Im currently upgrading my system to be a dual port , dual view and HDMI monitors. This unit at first pass appeared to be the perfect unit. There are several things to be aware of before buying the unit. First, although the unit has 4 inputs and 2 outputs ONLY 4 cables are shipped with the unit. This caught me by surprise. Better than the rest
Reached my frustration level with my Linkskey KVM. Never remembered I had two monitors connected unless a precise power up sequence was followed and even then, it sometimes took two tries. Cables were supplied with this IOgear switch, but I just moved the ones over from the Linkskey and never looked back. Works flawlessly. Works great. Get what you pay for!
Good tools keep you focused on the job without getting in the way or causing distraction. So far the IOGear KVMP achieves this! Pretty good... but not perfect
I use the kvmp switch to drive two Dell U2711 displays, a keyboard, a 2Gb drive and headphones. It all seems to work pretty well. Switching is easy, basically a single button push. The pc's (running Vista/64 and Win 7/64 respectively) don't seem to have any issues at all. This is good... But... Worth every penny!
I purchased this KVM switch to switch between my two mac pros. Originally I was switching between the computers by hand every time I wanted to switch between my video/audio rigs. Removing desktops became too much to deal with and affected my productivity. Now I can run both mac pros (2 monitors-two computers-one mouse and keyboard) simultaneously! No more heavy lifting and rewiring every time I want to use an alternate computer. Why didn't I get this sooner! Easy and quick setup and all the wires needed were included. Worth every penny.

only game in town
It's a pretty specific and exotic piece of hardware so they can charge a premium. Fortunately it's built like a tank and very reliable. I use it to switch between a hackintosh and a linux box between dual 27 2560x1440 monitors. There's some very specific issues with power saving on one of the monitors, doesn't seem to send the correct power off signal through the switch which causes the 2nd monitor to power cycle every minute or so. I previously had the 4 port model for work, and invested in the 2 port model for my home setup.

Worth every penny!!!
I was seeking a KVM switch to replace my old one that only supported a single monitor. It took me a while to settle on this one, but I am surely glad I did. The setup of this product is VERY simple because everything comes in one box. I didn't have to worry about getting the right cables in a separate transaction and hoping everything would come in at the same time. I have found the product to do everything the description said it would. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Great product
We have two of these in our office and they do exactly what we need them to do. They are not difficult to install and switching between computers is very easy. There doesn't seem to be any other product that does the same thing so it's fortunate that IOGears KVMP is an excellent product. B&H prices are even better.

Great product
The device was very intuitive and easy to setup. It did not take very long to get both systems up and running. And it worked the first time. I would recommend it to anyone hunting for a good KVMP switch.

I really like this product and the 4 port version. I use one for my game and other machines, and the 2 port is my work and school laptop. They work flawlessly.
