Great addition
Already had an Echo Plus which has been linked to Hive so thought the echo spot would make a great bedside device. It looks really good and sound is good but maybe lacking in bass a little. Would recommend and already looking at next Echo for the kitchen

The equipment is brilliant, the price at Argos is slightly more than at Amazon but it was something I wanted on the day, so I paid the extra money for that privilege, but I think Argos should review the price going forward

Great itemand looks well
Love this item. I have the echo already but really like the screen for seeing the time and song lyrics! Can even watch Prime videos on it (although it is VERY tiny) but is nice to have the option.

My Echo Spot
I really like the echo spot as an alternative to an alarm clock. I can do so much more like turn on/off the lights + set an alarm radio instead of a buzzer see the news in video format as well as the local weather. I have bought 3 of the echo spots for the bedrooms and the Echo Show for downstairs. Well worth the extra money

Echo Spot takes top place among other Echo devices. The screen is bright and sharp and can be dimmed or turned off at night if required. The sound from the speaker is better than the dot, it's perfectly fine for music and great for audiobooks / news briefings. - Clear screen - Touch screen adds nice functionality - Option to turn camera off the entire time - Has night time clock mode

Great product
The screen in particular is an excellent feature. Very compact which is ideal. Also, the lyrics to music show on the screen, the news is available to watch, there are suggestions as to what you could ask when in idle so great for first time users. Fantastic.

Echo spot
I have only had my Echo dot for a week so it is early days yet. When you first use your dot the results can be disappointing. I am sure the more you use the dot the better the results will be. The way you phrase your question will determine the answer you get. Being able to link your phone to the dot is a real bonus. You will need to download the dot app to your phone to do this, This will give you access to all your music. The speaker quality is a real surprise for its size.

Excellent product
Easy to set up and seamlessly integrates into the existing set up at home. The screen, although quite small, is good enough to watch the news and sports updates on. Haven't tried video calling yet but I'm sure it won't be long.

Great piece of kit
The spot is a great piece of technical equipment, but as is designed mainly to use as a bedroom alarm clock, it is quite expensive. Setting an alarm is simple - just tell it when you want to get up - play any music you like, and get a weather report, all while lying in bed! If price is not an issue, get one - it’s the best bedside alarm clock you can buy!

Nice idea but no 24 hour clock display
This is a nice device. Does everything the other echos do and more. The display is not really much use for watching video on though. Also a bit creepy having a camera if you're using it as a bedside clock. This can be disabled though. My only real complaint is the lack of a 24 hour clock display. I've used this everywhere for years. Hopefully Amazon will sort this out soon,.

Amazon junkie
I am a Amazon Junkie. Echo spot is a NO. Looks great, but video is poor compared to Echo show. My main concern is poor response time. It can take 15 seconds to get a BBC video on. My Echo show can do that it 2 seconds. Big NO from me. It works, spent your money wisely. Buy a show.

Great things come in small packages
So I bought the new Alexa as soon as it came out as I love my other alexa and wanted one for the bedroom so this fitted the bill perfectly. It's compact but does everything that alexa can do but it also has the screen, which is great for flash new briefings. It is customisable with your own picture so it makes a nice bedside clock. Setting up a group means you can use it to play music in all rooms and you can contact other alexas in other rooms.
