Very impressed
Very impressed with this tv , quick and easy set up straight out of the box, connected via wifi and all apps tested and the tv fully operational within 10 minutes of opening the box. Later i connected to the internet via an Ethernet lead for a more reliable signal but am very impressed with the tv quality. Only small criticism is the remote control is a bit flimsy but I use our BT youview remote, also the screen is very reflective so the curtains have to be closed if watching tv during the day.

Great TV
We've had a Hitachi TV for many years without any problems however recently it started refusing to come on, having spoken to a couple of repair men and discovered it was going to cost £180-£240 to repair it we decided to have a look to see how much a new one would cost and we were delighted to find this one for only £60 more than the repair would have cost. We have now been using it for a few weeks and we are really pleased with the picture and sound quality a great TV at a fantastic price.

Reasonable value for money
I had some reservations about getting an entry-level panel of this size and pixel density due to possibility of dead pixels, or a general lack of quality control, however Hitachi is a brand I've heard of, and the price was right. The TV itself is pretty good so far; I've watched some 4K content on it and it performed admirably given its price point. The speakers are a bit weak, which I expected, but I can always buy a soundbar later. Its "HDR" I would take with a pinch of salt, however.

A few things that could be different but not bad
I have had the tv for a few weeks now and I have had to unplug the tv to reset it a few times now, The first time was because the tv would not turn on from standby, when I read up it said some thing about the power supply to the tv and to in plug it to reset. I have had to this a number of times due to the EPG disappearing and the wireless connection disappearing from the settings menu. Other then this the tv has a fab picture and sound, but for the money is it worth the messing around?

Great TV, glad we went Smart
So glad we got a Smart TV as we watch a lot of online programmes anyway, so having Youtube, Netflix and Prime so easily accessible is brilliant. The sound isn't as good as you might hope but easily fixed by getting additional gear with a sound bar and woofer. Netflix has a little lag sound doesn't always change immediately when adjusted with the controller, but that may well be to do with our internet connection. Overall loving it, as super easy to install and great for gaming.

GREAT SMART 4K TV - CAN'T FAULT IT!
Really good TV. Does what it says on the tin! Easy to set up. Stand and fixings were slightly awkward to figure out, but it's quite simple really. Don't bother with the little instruction book - just don't! It's SO small you need a magnifying glass to read it. Even then it's not worth it! Connectivity it great (threw away my HDMI switch I had to use before). Picture quality is brilliant - 100%+! Sound is not brilliant, but didn't expect it to be for small built in speakers. Good TV!

Good Tv, faulty remote
The TV is good and it connects fast to the net. At the beginning, I couldn't make the remote work properly, when I pressed the buttons not always the TV received the command. After resetting the TV the problem with the remote has disappeared, with the exception of Netflix: when I am inside the app the remote for some reason stops working properly. Anyway I got in touch with the customer care, they wanted to replace the TV but I chose to have a 20-pound gift card.

Hitachi 43" 4k TV: Well worth the buy!
For the overall price that I paid I received a solid product and one that I would gladly recommend and have recommended to friends and family. I was in need of a new TV and I had a specific price range in mind and the price I paid far exceeded my expectations, in a good way of course. Argos drive a hard bargain and also a great service! My delivery arrived exactly when I was told it would and I was updated the whole time. Solid product and a solid service! Thanks!

Television is very good value.
So I was getting really annoyed with my old TV and just didn't like the fact I had to give bank details to Amazon just to watch BBC iplayer etc especially as its a free use. So bit the bullet and looked around for a new TV with apps I wanted already installed. Found this TV and it is great, all the apps I need without all the fuss and super easy setup, lovely clear and crisp picture, sound is really good and nice design. Competively priced, very happy with it.

Nice basic smart TV
Works well as an internet-TV. It is a good size for a small bedroom wall, it is thin and light and it has a great image. Cons: the sound is not great. Low and mid-range is good, but as you increase it, it almost feels like it is increasing the bass rather than the volume. Very loud is not any more discernible than medium, even though it is noisier. So keep that in mind, if you are thinking of a large room or a noise environment, you will need a soundbar.

Great TV for the price
Bought this tv just after Xmas in the sale. It's really easy to assemble the stand, and I was up and running in a few minutes. Everything is clearly labelled and worked first time. The picture quality is good on normal channels and excellent on the HD channels, or HD inputs. Easy to connect to WiFi. One of the best features is the ability to scroll back in time through the tv guide and instantly play through the relevant catch up apps. Highly recommended!

Simple to set up and v.good quality for money
This unit was bought for a friend for Christmas and she is overjoyed with it. Really easy to set up everything is just plug and play! Picture quality is exceptional for the price! My friend was speechless when she received it and now is very happy! To that point I bought another for my other friend who's TV just gave up on him! Very good TV for the price paid! Only thing it doesn't have is the old scart compatibility but has enough USB and HDMI sockets!

I wanted a single stand TV and chose this.
It is advertised as 4k ultra HD with HDR but does not state it on the box?! Picture quality is 4 out of 5. I would have gone for a Sony or Samsung but as this had a single stand so chose it. Has great connectivity- USB, hdmi, aux, adsl, wifi. Turkish Kestrel company made a subcontract to hitachi. No mention of motion rate usually 50hz and 100hz standard but nowadays 500hz plus is great or ideal like Samsung and Sony. overall 4 out of 5.

My new TV is the best acquisition in 2019
Amazing TV for the price paid.! Easy to carry, nice screen size being enough to enjoy good moments watching a movie. Staff from argos provide me all the informations necessary to take the decision to buy this TV The frame from the TV could be with more chrome to give a better appearance; however, that is my personal opinion as some people like just as it is. Low price and great quality; I and my family are very happy with our new Hitachi TV.

I bought this tv for my bedroom, there is nothing wrong with the tv, but i still use a video as i have a great deal of films and home movies, as this tv does not have a scart and my video does, i bought the right connections to go from scart to hdmi, but after getting it all connected up, it would not work on this tv, the videos were just jumping about making them un watchable, bit disappointed but have kept the tv will use it in my caravan

Nice TV - issues with BT TV
The TV is great. For the price it really can't be knocked. Picture quality is fantastic and the design is sleek and modern. The apps are the standard fair with youtube netflix and the odd dodgy game. It has its own appstore which has a lot of pages although most generally low quality. The only real issue I've had is setting up the BT TV remote to communicate with the TV. I've tried all sorts of codes and still haven't found one that works.

Same as last time due ti cost!!
The last one lasted just a little over two years and I gambled on a repair when it went wrong which was a costly mistake that won't be repeated because even though the repair was a partial success the rest of the TV only last 3 months, I bought the same again due to cost restrictions and every other T.V that I could afford was just as bad in the review section and there is no guarantee today that a dearer T.V will last any longer anyway.

Bought a couple of weeks ago but only got it set up two days ago as it is wall mounted, excellent tv very pleased got it connected to you view box. The built in nextflix and other apps are perfect , lovely clear picture, sound is very good, and a nice easy and clear remote hand set to use. No problems and recommend anyone who is looking for a tv not to miss this one as the price is good compared to similar brands for sale in the shops.

Perfect for my batchelor pad
Stylish elegant and simple design make it stand out and give a calm sharp colour pics and the sound is not bad either- it would be perfect with a sound bar/system just to fine tune the clear sound which the tv gives away when watching or listening to music. Easy to install and the start up menu is clear direct and easy to understand without all the smart tech words no one understand anyway what means.

Brilliant TV
Bought this tv for a bedroom and to keep as a spare in case my other 43 in tv went wrong, the picture sound and connectivity are perfect, picks up my wi-fi signal with no problems at all, Freeview plus works as it should as do all the other catch up services, the only point I would make is that the stand is mighty shiny it is a pity it wasn't black but that is my personal opinion

Hitachi tv
When first out of the box, great first impressions, took a while to set up, not much paperwork accompanying tv set. However once you start installation, you can go into tv guide, and has a very good and informative menu for all trouble shooting, which I found more helpful. Good price for size of tv, and all the usual extras, Netflix, etc. Better volume than our old tv too.

Hitachi 4k smart tv
Just bought this TV, and I can say I'm very impressed with it easy to set up the picture quality is fantastic, sound is great from the TV but I do use a surround sound system that makes it even better, the TV comes with a good amount of hdmi slots for all your gadgets and it's easy to switch from one to another, in my opinion this is a great TV for the price.

Not The Best Value
Image quality is good and sound is great for the price. Sadly fails as a smart TV due to poor connectivity - almost always fails to connect to the WiFi and incredibly slow and drops when it does. Impossible to stream Netflix, iPlayer, YouTube, or 4OD and so useless as a smart TV. Great TV if only needed for gaming or Blu-rays but useless as a smart TV.

My TV is excellent ideal as it is not too big
We wanted a TV that was larger than our previous one but did not overshadow our room. We have purchased Hitachi before and were pleased with our previous TV so purchasing Hitachi again supports our statement that they are good reliable products. The look and stand are modern and not overimposing. We would recommend this TV to any other prospective buyers.
