poor quality
I purchased my headphones late last year. Recently, the right side of the headphones has intermittently lost it's ability to cancel noise has an accompanying clicking noise. I'm very disappointed in the quality of these headphones. Of course, this is just past the very short 1-year warranty period. Bose charges far too much money for its products to have this level of quality. I was planning to order headphones for my wife, but neither I nor my wife will ever buy your products again. They are overpriced and of poor quality. Additionally, your warranty period is inexcusable.

Very comfortable, and work extremely well!
I'd been skeptical about the noise-canceling capabilities of headphones in general, but after trying these for all of one day, all I can say is WOW! Now I wish I'd taken the plunge some years ago. These really do help tamp down annoying background noise while presenting near-audiophile sound quality for music from my iPhone, or computer, or other source. The case that comes with the headphones clearly fits & protects them, and makes for a neat way to carry them when traveling. I'm really looking forward to my next flight so I can put these headphones to the true test!

Best I've tried so far!
I have a few sets of really nice phones/buds but needed something to dull the outside noise so I can work with light background music drowning out what seeps through normal over ear phones. These sound pretty good with the noise filter on, with it off it's a little muddy but still sounds fine. The noise canceling works pretty well but not bullet proof, it most definitely makes the intolerable, tolerable and beyond. Bottom line: totally satisfied with my purchase and if blocking unwanted noise is your priority (over audiophile sound quality) you won't be disappointed.

Very Comfortable
These have almost everything I look for in a pair of headphones. They are very comfortable and I can wear them for hours at a time, they sound great (though if you are looking for heavy bass look elsewhere) and they also have a thick breakaway cable which Older Bose headphones didn't have. They are very light so it is hard to say if they are very durable but so far I have yet to have an issue. The only flaw so far is you will always want to have a spare AAA battery with you because these headphones sound so much better with the noise canceling on rather than off.

Excellent (after one week)
So far I love these. I've read reviews that claim the QC25s are of poor construction comparer to their predecessors (the QC15). But after one week I have nothing but love for these. They pack well, they're very comfortable, and they cancel noise nicely without introducing any background hiss. I have no idea if there's any techological evidence to support the claim that these work especially well for Apple devices. So far I've used them only with Mac desktops and laptops and they've been great. If something goes wrong I'll certainly update my review.

Comfortable and Smooth Sound
I love how comfortable these headphones are, and the sound is very clear and crisp. I have been eyeing Bose QuietComfort headphones ever since I saw my boyfriend's about 8 years ago. His have lasted over 10 years so I expect these to do the same and find them to be well worth the price! I also love that in this version you can use them without the noise canceling for regular use. I find just the over the ear style blocks a lot of the noise, but the noise cancelling works seamlessly. Can't wait to use it on my 15 hour flight coming up next week!

Spectacular
Pricey? Yes. Noise Cancellation? Excellent. While you may hear some background noise without anything playing, once you turn on some audio, the background disappears. Other headphones you have to turn up the music even with noise cancellation on. The bandwidth and audio response is phenomenal. I used them on a flight and they were still comfortable after 4 hours. The JBL noise cancelling headphones that I bought my wife a few years back are now inadequate for her. Time for a second pair. Bottom line is that I am happy that I invested in them

A must buy item!
Incredibly impressed with the performance of these bose headphones, noise cancelling works outstandingly, padding is really comfortable over ears and not a problem to wear for a long haul flight. Very good quality feel in general. Sounds are crisp and perfect. Having almost fell for dr dre headphones these are absolutely on another level! AAA battery lasts a long time after a good month of daily use and still running fine. One problem the inline remote volume control doesn't work with Samsung S4. Though works fine for Apple.

Love These!
I had been thnking about noise cancelling headphones ever since a trip to Hawaii. I decided to splrge and bought these for my birthday gift to myself....a few days later I tested them on a flight home where my seat was about one foot from an engine...could hardly hear it!! Yea!! I will get a lot of use from these as I also plan to use them while mowing my lawn and snow blowing my driveway!! Best gift to myself EVER! The saleman at B&H was most helpful and showed me other less costly models but I'm glad I went with the best.

Left speaker died
Less than 100 hours of use, only when flying. Sounded great, reduced noise well, until the left speaker stopped working. Much is written about this failure online. Placing a small piece of paper between the speaker and plastic in front of it makes speaker work again. But the paper can move and may impact the sound. Seems like a design flaw in the speaker given there is no way I could have caused any damage. Wondering if they use the same speakers in their current models, so looking to other manufacturers for a replacement.

Not Happy With the QC25
Bought these to replace my QC15's that are getting long in the tooth but bulletproof. That said I had high expectations for the QC25's boy was I disappointed the right earpiece cut out the second time I used them a poor connection in the jack that plugs into the headphones caused intermittent connection problems any little movement would cause problems so they are being returned having had them less than a week. I hope the QC 35s are a better build I will hold on to my QC15s till the reviews are in on that model.

Not perfect -- but hugely helpful!
I'm a singer and songwriter and got these so I can listen to what I'm working on without outside distractions. WHile they aren't perfect -- human voices and music seem to partially mystify whatever software makes them work -- they do cancel out the loudest and most obnoxious sounds, and reduce the volume of voices and music (from the outside world) by half or more. If you value peace and quiet, just turning them on to cancel noise (while not listening to audio) is a welcome relief from a noisy world. :)

Noise cancelling makes everything rainbows
So pitcher the scene, your on the train, constant chatter, hum of the engines, annoying announcements every stop! Amirite! Well simply switch the noise cancelling of these headphones to on and your world will be full of bliss and happyness , stress free commuting, assuming you don’t miss your stop. In work, printers are going, people shuffling around, general ambiant distractions are plenty, simply switch the noise cancelling on and again you will be filled with calm and focus! I love them.

Absolutely Brilliant
I love Bose products and they have done it again with these headphones. The temptation is to go for cheap headphones expecting them to be as good as Bose, as they set the standard. Advice is to go with the best, otherwise you will regret it. I work in a busy office and as soon as I put these on and turn them on,it is quiet straight away, even before playing any music. I can now listen to music at a low volume without distraction, rather than with normal headphones you have to turn the volume up.

Possibly the best pair of headphones I ever bought
They come in a nifty semi hard pouch that makes me feel confident about their safety for traveling. They are incredibly comfortable. The sensation of turning on the noise canceling is quite spectacular, completely killing the basy sounds of the surrounding and significantly reducing the high tones. I wish they would be a little bit louder. Battery life is quite great, shame they don't have a auto off function. Sound quality is very good, neutral character. Simply the best headphones I ever had

Don't purchase if looking to block out talking
If you are looking to quieten an office environment these will block out background noise but will hardly dampen any voices at all and sometimes give a ringing in my ear. They are very comfortable but the sound quality is not much better than free Sony headphones that came with my Xperia phone. Lastly, all the functions work ONLY with Apple (i) products, so the controls on the cable will not function on Android devices. Overall I am very disappointed with this product for how much they cost.

BOSE high end quality headphones
These headphones are incredible sound quality and great value compared to the next model up, the Bluetooth version. You do have a cable to contend with, but the cable plugs into the ear phone set so you can change the cable easily if it breaks. The sound reduction feature is one of the best I have used. Removes most ambient background sound. However, it can eat through the AAA batteries. I spent a tenner on an AAA 45 minutes charger and batteries. Will save you a lot of money in the long run.

Sound piece of kit
I have just used the QC25 on an 8 hour trip and I must say, I am very impressed. The noise cancelling has be experienced to be believed. In fact, I kept turning it on and off just to remind myself how good they are! (much better than the Sennhesiers) The sound quality is also superb. Some reviews said the the bass is lacking, but I would disagree. I'm into R'n'B and love a good warm bass and the QC25 delivered every time. I also liked that the highs are nice and clear without being too harsh.

Gotta Spend the Dough
Wirecutter recommends these but they were so pricey I tried the budget recommendation Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. They were not comfortable. If you have a small head you might be able to use the ATH-ANC7B but they were not good for me and I returned them.The Bose are very comfortable and the sound quality is very good for this type of headphones. I wish there was something in-between $ and $ that were decent and comfortable but I couldn't find them.

Great Sound Quality
Most others I've had have been uncomfortable. These are really comfortable and fit nicely round you ears. There is a big L and R in each earpiece, making it easier to see what way to wear them. The sound quality is out of this world. Nice with lots of bass and very clear. The noise reduction feature is great as you can listen to them in the same room as the family and not hear any background noise,only what you are listening to. In fact they are so good, my daughter has now acquired them.

I love them, it sounds so good
They sound so good, the battery last loads! Just be careful of turning off the noise cancelling when taking the headphones off, otherwise you will be spending battery. They are very comfortable and they fit really good my head. The color is nice and you arent showing off a massive Bose sign that I wouldn't feel comfortable at all. This headphones has a wire, for some people can be a prob., but I find that if they didn't have a wire they will be very easy to steal. So I'm happy with the wire.

The bees knees
I bought these specifically for the noise cancelling. I work from home and often late at night, and have ended up with a party flat above me and new club nearby whose bass music was driving me to distraction. Honestly, with these I can't hear a thing. I don't even put music on, just the noise cancelling function. They're comfortable enough to wear for hours on end and you dont hear your heart beat in your ears. Truly worth the investment. Excellent for sleep if you can sleep on your back.

Excellent noise cancelling and sound quality
I bought these over the wireless equivalent as I wanted the sound quality and noise cancellation without getting battery life anxiety and worrying about wireless interference. Can be used without the cable if you want to simply block out noise without music. Can be used with the cable and no battery if your battery dies. They work fine but obviously no noise cancellation. Or use with the cable and battery for the full experience. Excellent sound quality and noise cancellation. Bargain.

Returned
I was very excited about this product, but the first one I got was broken (no sound from the right side). I googled and learnt it was a common thing about this headphone... I requested the replacement, and alas, it was broken in the same way as well. I am deflated and am intending to return this product. It is a shame, because I love its design and functions. So I recommend you know this in advance, and probably it is wise to include a longer-time warrenty when purchasing it. Good luck!
