Very useful accessory for iPad Pro
I really like being able to use the Pencil rather than the old fashioned large rubber tipped styluses. It is much more natural; I am able to write or draw with it easily. There are some flaws though in the design. The cap for the lightning connector pops off much too easily (I fear it will be lost) and the same goes for the adapter used for connecting to a USB cable. Also, when connecting to the USB cable there is no status light to show you how low its charge is or if it is charging.

A Reason To Buy An Ipad Pro
I bought an Ipad Pro just to be able to use this, and I have no regrets. Better that traditional styluses and great for drawing/coloring.

It's like having a paintbrush, pen and pencil on your finger
This pencil is so responsive and fluid i love it! I can create drawings with painted undertones and sketch to my hearts content with all of it digitally stored.

Best Stylus Available
I use a stylus for sketching, note-taking, texting, and emailing. The Apple Pencil fits my hand just like a wooden pencil. I would have liked it to have a tad larger diameter as I have big hands, but it is perfectly usable just as it is. I have tried many other stylii, but none of them are as spot-on right as is the Apple Pencil. The palm rejection technology simply works--every time, all the time. Other stylii not so much. Battery life is adequa... Show More

Great accessory, one of the best in its class.
PROS 1. Super precise with minimum lag, the best I've ever tried. 2. Pressure and tilt work very well (if app supports it. I tried it on Notes, Sketches II and ProCreate). 3. Decent battery life and very quick to recharge. 4. Feels well built. It is made of plastic, has a nice length and weight. 5. Comes with an replacement tip and charging adapter. 6. For some is a con but I like that I can charge it via the iPad itself (super quick and without ... Show More

Uncanny good
I draw. I really like the Pencil. It simulates sketching with a real pencil convincingly well. My only problem with this is that it is $100. That's alot of money for something my kids will likely loose. I still like it, though. My wife buys lots of shoes... I have a $100 pencil.

Amazing piece of technology
I bought an iPad pro basically because of this pencil and how well it works. I am a dedicated student and the way the iPad can tell whether or not your palm is on the screen or the pencil is touching the screen is remarkable and truly game-changing. I can write very fast with this and I am sure to use this all my time in college and into med school.

Must have accessory
The Apple Pencil is so much fun! This adds a lot to the iPad experience. Charge time is fast. It is intuitive, even for me.

Great complement to the iPad Pro
My wife uses this Apple Pencil for illustration and it's an amazing tool. I'm not an illustrator but I had a lot of fun using it too. It really empowers you to create great stuff on the tablet.

Wow
The Apple Pencil works amazingly well with the iPad Pro - I've tried a lot of pencil-like devices for the iPad but this has been the first that was an all-around enjoyable experience. There is no lag when you write - it feels comfortable and really takes the writing experience on the iPad to a new level.

Great Pencil! Too expensive!
I use my pencil on my iPad Pro. It's better than the others I've used, especially for detail.

Finally!!! Precision Control for iPad Creatives
It is about time that Apple finally produced a stylus...I mean Pencil! All jokes aside, with the Pencil, I have the ability to have precision control over my brush strokes and fine lines, where using my fingers previously did not allow. If you do any creative work, or simply like the idea of writing instead of typing and are looking to buying an iPad for the first time or ready to upgrade, I highly suggest the iPad Pro 9.7 combined with the Apple Pencil. It's a great evolutionary change within the iProduct world. You won't regret it!

lost cap in first week
seems unlike apple to release a great product with such a simple design flaw. Should have required a twist to remove cap. Cap is held on only by weak magnet. Be sure to buy some way to tether cap to pencil. Apple willing to sell me and thousands of others a new cap for $10. Actually only using like a stylus, should have just used one I have.

Another great Apple product.
As well as the Apple Pencil performed for writing, drawing proved another matter entirely. It was in sketching, and especially when drawing rapidly that the Pencil started lagging. I was shocked to find that the Pencil sometimes lagged even more than some of the best older iPad and third party stylus combinations I'd used!

finally a dedicated stylus
Bought to use with my new 9.7 pro that I replaced my original Air with. Great. I don't think it's superior to the microsoft stylus for use with the surface products, because it seems extra slippery against the screen to me, unlike the surface pen which has a bit more grip. But otherwise great! Also kind of clacks against the screen with rapid writing.

Apple does the stylus right!
The Apple Pencil probably won't be useful for everybody, but for artists like me who have wanted to be able to draw with ease on my iPad for a long time this is probably Apples best product to date! It works just like drawing on paper. If you do any kind of creative work on the iPad Pro (which is the only con. That you have to buy a whole new iPad in order to use it) you need to snap this up!! You won't regret it!

No tax & free shipping makes it the best deal anywhere!
Great product, of course. Available at many retailers for the same price, but only B&H offers no sales tax & free shipping! I use it with my new iPad Pro 9.7, and I LOVE it compared to other styluses with mushy tips. Great for taking notes, making detailed lines on drawings. Many apps support pressure-sensitive lines, which makes it look just like writing with a pen. Fonts even allow calligraphy! Note: I also bought a case that will store it securely! Don't want to lose it!

Perfect
Together with the iPad Pro this pen behaves like a thousand tools in one. Could not be more responsive. I forget I am working with an electronic pen and not brushes and pencils. A must have for professional artists.

Fabulous Drawing Too
After seeing the Apple videos showing the Apple Pencil in action, I was motivated enough to replace my iPad Air 2 with the new 9.7 iPad Pro since you need a Pro to use the Pencil. As soon as I received the Pencil, I installed the Adobe Procreate app on my new iPad Pro. I was blown away by the sensitive, versatility, and ease of use of the Pencil. it's comfortable to hold. The battery charge lasts a long time. It looks nice. I use if for sketches and paintings. It's like having a complete set of art tools!

very expensive pencil
I use the pencil mostly to mark PDF copies of music in ForScore on my iPad. It's very easy to use, and sits well in the hand. I've had only one instance of very slight palm smudging while writing with it.
