Why pay more?
I wanted an inexpensive pair of headphones to listen to CDs and DVDs on my portable player. I had gotten a pair of earbuds but, for some reason, they lost their treble. I did not have a lot to spend so, out of a number of headphones on your website for $$or less, I chose thes because I liked the way that they looked, the price, and the mostly positive reviews. As far as my own experience, they are extremely comfortable for the price and seem to b... Show More

Excellent sound and comfort, not durable
The sound is excellent on these. They sound better than the earphones my iPod came with. They're very comfortable too. The wiring seems thick and durable, but there appears to be a custom made fabric covering over each earpiece that will eventually stretch and tear. I don't see any way of replacing it without a major hassle, so these phones are essentially disposable unfortunately. Enjoy them while they last.

Good exercise headphones
I like to listen to music while exercising, but I don't care for ear buds. I've had the Sennheiser PX 100 and loved them, really great sound. The plug became damaged and not worth repairing. I did not want to spend the money to replace so I bought the the ATH P. It is a decent headphone for what it costs, though not the great sound of the Sennheiser. The negatives: not foldable, ear covers not replaceable.

Good, affordable headphones
Sound is good and the headphones are comfortable. However, I was hoping they would be comfortable enough to wear while dozing in bed and they are not if you sleep on your side. Also they have a tendency to ride forward a little but it's not that big a deal. All in all I am satisfied with them.

best headphones on this price
excellent sound , great frequency range and excellent fidelity,, not good isolation because they are open back , construction doesnt seem very durable but I still have them working more than 6 months , if you want headphones for use in a non very noisy place this are an excellent choice.

ATH-P5. Best bang for the buck.
I use this for my Ipod. Can't stand earbuds. This gives the best sound for the money in my opinion. Quite comfortable too. Sound noticeably richer than the older ATH-P1 it replaced. For mp3 listening with an Ipod or similar (Zune) I highly recommend them.

Good if you don't like earbuds.
I use these for watching TV and listening to music and videos on computer devices. The sound is OK, they are not extremely loud, but it is easier to get more bass than with earbuds. They are very lightweight and comfortable to use.

Good price, good headphones
Excellent sound in this price range. Clear and detailed across the spectrum. I think most people would call it flat, which is what I like. Bass not falsely exaggerated.

Great sound, but flimsy
The fabric covering over each earpiece started to loosen as fast as the fourth time I wore them.
