Easy to set up and works well with Spotify
I like this product, I purchased this to take on holiday to use as a speaker. Sadly it would not connect to the password protected hotel wifi, nor my personal hotspot wifi as it is unable to do this. I was rather dissapoiinted by this. Works well it's still tells me it's can't do stuff that it can etc but I guess as it's says we're both still learning . Shame about the password protected wifi issue. Other than that it is great. Beautifully packaged.

Play Value and Potential
What fun, easy to set up and then to talk to , the Google Home has lots of potential. You can search and do sums and add events to the calendar just by chatting, and with a subscription to Google Play Music, or several other services you can play tunes (even "OK Google play Radio 1"). It has lots of potential for home automation but currently without more smart stuff it's great fun and lots of play value, but not sure if it's worth the asking price.......

Ok Google...
Bought one for myself, one for my daughter and one for my mum. Link with a spotify or Google music account and say goodbye to your old cd collection as everything you want is just a sentence away. My daughter linked with her smart bulb and now controls it by voice. The sound quality on these speakers are great, enough to fill the room in a party or quiet enough just to relax to. I'd recommend one from 8 to 80, easy to use and you won't regret having one.

Google Home compared with Amazon Alexa
So far I find both gadgets very useful at forfilling their main functions ; that is to act as "Big Boy Toys Currently the Alexa looks a little better, it's audio is clearer and it can do many more things (sadly only via sub menus) The Google is much better at answering more complex questions, however; strangely the answers it gives are not as good as those given by "Okay Google" on my Android Smartphone. No doubt both Amazon & Google will get better.

Does what we want it to do
We weren't sure about buying this but we are glad we did. We didn't particularly want it to govern our lighting etc but day to day it is ideal for playing music, the radio (we can't get a decent signal in our living room but via Google Home this works brilliantly) and we also have problems accessing Netflix on our smart TV but with Google Home it transmits via our Chromecast without a problem. Also handy if you want to know any information from Google

Great idea but not quite there yet
This is a great concept but it's not quite as good as Alexa yet. There are a lot of things it cannot do yet. When connected to hive , it can only control light, not hot water and heating. It can't connect to my android TV to control it (volume etc) It's great for all the stupid questions my husband usually asks me and then Google's on his phone but for that alone it's not worth the money. It's has potential but is a bit gimmicky at the moment

Brilliant gadget for the home
I'm very impressed with Google Home and would highly recommend. It visually looks smart and has many features that make every day tasks easier, such as controlling my home heating using voice commands. When playing music the sound quality is excellent and it's easy to adjust the volume, music track or radio station just using my voice. I also enjoy the novelty features too, like checking the weather and news in the morning or even being told a joke!

Google home, get it NOW
A must for all gadget geeks. Search the net simply by asking a question and control your lights with your voice. If you have Android it's simple to link to your account, don't know about iOS. Great speaker for playing music and can cast to Chromecast with your voice. Ask it tell you a joke or play trivia games, set appointments and reminders, alarms, timers, and more. This will not replace using a proper search engine on a computer but it's a start.

Not worth
Very disappointed with this product. Most of the things it says I'm still learning. So it is not a matured product yet. Not connected to public transport Everytime you must say 'Okay google'., instead they would designed with only one word 'google'. Voice is not recognised outside the room where it is put. Overall didn't find it worth for that price. May be I would prefer to buy once it got enhanced features and becomes a matured product.

Quick installation and minimalist design
Me and wife moved into our first house, and this was the first thing we bought. Connected with Chromecast it’s the ideal way to add ambience with very little effort. The microphone works well, despite the humorous pronunciation errors, and once it’s found a song it provides a good playlist related to it. The app is slightly less user friendly, I had to google ‘how to...’ a few times. Overall it’s a great accompaniment to a living room.

Perfect device and sound is amazing!
Google Home is brilliant, perfect for live streaming the radio, controlling other devices like your lights, TV etc. Connectivity is so simple. It learns from you, can do like others, tell you your day, weather, and online search results. Love this product, have two in my house and you can link them up so music can play in two rooms and if you have a bigger house than me, then you can actually listen to two different music items on each device.

Excellent if you have a sight problem.
My aunt with poor sight loves the Google Home. I bought it instead of Alexa as it is easier to set up and its location software is much better. I do think that the sound is great when Google is on a wood surface. I too have one and was glad to find out that you can turn it off by just touching the center. Also you can turn the volume up and down with your finger on the top of the Google Home. I am seriously thinking of getting another....

Easy to set up and use
I mainly use my Google Home for playing music, setting reminders, my morning and being routine, and cooking. The instructions in the app direct you to install the Google Home app, and once you have it the interface is incredibly user friendly and straightforward. The speaker recognises a range of different versions of the same command. I took it home and my mum, who isn't very confident with technology, learned her way around it in half a day.

Great product and very easy to use.
Easy setup and usage. Using Home as an Android user and the whole experience is seemless. Subscribe to Play Music for plenty of stations and playlists choice along with albums from you favorite artists. Tells me about the day ahead and news and weather updates, set alarms and timers. Google home is still learning so sometimes you have to re word a sentence for it to understand. Needs installation of the Google home app for best results.

The smartest speaker
The Google Home has great sound quality with deep base. It's really good for playing music and is a lot louder than the Google Home Mini. With the Google Assistant itself, it's very smart and you can do pretty much anything with it like turning on lights, controlling your Chromecast TV, setting reminders and telling you the weather. Once you have one, you'll find that you won't be able to live without it. The Google Home is very useful.

Better than the Echo
My girlfriend and I each have an Amazon Echo Dot and straight out of the box the Google Home is better. Obviously the sound is better than the Dot, but everything else is better too. It's easier to set up, it recognizes our different voices and knows who's speaking to it, it just knew both our Spotify without us having to do anything, the set up with Phillips Hue Lights was more straight forward, the assistant is better and more useful.

Great bit of kit
I use the home on a daily basis in conjunction with a chromecast & Harmony hub. Being able to control my TV and Netflix with my voice is great! It is also useful for listening to music and the built in speaker is pretty good. It is more than loud enough and the sound quality is better than I expected, not audiophile level but impressive none the less for it's size. The unit itself is smaller than I anticipated and looks good. Recommended!

Almost Perfect For Elderly
Good product. Far better than the Amazon Alexa as more things to do... only issue I found with giving it to the elderly is when they pick it up they accidentally press the microphone mute button and hold it for long enough to keep factory resetting it... seems a bit of a design flaw. Also incredibly hard to setup for an old person and if you use your own personal mobile phone be careful not to allow it to transfer your phone's data to it.

My Google Home is everything I expected and more.
The Google Home is absolutely brilliant. I just love it. I decided on the Google Home instead of the Alexa because the sound quality was clearer, and it's a neat little thing so it wont look awful on display. I've used it to answer very difficult questions, to finish a crossword, and to play me songs that I suddenly remember. It's like having a clever friend with you in the room. It's one of the best things I've bought in ages.! Love It.

Smart home must have
I have found google home to be a great addition to my home. it works perfectly with my music and takes my reminders accurately with no problems. I found the Google assistant helpful and she takes the questions i ask her in the correct context and replies with what i have asked for. The unit itself blends in well with my decor and the sonud quality is very good. This is a must have if you are working towards making your home a smart home.

Meets all expectations!
This is my first Google Home Assistant product having used Amazon Dots previously. Sound quality from the Google Home is much richer, with better base and volume due to the bigger speakers (when compared to Dots). Voice and command recognition is as good as you might expect with Google technology in the background. Installing the device was relatively painless using the Android Home App. All in all, a worthwhile purchase.

Wonderful Gadget for the Home
I am very impressed with the Google Home and would highly recommend. It looks great and easily blends in with the room's decor - you can also buy a different colour base, if grey's not your colour. It already has many great features, with plenty more to come. When playing music the sound quality is great and I just love being able to adjust the volume, track or radio station just by using my voice. This product will only get better.

Ordered 2 of these
I wasn't sure if to get these or Amazon Echo. I am so happy I got these. The whole family love them, We have music streaming thoughout the house all day. If we are reading in an evening we love "Hey google set volume 1" "Hey google play mediation music" Next morning the kids set it back up to 8 and play their music. We have asked it loads of questions rather than getting our phones out and the news/weather bit is a lovely feature.
