Great headset with a few drawbacks
The 7.1 sound is great for gaming and movies. Wireless connectivity is good, but to use Xbox chat a supplied cable must be connected to the controller. This cable works fine, but the cable is difficult to disconnect from the controller and the voice quality on the receiving end has been described as "tinny". This can be overcome by acquiring the Xbox stereo headset adaptor and a 2.5 to 3.5 audio cable. Battery life can be a little short, lasting approximately 7 - 10 hours. But no regrets so far.

Great build quality and incredible 7.1 sound
Best headset I've owned, the sound is incredible, you need to understand how to set up the optical properly as the instructions are a little lacking, thankfully these can be found in the way of video tutorials on YouTube. You'll also need to update the firmware on the transmitter and headset. The headset itself is extremely well built, and very comfy, although as it is so well built it can get a little heavy after several hours of use which is why I have rated it 4 and not 5 in that department.

Shockingly BAD Customer Service
Travelled a distance to get to this store as item was on sale and not available locally. Arrived collected quickly then when I arrived home &looked at the box closer it was obvious it had been opened already. Once I actually opened the box none of the parts were wrapped up, the cables were all loose & an appearance of thrown together.It got worse quickly when it was obvious that parts in the box were missing. How Argos are allowed to resell products like this is a disgrace and perhaps illegal

They do what they should and do it well
First off I got these on offer for £130, which is a bargain. That aside they're still great. I bought them for my son who's got an Xbox one and a PS4, I can confirm they work on both platforms in full. Both chat and game sound. The fit is great and good for long periods of use. The 3 sound settings are a nice touch too. The feature of lifting the mic to the up position to mute is much better than an in line remote. The one thing I would like to see is both a spare and removable battery.

no leather letdown
Paid £245 drop down in price after weekend by over £100 The Fabric ear cuffs for price should be leather Sound OK for gaming. HEADSET controls in alkward location AND no real practical battery indecator UNLESS ON CHARGE. If they don't connect you sometime need to run headset down to zero power to reset (no rest bottom on headset). Only worth 100 due to above issues. But overall design feel is good when they are working ( once you work out how too use. ) HAD TO GO ON YOU TUBE FOR HELP.

Fantastic product
Never really thought about game headphones as I'm not a mega gamer now I have a little one. I do keep up with news nd products though. I know that Astros are one of the best makes when it comes to head set and for at the time, half price I couldn't say no.... they didn't disappoint. Brilliant for when you're stuck for space to have a complete media system. It has 7.1 surround sound which is great. It works of only for x box but my ps4 and pc. Would recommend for average gamer or advance

One of the best
From owning multiple premium gaming headphones Steel series 800 Logitech G933 I can honestly say this is the best sounding headphones, sound quality is superb, its a bit bassy but EQ tweaking on my sound card fixed that, I would rate it a 10/10 if they were more comfortable, they are to loose on my head. It does not have a 3.5mm jack so you cant passively use them, always relying on the one battery, the connectivity is great having a in out optical connections. & @ £135 WOW Reccomended

Bargain at £112
Excellent value at clearance price. One nuisance for gaming on Xbox one is the cable connection (included in box) to the controller for mic chat. This would be ok if this also powered the headset, but this requires a separate USB micro connection. Not going to be a problem often as the battery is good for a long gaming session, but the odd marathon effort is going to see your head connected to the mains. Otherwise, surround sound excellent and for that reason worth it over A40's.

Amazing Sound
Game sound is excellent. The mic for chat is poor, everyone I spoke to said it sounded monotone, tinny or like I was on a mobile phone, that said I have had this experience with every expensive headset I have brought. Quality of this headset is very good, the best of any I have seen and I have owned expensive headsets from all suppliers. Headset is also very comfortable, I have worn it for around 4hrs straight without discomfort.

Headphones x-box one
We brought these headphones to replace the ones that had broken as a Christmas present for our son. Not only did we buy them on sale at half price but these were on the list that our son had looked at He is very impressed with them, not only comfortable but the sound quality is definitely superior to his previous set. Charge easily and have handy stand to keep on.

Nice head. Mic is rubbish and 8 hour battery
Got it at half price. Games and films sound great. The style and fit are also good. People tell me that it sounds like talking through a walkie-talkie but I don't mind as I don't hear it. Battery lasts around 8 hours which could have been better. The stand for the headphones is rubbish. Cheap plastic. Left it in the box.

Great Headset bought to replace my turtle beach and it was well worth it the only thing I would suggest is to use your own talk back cable as the one provided in the box will make your voice sound robotic on xbox live other then that it's a great headset.

I need a new headset for the YouTube channel I do with my son maxmus and Lexter and this were great even though they say Xbox one I use them on the ps having this version gives you both console options. Great sound great mic and nice to wear very happy

Amazing Astro A50's
I bought these after wanting some astros for years and so glad I did! The sound quality is incredible, they are extremely comfortable and the range on them is pretty impressive also. Couldn't recommend these highly enough!

Great headset! I use a HDMI switch with built in Optical Out to connect multiple devices to the headset so I can easily switch between them without unplugging any wires from the headset's base station

Too much bass
Nice headphones but just too much bass! 3 EQ settings but no customisable options. My Tritons where better and cheaper when both are full price.
