Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring (White)
UPC's:
More comfort, highly useful, no unneeded bells and whistles
All the years using the track pad were beginning to take their toll. This trackball was highly rated, and it has been easy to use, comfortable, and well worth adding to my office.

A word on trackballs vs mice : mice are easier , more prevalent and far more popular...much in the way that blasters are easier , more prevalent and far more popular than light sabers yes geeks I'm talking to you ! - but any geek knows that the light saber , whilst being far more difficult and esoteric to master - is by far the more effective , desirable and at day's end elegant weapon and the one that captures the imagination like no other. Met expectations
Easy and simple to use, has good response and the scrolling ring is nice to get around the pages quickly. Bought during deal of the day so was a great price.

Create for tight spaces and lasso selections
I use one on a desk that's crowded with three computers and several monitors with very little room left for the mouse, And the other on another desk where I do most of my photo editing Work. this trackball mouse makes making selections using the lasso tool or using the pen tool a breeze, Even matching the precision I get using my tablet and pen. However, there is a learning curve if you're new to trackball and you catch yourself trying to move th... Show More

Great Trackball
This is a great trackball with a great scroll ring. I use the Kensington Expert Mouse in my studio, but wanted something similar and smaller to tote around with my laptop ( I've given up on using a mouse). This thing fits the bill perfectly. The fit and finish aren't as nice as the Expert, but that's to be expected at this price. The scroll ring operates better than its big brother's does.

This is great tool!
I am an editor and a colorist. I use this in conjunction with my regular mouse (both hands working!) For the best control inside Premiere, After Effects and Davinci Resolve. This is a cheap fix for people who are wanting to buy high end coloring hardware. Best of all is the precision I get with this scroll wheel and the ball

I DO buy these again and again
Plug-in for any PC or Mac. Flawless start. I use them on my Apple & my Dell. Either hand falls easily onto it. Scroll ring is absolutely a fabulous feature. Ball pops out easily to clean finger scum from the bearing bumps (which never wear flat). Simple, quite rugged and beats any other device I know of. I wore out one clicking Windows Solitaire moves 7+ hours a day over 5 years The professional/blog reviewers do not live with a product. They only flirt. Proven partners should be ever regarded.

Little Kensington
Not as many bells and whistles as the more expensive Kensington ball mouse, but this unit was only $$$ postpaid!

Awesome
My hand problems (loss of feeling/arthritis-like pain) are severely diminished. No problems with driver, smoothness, lag, etc.. great product. Only improvement would be tilt control.

Great bang for buck
Lower cost alternative to more expensive trackball offered by Kensington or Logitech. Inclusion of scroll ring was major reason I purchased (aside from price). Some people may find ergonomic not to their liking but for myself it was a perfect fit. The basic feature already included in trackball was enough that I really did not find much need to install software from Kensington which is supposed to give additional enhanced feature. In use, I found... Show More

basic but oh! os useful
mice are a pain, even the ones which have multiple buttons and so forth, because you always run out of space with them, or end up with your arm stretched across the desk, and about to knock off the coffee cup, too. Enter the trackball with scroll ring. XLNT! Versatile, easy to use, intuitive, comfortable. Mistakes you may make are not nearly so disruptive as what a trackpad can cause. Software could be better, seems too simple, but it does what i... Show More

I would buy this product again and again

Works after getting used to it
In standard trackballs (e.g. Logitech), the ball is further away from the palm of the hand (compared to the buttons) than in this one. In the beginning, I thought, I can't work with this but after a week or so, it worked fine. The scroll ring is an excellent idea of course. The buttons could be a few mm longer.

Great Trackball
I've had a Kensington trackball before and switched over to a mouse for years. I was having problems with my hand and thought I'd go back to it and give my hand a change up. This track ball is great, the buttons feel right and the scroll ring which is new to me is a definite improvement. Trackballworks is a downloadable app to customize the tracking device and makes it even more productive. Overall, good product at a great price.

Love the scroll ring, don't love the ergonomics
I've been using a Logitech Marble Mouse for 13 years. Had lots of them. I tried the Orbit Trackball because it has a scroll ring, something the Marble Mouse is missing. The buttons on the Orbit are set wider apart and flatter - not as well placed or comfortable. After a couple of days I went back to using the Marble mouse.

Having a ball may not be fun
I'm afraid the Orbit Trackball is not for me. Although a fan of the Logitech Trackman Marble, the Orbit's ball just seems to sit too high for comfort. Also, it's claim to fame as a good web scroller is bested by the Logitech wheel. Unfortunately I found the orbit to be unique but unusable.

Becoming a fan
Compared to the mouse, this trackball takes some getting used to, though I'm finding the scroll ring, ball and left button intuitive, and will learn to use the right button with time. I am glad that I also ordered the mouse pad with gel wrist rest; much more comfortable than the extended tailpiece.

Compared to Logitech Marble Mouse, it's pretty much junk
The Logitech MM is smoother moving and clicking. The worst parts are the chalky, indefinite, hard to operate clicks. Have had a MM for years and was hoping for improvments. Well the Scroll Ring was a definite plus and the only reason I gave this two stars, everything else and the essence of trackball use, was worse. This is a loser, epic fail. Will have to peddle this as open box on @. BH should drop this.

Love it!
This is a great alternative to a mouse. I use it for 3D Cad programs and really everything. I can whip around the screen much better with this trackball. I highly recommend it!

Quality Mouse; Mid-tier Budget Happy Man
This mouse has improved my mouse posture. I was worried about carpel tunnel, but now I'm not. Or maybe I just postponed it for a couple years. Scrolling is so much easier now.The reason I give it four stars is because the clicking mechanism is somewhat loud and obnoxious. Overall I recommend this mouse to anyone who doesn't want to spend over $ on a trackball mouse.

Great Trackball for the price
I haven't used a trackball in years, and have been looking for a good one. For the price this one is great! If you want the centered ball I would highly recommend this one. Of course if you want to spend more for a Kensington, well I am sure that is a good one too. But pound for pound this one will do the job for you.

Nice trackball mouse
This is my first trackball. I like it a lot. The scroll ring makes this easy to use. Build quality seems good, ball rolls very smoothly.

Perfect Lil Mousey
This take a little bit to get use to, but once u master it I promise u, u won't use anything else. Its so much nicer than moving the mouse around all u do is use the ball located in the top to move the cursor and the ring around it to scroll the a page. Very nice mouse.
