Grado GR10e In-Ear Headphones

Attempts to reproduce as similar feel of full sized Grado...

Here's my take on these new edition to Grado lineup. I originally thought these were hand aseembled in Brooklyn USA as well but they are not. Well that aside, these are one of the best in ear headphones with some shortcomings. First off, the headphone cable is very thin, so if you're thinking or even comparing it to the full sized Grado cans, you'll be disappointed. They definitely look fragile and I am so afraid to use them as I might inadvertan... Show Moreitly yank on them and lose one of the channel. Next, the silicon ear tips (SM/M/LG) does not seem to hold the ear buds in place and the same time they provide that similar open air feel just like the big brothers. But the issue is that they do not hold them in place and they keep falling off. Sound wise, it's similar on the highs and mids similar to the full sized open air cans but the lows definitely falls short of the full sized ones. As far as designs goes, well, let me put it to you this way, if I had to compare the designs of say Etymotics, I would prefer the Etymotic design over the 10e hands down. It would have been best of both worlds. For $400 dollars though, I would rather prefer the Etymotic 4PT if you compare the overall experience and not just the Grado name, that's my opinion. I use the 10e's with Astell Kern AK120II.Show Less
