Smart purchase
I had a choice between this and google home mini. Had friends recommend this to me and I am pleased with the product. Works well with the philips smart bulb setup to save fumbling for light switch in dark. Kids love using it too

Alexa, my new best friend!
Never having a Alexa product before I can't compare between devices, but I love my echo. Bought as a gift for my birthday as I really wanted one, I figured I'd treat myself! She will give me reminders, plays my music, tells me some random fact when I say good morning to her, sets timers for my cooking and loads loads more!

Excellent step towards AI

Brilliant idea
This item was bought on thè advice of my son. It has dragged us into 21st century. As well as the question answering and playing music it also links in with lights and tv control.

Love it
We also bought the Echo and added this Dot to it upstairs. It let's you do the same things as the Echo. As we have both we can make announcement which is fun. Like dinner is ready. We also use it as an alarm and listen to music. Definetly recommend this product.

Much improved
I already have a Gen 1 Echo Dot and I am very pleased with it. this Gen 3 Dot is very much improved though I did not expect the improved sound as well as the improved audio pick up of the new unit. I am already well aware of the benefits this computer can bring and may possibly buy another one next year.
