Superlux HD-662
Good Sound for few Bucks
I purchased those Headphones because I needed some inexpensive Headphones in order to play my bass without disturbing my neighbours. So I ordered the Superlux HD-662 simply because they are among the cheapest products, but still have good reviews. I never thought I would use them in a different occasions then playing alone at home, because I was used to more expensive headphones. Quality: As usually the thomann package arrived very quickly a... Show More

Bought as standby and became my number 1!
I can't recommend these highly enough. I'm a full-time audio professional and spend long periods of the day wearing "cans". I bought these as both my main pairs of headphones - BeyerDynamic DT100s & DT150s - were badly in need of an overhaul due to wear and tear. I found these so comfortable both to wear and listen to that the BeyerDynamics (which cost more than 3 times the price of these Superlux headphones) have been relegated to "spare" and th... Show More

Great purchase !
Now that I've had these headphones for more than 6 months, I though it would be worth reviewing them! They've had a lot to put up with, since I bring them everywhere when I travel (long drives/flights - squeezed in with luggage etc) and they've held up quite well. I haven't noticed any decrease in sound quality at all or any damage for that matter. I mostly use these headphones for home recording / mixing / live sound mixing and also jus... Show More

Nice Headphones for monitoring
I have to admit that I already own an AKG K-271 and only needed the Superlux HD-662 for monitoring purposes. I really like the concept of AKG's self-adjusting headband, so I gave Superlux a try. Actually the headphone is not as comfortable as the AKG. I have to put it off once in a while in big sessions because after, let's say, one hour the pressure can require a lot concentration. So I think the whole actually just looks the original but doesn... Show More

Decent headphones, but there are obviously better
I got these as a budget pair of recording headphones when trying to bulk up my home studio gear. If you're on a low budget, like me, then these are great. The headphones split audio really well and can be useful when doing a really rough mix. They're not only great for home recording but I use these when gigging with my band as sound/signal check headphones, which is particularly useful if we're playing in a bit of a rowdy, loud pub. Great Sound Quality, a Little Uncomfortable
Quality: These are great headphones considering their price range, I have used them on countless electronic production projects and they have a very clear sound with great s/n ratio. Even for studio recordings they are useful, but will of course never reproduce low end sounds as well as a good set of monitors can. They also act great as cans: I have used them to send a metronome to a drummer in a live set-up, he swears by them! Great externa... Show More

Excellent budget choice
I have had the headphones for years now and they have served me well during traveling and at home. The sound is quite nice and is comparable to headphones found in the 80?-120? price range. For music listening they are very good and the sound is balanced. For gaming and movie purposes I feel they lack bass quite a bit. This can be fixed with equalizer settings to some extent. They clamp the users head quite tightly at first, but over time they be... Show More

What a great buy!
Hello friends of Thomann! By looking for a new pair of head phones I stumbled upon "Superlux" online and was astound about all the positive reviews here on Thomann. After doing some addtional research I ordered my a pair of HD-662s because the website of "Superlux" said that they were predestinated for bass players like me. The overall tuning should match a pair of the great DT770s! Now, after quite a few months of testing I can say I'm very we... Show More

Not exactly brilliant, but useful
I use the Superlux HD-662 as monitoring headphones in the studio. It is very useful for this specific usage and it is not as bad as you could expect for this price when it comes to sound quality - but it's not exactly brilliant. When you are on budget and maybe need more than one headphone this can be a cheap solution. + cheap + almost no crosstalk while recording - not very detailed in sound quality So if you need a cheap headphone ... Great headphones for Tracking
I bought these headphones as I needed a cheap backup pair for tracking music while my usual beyerdynamic 770s were in repair for a couple of weeks. Use is exactly what you want them for - closed headphones great for tracking/recording with minimal bleed! although the cons are the headphones cups get quite uncomfortable after a long period of time so be sure to give you or the player a much deserved break! otherwise im sure the cups can be replaced with much softer ones quite cheaply if desired. Highly recommended for tracking or backup headphones!

Ok as a spare.
Bought these headphones as part of a interface bundle. Already have loads of headphones but couldn't turn them away for the price. Material seems to be of a medium quality. To be honest I don't think these would stand the test of time but that will have to be yet seen. Sound is fairly flat which is good for mixing. headband adjusts to the users head but I find them to be quite uncomfortable after 10 or 20 minutes. OK as a spare but to be honest thats about all I would use them for. Come with a nice little bag and a screw on quarter inch jack which is nice.

As good as headphones twice the price
Bought them for the musicians that come in my studio to record. Use them as monitors. These are closed back headphones so the sound doesn't go out or in. The sound is ok, the bleed is ok, comfort is ok and the quality is good. Nothing bad i can say about them, and nothing exceptionally great. These are just good headphones that work. And for the price these are just what i need. Recomend them for everyone that need recording headphones for monitoring. Don't use them for mixing, they are not meant to do that.

good during band practice
Perfect for monitoring while playing live with my band, I needed a cheap closed ear solution and I found it, sound quality is better than i expected and shuts out all the outside sounds when practicing at a high volume with a full band, wish the cable was longer but thats just a personal preference I believe its the same length as most headphone cables, can always get an extension. headphones stay on tight which is perfect and they are built solid, would not be afraid if they fell to the floor a few times.

Great headphones for the price
Bought these for tracking bands and they are quite decent! Have a good amount of noise cancellation for getting sounds if your working in a live room environment. Not the best sounding ones but again they do the job for the price! Use them for referencing mixes too to pick out problem frequencies and mix issues and they are quite accurate. Love that it comes with a pouch and a 1/4" adapter that screws on the ensure it doesn't be get knocked out or go missing

Excellent for rehearsal use.
I use them only for rehearsal (sadly i play right next to the drummer :), and they have a very decent isolation for the price. The sound, although not accurate enough for studio use, is very workable for live/rehearsal use (dont overload the bass :). They are a little bit bulky and in the summer the heat might of consideration. Nevertheless, more than fair for the price and very usable. Highly recommended.

Quality bargain
I use them for practice on my roland drum kit. Sound produced is clear and detailed. Kick sound is reproduced well. On some other headphones I tried, the kick was barely audible (eg HD-681F). They are very comfortable over 2-3 hours sessions and don't squeeze my head to much. It also provides decent isolation from outside noise and sticking noise produced on plastic/rubber cymbals.

Good in it's price range
Compared with other headphones in it's price range, this has more detail in mid-high and high frequencies. Quite comfortable. The synthetic leather on the ear pads might crack quite easy but this doesn't really affect anything else than the looks. Built quite well, not much "bleed" while tracking voices or other instruments that require small distance from the microphone.

outstanding
these headphones have a great, really smooth & flat frequency response that you can feel confident mixing and mastering with ! they're sturdy enough to be used as acoustic drum monitors and handle high level clicks with ease. i use them sometimes to make sure my studio monitors are on the ball & they keep me bang on all the time, whatever the musical genre....... a must !

Get bad in 2-3 Years so Bad bad quality
At the beginning I was very excited with my sumerlux headphones. Nice bass and audio quality, and handled to recorded with close headphones. But now I have a lossy equipment, no real bass(get loss over the time) and not that close as you need for a studio setup. Also the cable it's not durable, short and bad assembled. Not for recommendation.

Very good for the price
I use these headphones in my home studio for recording bass and for rough mixing. They are not the best, but considering the price the headphones really get the job done. Since I haven't had any issues despite using them on a daily basis for over a year, I can say that they are reliable. Highly recommended (whether you are a serious musician or a hobbyist)

Nice Sound but uncomfortable
I use these headphones for my home recordings. I really enjoy the sound quality of these headphones, they are really good but I really can't wear them for more than 20 minutes, my head and ears hurt everytime I use them because of their tight fit around the ears even fully opened. I wouldn't buy it again for sure only because of their comfort lacking.
