The Echo dot has transformed our lounge
This was a Xmas present for my husband. We quickly discovered the music functions, games and plethora of knowledge. She tells us the news and the weather forecast and random bad jokes. Best of all with 2 smart plugs the lamps are controlled by Alex's, moreover this function is linked to our smartphones so we can turn the lamps on whilst at work for added security. I'm sure there's more to discover.

All round amazing device and the Argos service was fantastic too. Can’t fault either the Amazon Alexa or Argos service and coustomer service they are both amazing.

Very useful
Really pleased with the echo dot looks really good sat on the worktop in the kitchen, have found it very useful to use for playing the radio, reminders and timers but I’m sure as time goes on it will be used for many more things and doesn’t take up heaps of space.

Great introduction to smart speaker
Ordered online and though it was out of stock over Christmas it came in early, happy child.. Great introductory smart speaker or for a child or for a small bedroom as part of a group of amazon speakers in your house. Not exactly room filling sound but good for its size. Voice control is very good and Alexa mostly understands everything we ask her. Music wise these work best if you have a music subscription like Spotify. Otheise she will only play what’s saved on your phone.

Really easy to set up and work with the app. Should defiantly take caution if looking to use with Sonos as a bit temperamental. Otherwise great

Good solid product
Don't use to it's fullest extent at the moment more a new toy. I'm hoping it will be used more productivity in the future. Easy to set up and looks great. Having fun at present.

Absolutely amazing.
I got this for my partner for Chris she loves it and it’s great to have in the house. Its not only a smart speaker but for kids it plays games and you can program it to do lots of interesting and fun things to keep people entertained.

Echo Dot has a decent speaker.
The echo dot has a better speaker than I was expecting. Provided you can grasp what Alexa can and can't do, it's very useful, and quite entertaining at times.

It was a great gift for the sister in law
This was a really nice gift and is definitely being enjoyed, would avoid buying for technophobes as its a pain in the butt to set up music and other bits .

Amazing sound
Heard they were good but didn't expect them to be this good, amazing sound from such a small speaker system. Easy to set up and use, has lots of skills to enable, I like the burglar deterant which creates a busy environment and sounds like the house is alive with the normal day to day chores. Far too many pluses to write here. Get one, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Excellent buy
This was my first smarthome buy and I am very impressed. Be warned it is addictive I now have hive heating and Philips hue bulbs and bridge too. All of which can be operated by voice via my echo dot.

The New Echo Dot
They are great fun, the kids play with them asking Alexa to play games with them like the Harry Potter Quiz, Pointless , True or false to name but a few and she is a great alarm clock for them getting up for school too in fact the only downside I have with them is you can’t play different songs in different rooms unless you get a family plan music subscription with either Spotify or Amazon Misic unlimited which on top of amazon prime is a bit expensive.

Super gadget
I wasn't sure about getting one but looking at reviews decided to go for it. For a little speaker it certainly has a great sound. Sometimes there is trouble picking up on what you say or mishears (but guess pronunciation is key!)
