No longer a Bose customer. A great pair of cans.
I went to B n H to try out the Sennheiser HDs because of so many rave reviews but learning that Grados work for my type of music I frequently listen to (metalhead here), I thought I'd give em a shot. I tried the SR80 and then the SR 125. They both blew me away. I read that the 325s are minutely different from the 225s and that they were the perfect pair in the line up. I bought them, tried them out and couldn't be happier. I have a new appreciati... Show More

Left and right channels were swapped. I wish I was joking.
My trusty SR-60s have served me well for 13 years, but it was time for an upgrade. I love the open soundstage and mid-range warmth of Grados and wanted to stay in the family, so I picked up the SR-225s. Lo and behold, L and R were swapped out of the box. Inexcusable for a pair of $200 headphones. Kudos to B&H for a reasonable return/exchange process.

Great sound shoddy lightweight build
I sampled these recently at a nearby high store. They sounded near perfect to my ears but the material quality and overall build and design were extremely dated, as thought they came from the 1950's. The sound quality is not good enough to make me overlook the substandard craft.

It's Magic
I don't how Grado does it but these headphones have that certain ability to bring music to life! Yes, they look kinda funky and not so sleek, but that's not what matters is it? Put 'em on, turn out the lights and loose yourself in sonic bliss!

Incredible sound
I use these on my home stereo as well as travel with them. The sound is incredible and they are very comfortable to wear for extended amounts of time. The cord is a bit heavy for travel, but that's ok.

Better Drivers, Smoother Response...
I've used these headphones for monitoring recordings and for listening to classical music... I think they represent the essence of the Grado sound without all the embellishments...

Changes the way you listen
I went from a $100 Sennheisers to these and there was an amazing difference. A higher level of clarity, an openness-airy feel, and no listening fatigue
