Dell UltraSharp 24...Great buy at B&H
I have owned an earlier model of the Dell 24 UltraSharp for several years now and it is providing excellent, reliable, service operating about 12 hours a day. I needed a second monitor and when I saw this deal from B&H I took advantage of their excellent price and fast delivery. I find the screen size to be excellent for desktop use, not too big to fit. Nice Monitor for the Money
I bought two of these to replace the two U2417H monitors that died when the shelf they were on collapsed. (Outch) I chose these because I was pleased with the performance of the previous monitors and because of the price. I do photo and video editing and I found that once the color, contrast and brightness were calibrated the 2417s were stable over long periods compared to my previous monitors. Excellent choice for an office monitor
This monitor is used to extend my primary desktop so I can put my Photoshop tools on it. For that use, there is nothing critical about having accurate color and brightness. However, I am surprised that by my using the color controls manually at the bottom of the monitor, I can make adjustments that make the colors close to what my professional calibrated monitor displays although I would not use it for viewing and making adjustments to my images.... Massive Improvement - Great for the Money
My application: Engineering, CAD, and programming. Little if any gaming. My old system only had DVI output, but I ordered DVI to HDMI cables and they worked great. The pictures are far better than the old monitors. Also I upgraded so that both monitors are identical. Old monitors were two different sizes and resolutions. Good choice for work
I was looking for monitor to use in photoshop, 3ds Max and games. I thought the best choice in terms of price-performance was the Dell u series and I realized that I made the right decision after buying the monitor. Pivot mode and matt display are one of the reasons I chose the monitor. It would be much nicer if the response time were lower. There is very little frame delay in fast games but it doesn't bother. In other applications the color palette and image quality are quite successful.

Great monitor for editing
I use this monitor on my desk for video editing - sometimes you need to be able to see things larger than the little boxes in editing software. It took a while to set up, and the black level is still not what I'd like, but my brain knows how to compensate. This is a great monitor for a great price!

Great Full HD panel - love the swivel
This is a great panel. I like how the borders/design is very sleek - I have two that I use side by side on my desk. I work from home a lot. I like being able to swivel one to be vertical when I am looking at spreadsheets.

Easy to Travel With
These are decent build quality and easy to travel with, which is what I use them for consistently. The way they assemble/disassemble and adjust their pan/tilt/roll is better than most other monitors at this price point.

Good monitor
Awesome monitor for coding. You can see more than 80 lines of code when you rotate it, depending on your font size settings. Makes working from home productive. Superb customer service.
