Cool little device
This is a very cool, connected device. The voice recognition is excellent and can provide a wealth of information from the internet. The sound quality is pretty good for a speaker of such a small footprint. It's still early days for functionality and I would expect more apps and connectivity to be delivered in the future. Main downside for me is that it doesn't have a 3.5mm input/aux so doesn't make a very good connected speaker.

Has a lot of potential
Currently using it as a glorified music playing (tunein, spotify etc) thingy. It gives news updates, weather and local traffic information in the morning. The reminder feature is working good But you have to use the right keywords. It is fantastic with understanding accents and recognises different voices for personal greetings. Saying 'Ok Google' is bit cumbersome before every instruction unlike 'Alexa' (the Amazon counterpart).

Has potential
Bought out of curiosity. Essentially just listening to music/radio at the moment and asking the odd question, getting news and weather each morning, useful for setting timers too. Sad it doesn't work as multiroom sound system with google chromecast (only chromecast audio) which I thought that it did. And a lot of the US features do not work in the UK. So as it stands, overpriced novelty - as time goes on it could be awesome.

Lived upto my expectations - Google Home
It is my first stand alone voice assistant and I am really happy that I have gone for google home, rather than home mini. Thumbs Up: # Loud enough to cover couple of rooms. # Sleek design and use-cases from google. # Easy to configure and operate. Plug and Play. Thumbs Down: # Dependency with other smart home products is not explicitly explained, other than bluetooth speaker. #GHome app better be more user friendly.

A home essential of you have home control tech
A great little product. Great sound quality for it's size with a full range and bass. It's touch controls are clean, simple and intuitive. However it's not really necessary unless you have home control technologies like Philips Hue lights as an example. Without this stuff, it's just a fancy speaker, alarm and search engine. It does take a while to familiar yourself with the commands it recognises properly. Bare this in mind!!

Be smart with smart speaker
Good refreshing features and technology stuns you. Google has done good job where speaker recognise your instructions with ease and responds pretty quickly. Satisfied with my purchase. But, more support for other applications and most importantly support for Bluetooth connectivity with other devices or speakers would have made it the no brainer best purchase as then user can play their own collection or recordings with ease.

Google Home makes things easier!
At first, I wasn't sure if I'd use this product much however, I'm really impressed. I continually find myself asking the Google Assistant facts, about the weather, to put certain programmes on Netflix, timers for cooking, alarms, add items to my shopping list etc. It is a really cool piece of tech and will only get better as Google keep updating it. A must-have for any home! I've already purchased a second for another room!

Are you ready
So decided to replace an aging DAB music system with one of these assuming it would be a painless substitution to continue playing radio for the dogs when out but not so fast. Can only play Spotify ( dogs prefer Smooth Radio) have had to buy a 4g router as current fixed broadband was not good enough and now shelled out for some smart bulbs and hub to link together. So in summary should have just bought a replacement DAB

1st Generation - limited usefullness
It seems no different than the "OK Google" I have on my phone, other than I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket. My phone can cast to Chromecast and play music... etc ... etc... I really don't see the point, unless you are too lazy to take your phone from your pocket, and the Google Home is within earshot. If you are playing loud music then Google Home can't hear you anyway. I would wait for something better.

Great product but holding out for more features
So, the main two options for home assistants are Alexa and Google Home. I went for the Google Home as it has more capability potential despite not having all the features of Alexa right now. It's easy to setup and use but there are niggles like a bug at the moment (which Google are looking into) where Spotify music stops randomly. I use the Google Home device in a small office with 4 staff and it works well so far.

Sounds great and looks good but!
Having previously purchased the Amazon product I thought this Google item would have similar functions. However what I did not appreciate it does not connect to my iPhone, iMac, iTunes and my bluetooth speaker. All functions I enjoyed with Amazon. Sadly I purchased 3 of these as gifts and i find mine quite useless all I us it for is radio so that a very expensive radio! I would not recommend to anyone! very disappointed

Superb sound!
To be honest I expected the google home to be a bit of a gimmick and bought it as our CD player (remember them?) had broken. The sound quality from such a small unit is superb and it allows multiple users to play digital radio and stream music as well as answering queries using google. It can also link to our nest system to control the central heating and link to calenadars to help organise your day. Highly recommend.

Not as good as I hoped
I chose Google Home based on reviews I’d read but I wish I’d bought the Amazon version. The biggest downside is that it requires a subscription to a music channel to play music. The voice is very computer like at times and can’t be changed. Another irritation is that you have to say ‘Hey google’ or ‘Ok google’ to activate it. On a positive note, it’s very quick to answer questions. It looks good too.

Great little gadget
Bought as a Christmas gift but this little device is such a clever invention, being able to ask it thousands of questions and getting accurate answers is definitely a step in the right direction for modern technology. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker which is handy and I have connected mine to my Spotify account so I can play any music whenever I like. The audio quality is fantastic for such a small device.

Google Home
Great device and much smaller than I anticipated looking at the box! Really intuitive answers and good sense of humour built in! Haven’t yet bought other devices to link in but planning to get lights and maybe heating linked in future. Sound quality is great from tiny device and fills room easily and have been listening to more music since it’s so easy to ask google to tune into radio stations or to stream music.

Better than Alexa ?
I own both so can compare, there are pro's and con's with both. Google home comes out on top for me with its superior sound quality and ease of use. When I say ease of use, I mean it's easier to talk to, it feels more natural and the responses are too. Alexa has more skills, but Google Home covers the important things such as smart home control. Overall, I think Google home wins and will only get better with time.

Really useful
I find the Google Home more and more useful every day, a very easy to setup without the problems the Amazon Echo has with the BT hub. I use it as an alarm clock, a radio for just about every kind of music I can think of and as an encyclopedia when I want to know something. I get travel and weather info before I leave home in the morning and what the cost of fuel is locally. I find more things to ask it every day.

Surprisingly clear and effective speaker
The Google Home is very easy to set up as you would expect with any Android phone or tablet. Once going it is very useful in the kitchen to read out recipes or set timers. Reminders from Google assistant etc are seamless and a nice extra. At time of writing this review it lacks some abilities that talking to your Google Assistant on your phone offer, such as sending messages via sms, whatsapp or accessing email.

Ok google
I’ve had this a week now. The sound is very clear, you don’t need it on full unless your really deaf. Design is good, especially as you can get different colours for base and top. Information is great. My grandchildren threw a lot of questions at it, some were very funny, she actually new some information that we didn’t expect. I can’t really think of a down side right now. Was very easy to set up.

My Google Home really makes my life easier.
With the sleek design and easy to use Google Home, I save a lot of time. It informs me if my day's diary while I have breakfast. When I get home it gives me recipies for my favourite food and tells me about the interesting programs on TV. Kids homework is now a breeze, it spells word, do maths and know history. I would recommend Google Home to anybody with every taste. It is the best product I have ever bought.

Excellent addition to my home
I wasn't sure about getting a voice controlled assistant but now I have one I couldn't be more pleased. It plays my music uploaded to Google Play Music (50,000 tunes for free) or from a free Spotify account on demand. It creates a shopping list so no more looking for paper and pen. And of course answers any questions you throw at it. Yes, sometimes you may have to repeat yourself. But all in all I am very pleased.

Much better sound quality than the Mini
Bought this to replace a Google Home Mini we have the Kitchen and Dining area as a main "entertainment" unit. Bass is much better and beats the Home Mini in sound quality. Too pricey for you? My recommendation is buy a Mini, see how you get on with Google Assistant, then if you find youre using it to play music alot, buy this one - I dont think youd need to invest in the Google Max when it comes out for £300+
