I’ve bought the echo for a Christmas gift, before wrapping I decided to set it up, which was really straightforward on testing the Echo can I say when you ask Alexa a question how quickly you want to ask another and another the response and sound quality is superb, with Alexa connecting seamlessly to radio stations brilliant. I think Alexa is going to be a very popular name at Christmas and beyond in our household.

Great fun, gorgeously clear sound!!
This speaker is brilliant, Alexa voice control allows us to ask it anything, from random facts to jokes to playing our favourite music. The sound quality is perfectly crisp, and the one little speaker fills the room with sound. The Amazon Prime music collection is vast, can play almost all of the things that we ask for. Also.. we have a real laugh asking it things like 'who let is the dogs out?' getting very amusing responses!Can't wait to connect it to Hive and have lighting voice control too!

Technology is amazing
Relatively knew to the echo and still learning what it can do . So far all I can say is I’m amazed and learning new things every day , on the whole I am extremely pleased with my purchase

Works great and sounds excellent
Bought this for my kitchen. I have echo dots elsewhere in my house but those need an amplifier. This was a brilliant purchase and sounds excellent.

I love this gadget
I use this to control my hue lights and other compatible devices around the house. Great fun to use on its own but when it's integrated with a smart home system it rises to a whole new dimension. I use this in my bed room as it can play the radio, act as an alarm clock, get weather reports and much more. I also have a number of echo dots around my house to complete my system. I love it.

The amazon echo 2nd generation is an excellent purchase. The build quality and sound quality are perfect for any size of room. The ability to personalise the look is a welcome addition to this model. The setup process is very simple and quick.

Looks great, works great
Lovely looking unit and with interchangeable shells you can make it fit in any room. It is not the most straight forward thing to setup if you’ve never done it before but sorted it out eventually. You need to subscribe to Amazon to use all its features but it’s great fun even without this. Lots of fun and very useful too. I’d certainly recommend it to anyone thinking of buying.

Great once you have mastered the correct wording!
On a wim purchased Amazon Echo - already feel she is a member of the family! No, not really but great to set reminders for simple tasks in the house which sometimes you may forget. Brilliant for shopping lists as I tend to think I will remember everything needed or write it down and then loose the list. Still struggling with music playlist I ask her to play playlist 1 and she will play 7! I need to really think what I want her to do before I ask. Great item and still a lot to learn.

Naturally a technophobe
This is a great little product if you like gadgets, really easy to get started and set up and that's coming from someone who is not good with technology. Would recommend if you like gadgets and it's really useful for finding things out.

Absolutely love my echo
My amazon echo is fantastic sou d quality is fantastic and easy to set up..... Always listened to music channels but now the echo takes its place..... Easy to use the whole family use it even the dog..... This would make a fantastic Christmas present for ant body.... Would recommend this item 101%....

Echo - great little device
This is my first Amazon Echo and I am pleasantly surprised. The build quality is very good,feels strurdy and robust. It’s a little tricky to dry up initially if you have no prior experience. To use it to its full potential you will been to subscribe to Amazon but, that said, there’s lots of fun and enjoyment to be had at no additional cost. A great little device and o would urge anyone thinking about getting one to take the plunge, I’m sure you’ll be happy with your purchase.
