Great MacBook

I love my new MacBook Pro. I love the size of this computer and the speed is unmatched. Apple makes the best and easy to use computer in my opinion and I have not been disappointed with this computer.

Great Value

This is much faster than I expected. The storage is small, but I store everything on external SSDs anyway, so that is a non issue. Love the value and quality. I do wish it didnt need to have dongles for SD cards and usbs, but such is life.

B&H is fine; the 2017 MacBook Pro is a huge step backwards

I held on to my 2012 MacBook Pro for as long as I could, then bought this 2017 model at the dawn of 2020. The 2017 model weighs 1.5 lbs less than the 2012 model but it also lacks a CD/DVD drive, an Ethernet port (essential for me), an SD card reader, a MiniDisplay port for an external monitor, a MagSafe power connector, and USB A ports, not to mention having a horrible oft-malfunctioning keyboard with no key travel. To compensate for all this I h... Show Moreave had to purchase a bulky, heavy docking station with all the ports. I still have a lousy keyboard, no CD/DVD drive, and the 2017 model plus the docking station weighs much more and takes up much more space than the 2012 model. Why did Apple put me through all this? The difference between a 4.5 lb computer in my backpack and a 3.0 lb computer in my backpack would be negligible to me. Now I get much less functionality and much more bulk and weight.Show Less

excellent transaction

I was a bit wary at first since I've always purchased my Macs at the Apple store. Brand new machine in its original packaging with exactly the advertised specifications. Being a somewhat seasoned user, I do not need assistance setting up and the savings made it an excellent transaction. Highly recommended.

I had to give yall another 5 stars! B&H had an amazing deal. My boyfriend needed a new laptop since his was pretty out of date. With the great price tag, I was able to get him the laptop, Magic Mouse, and leather case for under $2000! The look on his face was worth it! Will def buy from here again!

My wife loves it!

HUGE, borderline hostile step backward

Where do I start? A+ for appearance. D for functionality for a professional photographer. 4 Thunderbolt ports. Thunderbolt/USBC is a terrible design if you move a computer at all. If you touch cord these cords at all, disks unmount and the charger comes loose. Your iPhone probably came with a USB 3 cord. Incompatible with this machine: you need an adapter. These are fast ports, and the charger cord goes on either side. Useless when things don't ... Show Morework Charger silently stops charging. You get a tone when the charger hooks up. Silence when it OFTEN comes loose. Wake up to a dead laptop a few times and you'll see the problem. Huge touchpad is a nightmare. I touch it all the time by accident, so the cursor gets weird. Multiple finger gestures suddenly don't work: Oh, my other palm is on the touch pad. Short throw keyboard. Another nightmare. A glancing touch enters a character. If you touch type, you'll be typooing errwors sll ther tinme. Major major annoyance. Touchbar. I want this because why? You can switch functionality to the old buttons, but the touchbar times out, so you have to touch it twice to get a function. If the computer is locked, the touchbar doesn't work. If you use your laptop as a music source, you might as well just go to the receiver and use the controls there because you have to wake up the macbook and unlock with either password or touch ID. Non-upgradeable storage. This is hostile. I bought 500 GB. Not enough. I kept EVERYTHING on my last macbook, with multiple backups. Now I can't keep my pro pictures AND my family pictures AND my music. Now pro pictures and family pictures are on multiple external drives. Inadequate storage. Solid state storage is EXPENSIVE. Lightroom uses an external drive...which unmounts unexpectedly (see above). Positives: It turns on. It's fast. The screen is bright. It's light and thin. Touch ID is VERY good. It's a Mac. I hate--HATE--Windows, but my next machine is going to have to be a PC. I just can't pay the Apple luxury tax for a machine that serves me so poorly.Show Less

Battery started exhausting pretty quickly after 6 months of

I have only had this computer for 6 months and I have been noticing glitches with the software - I even thought it was fake at first. I have also experienced issues with google docs on the Mac but never on a dell desktop. The computer delays to wake when it goes into sleep mode. The most recent issue is how quickly the battery is exhausting - I charged it full and with in a matter of a few hours it is on 15% which is very strange. I wouldn't trust these computers at all - make at purchase at an actual apple store to be safe.

Probably a refurbished set

Its only been 8 months and in the beginning when I used it, the screen would have random images flashed across the screen in a strip. It happens when I scroll or when I watch netflix. I told bhphotovideo and they insist that it is the software at fault and not hardware, so I cant exchange it. I called Apple and they dont know how to fix it. I recommend getting your laptop in Apply store itself and dont waste your money here. Im disappointed and I should have bought it from Apple.

first MacBook, great buy

I bought this MacBook for a photo editing class. I had a modest budget, so this MacBook Pro was perfect. It met all the requirements needed for the class at an affordable price. I have no complaints so far!

Great entry Level MacBook Pro

Got this entry level MacBook Pro for basic computer stuff and traveling and this MacBook has been great so far. No issues and has handled everything I need to do. Very well built and very easy to use and I am sure you will enjoy it.

Not happy at all

This is my second MBP. Previous model (2011) was much, much better in every sense, except for battery life. This computer is very poorly built. Keyboard already failing after 1 year of normal use. It is a very cheap product at a very expensive price. Whats the matter Apple?

No regrets

So Ill be honest, I was very skeptical at first when I saw the MacBook from this site. It was hundreds less than any other site I had seen. I feared the worse but after reading reviews I gave it a chance and I have no regrets! My MacBook was exactly as expected and I saved approximately $400 plus shipping. Bad quality machine

After loving my Macbook Pro 2012 I bought this. Its a terrible machine. Overheated from Day 1. I get ribbons of static on screen once every few months and 8 months into normal usage, one of the charging ports has stopped working. Im overseas right now in a country with no Apple store so unfortunately cant even return it. Rubbish purchase.

Great Computer
