a little bit to get use to, but once u master it I promise u, u won't use anything else. Its so much nicer than moving the mouse around all u do is use the ball located in the top to move the cursor and the ring around it to scroll the a page. Very nice mouse.

A lot less presition that with a mouse
Ive used this trackball for 10 days straight. I still dont have the same presition as I do with a regular $15 wireless mouse. The scroll ring is great but again, resolution/presition is not the same as in an optical mouse. Maybe I should have got the pro version...

OK for the money.
Not the best, not the worst, but it does the job. The ball was binding a little at first, but has now loosened up a little; not as free-wheeling as I would like. Buttons are pretty touchy, it's easy to click them by accident. Scroll ring works pretty well.

Kensington Orbit Trackball
I prefer a trackball to a mouse and purchased the Kensington Orbit Trackball to replace a Logitech unit that is similar which I have been using. The Kensington unit works well as advertised, but I still prefer the Logitech trackball by a small margin.

Good for the wrist
I've always preferred trackballs to regular mice. I miss the 'chord' function of my older Orbit, but I got used the the scroll wheel quickly. I also like that it is an optical mouse, I expect it to last much longer than the older Orbit models I used.

Great Trackball, great price!
I've been using trackballs for quite a while now, and this one definitely takes the cake when it comes to performance vs. price. I use it for dual-screen editing and am very please with the action, hand positioning and the scroll ring works great!

Best Trackball I have ever used
I prefer the trackballs that have the ball on top to be used by the fingers instead of the thumb. The scroll ring is the best thing--most others of this style don't have anything for scrolling. It's has great accuracy and works wonderful

Glad we bought this product, and it was on sale too!
This is a real fine product, the scroll ring is super smooth. Orbit is kinda wide, but I am getting used to it, just got to remember to not move my hand, only my fingers. My old trackball was killing my thumb, but this one is easy.

Fantastic Trackball
Took a little while for this 81 yr. old right hand to get used to it, but practice makes perfect ....together with a pair of those magnifying glassed you wear OVER your prescription glasses....and everything's fine!

Orbet Trackball
Have just upgraded to Mac Lion, and was told by Kensington that this would work. Well, it doesn't! They're trackball works software would not allow more that one button to be programmed... Not worth the money.
