Sony MDR-222KD Children's Stereo Headphones (Black)
MPN's:
Great headphones! Fit Mom and Dad too.
We bought a pair of these seven or so years back for our kids to use. All these many years later, they work as well as they ever did, and it's not for lack of hard use. The only issue with the MDR-222KDs is that the foam is deteriorating. there's no denying these are very tough. Another pleasant surprise with these is the sound, which punches well above it's weight. Very smooth, not at all tinny. Freq. response seems very flat to my ear; which me... Show More

Not loud enough
I know you need to be careful with headphones for kids. We bought these to go with a DVD player for our trip to Alaska. Unfortunately, the 10dp lower sound made them so quiet that the kids had a hard time hearing the movies on the airplane. I had to take out my earbuds and let them use those being careful not to let them turn it up too loud. We ended up buying another pair of cheap headphones during a layover so they could hear their movies.

Have lasted the abuse of a child...
I bought my oldest daughter a pair of these when she entered Kindergarten as they needed their own pair for computer lab. She is now going into 3rd grade and these have been thrown in the closet, under the bed, stepped on, etc., and the cord used to tie up things during her playing and still work and function properly with little sign of the abuse they have gone through. Buying another pair for my 4 yr old.

our first buy
Wanted to buy a headphone for my 4 yr old to help manage long flight journeys.the main reason i bought this is because they are designed for kids and their gentle ears. he finds it comfortable and wears it for quiet sometime. Sound levels are good and i think we have a good buy.

Good enough for the money.
These headphones work well enough for something made specifically for kids. Perhaps it's best you can get for the price. I'm not sure how long those will hold though as they doesn't look very solid.

Headphones for kids..
I work with youth in a music studio/class room, these come in handy when you don't want to think about 1. Damaging hearing. 2. Ruining your good eqipment. 3. And Leaving a Tangled mess.

Great Headphones for Kids
I am a teacher with 100 K-2 children on a computer program. The headphones fit everyone (they adjust for bigger/older kids) and are comfortable for them. Great product!

Perfect as advertised
I used them for the public to listen to videos via a headphone amp. Out of 40 purchased, not one broke. They are not studio headphones, but they work as advertised.

good for kids
small, light, soft - good for kids. best of all, it limits the sound level to suit for kids' ears.
