Hitachi soundbar
I bought this item from the Argos in Bulwell, the product is perfect other than one little thing, and that is that the AUX cable that I received with the product is not long at all, this made it very hard to find a good spot for it. Because of how big it is if i put it at the bottom of the tv it blocks a small part of the screen, but it is the only place I can put it because of the AUX cable. But overall it is a very good product and very highly recommend.

My first sound bar - great addition to TV
Sound bars are a new thing to me. Buying a TV, I thought it was worth the little extra outlay. Very full and rounded sound - an intensely enjoyable experience. I've started using my TV + sound bar as a music system too, with a USB drive connected to TV's USB connections. The sound is marvellous. If no activity at all through it after 15mins, it switches off - but good for the planet and my pocket once I got used to it. Remote puts it on again in a flash!

Whoops!
Already having an Hitachi TV, I plumped for this sound bar by the same manufacturer being the right size and a very good price for the spec. It worked great first time...but. The only place I had for the bar was right in front of the telly. The bad news was that it interfered with the remote for the telly and you had to reach up as high as you can or get up to change channels. Unfortunately it had to go back. Otherwise I would recommend it unreservedly.

Basic soundbar
If you want warm sound, good bass or adjustments then buy a set up with a separate subwoofer. This nicely amplifies mumbled voices from the TV and it's not expensive to try. What bass there is appears at higher volumes, at the lower end it can sound little better than standard TV speakers. Budget all-in-ones are not a patch on any separate subwoofer packages but a solid starter purchase for general TV content or games consoles. Film buffs look elsewhere!

Hitachi Soundbar.
Decent quality soundbar, very good for the price. Sound is a touch on the bassy side for me, but that can be corrected by adjusting the equalizer on the source that you have it connected to. Has fixing holes for wall mounting, meaning you can also mount it to a TV which is on a wall bracket by purchasing a sound bar adapter bracket. Set up was achieved in seconds (toslink cable). All in all, very good and met my expectations for the price.

Decent sound
Good sound, much better than standard TV speakers. Note: Doesn’t connect to LG TV via sound sync option or device connection wizard, so having to use optical cable. No option to amend bass, treble etc but preset sound is well balanced so it’s not a problem. Fixes the all too common issue of music and explosions too loud but talking too quiet when watching TV shows or movies. Clear sound, easy setup. Looks nice and can be wall mounted if needed.

I Had To Return It
Setup is straight forward but I had a problem with it switching off every 15 minutes. The idiot's guide does mention that it will switch off if the sound is at 'near mute' level or if there is no signal at all. However I truned up the sound level of both my television and my Freesat box but still it switched itself off every 15 minutes. Having lost confidence in the brand I returned it in exchange for a Bush model at the same price. This works great.

Hitachi Sound Bar
Do not buy this product! Had to purchase an optical cable because the Blutooth did not work. Sound quality was very poor with very limited base and higher level range. There was a background two tone noise which was very distracting and a centre blue standby light that was so bright it gave you a headache after five minutes and made it impossible to look at the tv screen. The remote was useless resulting in you having to contort your body to use it.

Improves TV sound
Needed to improve sound quality of my 32" Sony tv. The soundbar is placed on a shelf under the tv and there is a noticeable improvement. Easy to connect with cable provided although I've used an optical cable which I had. To be honest I cannot discern any difference between the two cables. I think part of the improved sound is due to the speakers now facing forward rather than tucked away at the side or rear of the tv but well worth the investment!

Great value soundbar
Picked this up as my previous more expensive soundbar had broken & I wanted a cheaper replacement for the short term. I’m really happy that I found this one. If you’re using it to watch regular TV and listen to music, it’s a great choice. If you’re a film lover and want to have too sound quality for your films, you could do better, but you won’t find better value for money easily. Really easy to set up, basically plug-in and go.

Looks great and does the job
I bought this as I wanted a sound bar but did not want a deep bass woofer. The Volume of my new Virgin V6 box is factory set at a lower level than previous boxes. The soundbar makes it clearer. I use it with an optical audio cable (which I purcased separately) but it comes with a 3.5mm jack plug cable for a headphone outlet and a 3.5mm jack plug to RCA cables. My T.V. an LG plasma, has the optical aiudio output so it was a no-brainer.

I was impressed with this model
I was impressed with this model and the price was great, but I hadn’t checked my tv model and I was unable to set this up. TV only one year old but few connection points, and WiFi wouldn’t work also. Returned to Argos, gent serving surprised as this model states fits many models; which I’m sure it will, but TV was the problem and one year old and now discontinued. The sound bar wasn’t the problem. Argos no fuss refund

Easy set up, great sound quality!
I was a bit tentative about buying this sound bar as I got this as a present for my partner who is very much into sound and music production. The price seemed to good to be true, but the set up was really quick and easy and it fits nicely under my 49" TV. The sound quality is amazing, much clearer than the TV speakers and has more depth. Overall, I would say this is an absolute steal and would be a welcome addition to your TV set up!

Product description
The product in its self is pretty good, but the description is very miss leading. It says its 120w, this is the total wattage of all the speakers in the unit. The sub is only 30w, so people think they are geting a loud sound bar, but in actual fact what they get is something thats nowhere near that. The manufacturer should list the individual speaker wattage so people know that they are buying a sound bar thats not as loud as 120w.

Great Soundbar
I'm really pleased with the Hitachi soundbar & price was fantastic so adds to the pleasure of purchase. Our TV sound was quite tinny before and caused constant frustration as some of us could hear it and some couldn't depending on where you were sitting. The soundbar projects the sound more evenly across the room so it's a big improvement for us. Also used the Bluetooth function to listen to music from my phone which was great!

Decent for the money
For the money you can't really complain at this sound bar. I bought it because the tv in my conservatory was very quiet and if I want to blue tooth some music to it while I'm just outside it does the job. It is by no means a substitute for a more powerful sound bar with a sub. There are no adjustments for bass, treble etc. It's just a basic sound bar that's a bit louder than a basic tv with the added feature of blue tooth

Does what is says.....
Neat compact design, sit well under the Hitachi TV bought earlier. Straightforward to set up with digital audio lead bought separately. For size and rice, the sound is quite good; certainly "fuller" than TV on its own, so good for Blu-Ray and DVD viewing, especially DVDs of older TV shows. If there's one niggle with it, its that there's no scale to show what volume setting you're using - unless that's on the Bluetooth side.

Good product.
I'm very happy with this speaker. The bass could be better. Overall, I strongly recommend it. It has improved my TV so much. The Bluetooth is superb. The remote is a bit small. So for people who have young children, it can be tricky keeping it away from them. I think Hitachi can design something so it's easy to stick the remote on the wall. Reviews hardly lie. So I read lots of product reviews before making any purchases.

Does all you would expect with 30w speakers
Out the box, plugged in power supply, turned it on, had my smartphone bluetooth turned on, then held down the bluetooth button on remote for 3 secs & hey presto 'hitachi soundbar' appears on phone & pressed play on music & whoosh 30w of power. Lack of subwoofer means no ability to ramp up the bass but thats life. Works best linked wirelessly - eg using bluetooth - did test wired phono jack cables but volume levels way down.

Don't forget your TV controls as well
At first I thought the volume was no higher than my TV volume, but then I decided to try my TV control as well as the soundbar control. Although my TV volume had been at it's highest, for some reason as I had plugged the aux cable into the TV headphone, everything changes. So when I touched the TV control a headphone symbol came up with 26(out of 100) and I could only turn it up to up to 50 before it was too loud. Fantastic

Needed sound bar for new tv
I recently got a new 49 inch tv which sounded awful, so thought I would get a sound bar. For me I didn't want to pay alot or have one with wires running everywhere and the reviews for this seemed good so I went for it. It was easy to set up and looks good by the tv however my only gripe on this the sound only goes up a few times so I struggle to hear the radio on when I am in the garden or upstairs :( It's a hard life lol!

Descent soundbar
This soundbar is good value for money with descent sound for the average sized room. My only criticism is the audio optical port is underneath the unit and there is barely enough room to fit the cable. It may mean lifting the soundbar a little to accommodate the cable as it does not sit properly. A little experimenting is required with the remote control to get things working right but other than that it's a good buy.

Excellent sound
Bought this as my tv sounded tinny. Compare them both and you wonder why the tv even bothered to add speakers. Its great. I can hook up my tv, ps4 and phone and i think even something else. The sound is great on everything you can hear everything the bass adds so much more, honest i got freaked out when i heard sounds from my side then realised was the sound bar. Just buy one you honestly will not be disappointed
