Perfect for their use.
B&H was very generous to include these phones with the Alesis Forge kit that I purchased from them. They fit firmly and do a great job of canceling (or blocking) noise from outside sources. When my wife walks by and says something to me, I have to stop and listen closely so as to hear what she is saying. At the same time, they make it possible to hear all the details and subtleties of the kits sounds and velocities without having to turn the volume up to damaging levels.

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be this way, but I think it has a weird sound profile, some frequencies seem to sound a bit low. It does heat up your ears a bit (since it's big, has good isolation and is over ear), but nothing major. Got it in the bundle along with the Roland TD11K e-drum.
