I use this item weekly in public speaking. The gain and response are good. I purchased it to use with an existing EV belt pack, because a generic mic I purchased did not pick up well with it. This was an improvement. Recordings are pretty crisp. I don't care for the wind screen which is constantly falling off. It is annoying, to say the least.

Excellent vocal and tonal clarity, and more comfortable to wear than my previous model. I used a cheap alternative when my other microphone needed replaced, and immediately discovered that you get what you pay for.
