Alba On-Ear Headphones - Silver

Very Pleased with these Headphones.

I have bought these in the past & continue when need replacing (2 yrs use from last pair). They are lightweight, inexpensive & I choose these over similar ones because they have volume control button on line cord, so easy to adjust. I use these listening to a small compact radio in bed so noise control is good, I do not disturb my partner.

Simple head phones

I bought these for my 14 year old nephew for the computer. He has been taking mine and misplacing them. I used them on a trip and could hardly hear them, they barely fitted over my ears. They're simple and my nephew doesn't complain. I was gong to get the cheaper ones but they were sold out, this was my second choice. Worth the money.

Simple and basic

I had to go into hospital and I needed a cheap, simple and basic set of headphones. They were soft and comfortable to wear, which is what I needed when I was in pain. I wouldn't buy them for everyday use as the sound quality isn't great, plus others can hear your music on public transport, but it did the job I needed them to do.

Excellent product for the price!

I bought these headphones with the attitude that if they were no good at least I hadn't paid much for them. I was so pleasantly surprised as to how good they were but unfortunately my dog thought the same and ate them!!! I would have liked to replace them with another pair but it looks as though they are no longer stocked - shame.

Brilliant!!

I bought these for use on my ipod. I don't like those things that go in your ears as I find them uncomfortable, so I started looking for something smallbut most importantly cheap. I checked out about 7 pairs before deciding on these. The sound quality is very good, considering the price! Overall a 5* quality for 1* price!

Fine

All fine with the headphones. They are pretty large as over-head headphones go but as it's for a 4yr old, it actually works out pretty well to be more chunky. Not so good to be packed away small/neatly though. Not much else to say really... they look and sound like a pair of headphones this price but often, that's fine.

for a cheap set of headphones that i bought to take on holiday rather than my usual expensive ones, they were fine. have only used them a couple of time so cannot say if they will last long but, i have bought cheap sets in the past that have been so rubbish and went straight back. these, so far, seem worth the money.

Alba Lightweight Stereo Headphones

For this price these headphones are great. They are light, comfortable, 1st they have a Mono / stereo switch, Mono you don't need. 2. you have a volume wheel with no distortion with sound and that is full volume. Well done Argos. And that is from someone who is 50ish !!! P.S. No photo to download. I'm shy. !!! Tomo.

Nice cheap headphone

Wanted something not too costly for office use, these headphones are really handy and low in cost. They are a bit cheap when in hand because of the plastic band (With this price such thing is expected). Overall finding it useful and good. The sound quality is not bad at all. Very light weight and comfy to wear.

i recently purchased the Alba HSB2929 Lightweight Stereo Headphones to replace an old set of headphones that had broken. i would recommend them to anyone as the sound quality is brilliant and i used them both on my personal cd player and computer and as they are lightweight i tend to forget i'm wearing them

Value for Money

This is not the first time i have bought these ear plugs, the other ones literally fell apart - but through old age!! They are very comfortable if you have sensitive ears like me. I would definitely recommend to anyone, and the price is very good compared to other retailers. 10/10!!! Can't fault them at all

Disappointed

Bought 2 of these so that my grandchildren could play games and watch films on our tablets whilst travelling. They worked well when we tested them and then didn't on the plane. Really disappointed. We weren't expecting much for the price but did expect them to work for at least the return flight to Spain.

Brilliant product for the money

I can't really find a fault with these. They are light to wear and the sound is excellent. What a bargain for the price! There is only one minor problem in that if I wear them for hours on end (which isn't often) then I do feel a little sore around the ears. Other than that, I can highly recommend them.

Fine for the price

Needed a cheap pair quick, so that my 3 yr old could watch movies on tablet in car, they really do the job fine. Already had a pair from 3 yrs ago for my daughter and we've had no problems with them. Can't fault them for the price, the kids said they are great as they don't like in-ear head phones.

Great product for little cost

I reserved these for my Dad who is 77 to go with his iPod to use in hospital. He didn't want to pay lots and is delighted with them. He said the sound is good and they fit well. I think if you wanted to hear lots of bass then these aren't for you, but for child or older person , highly recommended

i recently bought these for my mum who was in hospital dont let the price put you of as they have excellent sound quality and i was pleased with them and didnt expect them to be so good as they were the cheapest ones in store so go ahead and try them for yourselves you will be pleasantly surprised

Not very loud

I bought these for my Mother who has Alzheimer's and music keeps her happy. Her hearing is deteriorating lately, she can hear with these providing nothing else is going on in the room. My iPhone headphones are far better but obviously no good for Mum. Won't be long before these will be useless.

Excellent value

I bought these basic headphones for my husband to listen to CDs in hospital. They are excellent, he is using them for music CDs, audio books and CDs of radio programmes and is very satisfied with the sound quality. I was a bit wary because of the price but I can certainly recommend them.

GOOD FOR AUDIO BOOKS

I only use these headsets for one purpose - listening to cd audio books - and they are perfect for that purpose. The sound quality is good enough and is in stereo and I have no complaints. However, they are probably not good enough for serious music listening. Great value for money.

Just right.

Bought 2 pairs of these for my boys to use with their tablets. They were really pleased with them. They now do not have to battle each other with the volume on their tablets. It's just raised voices to contend with now. Lol Fit nicely and are adjustable too. Well worth the money.

Cheap and cheerful headphones

These are perfect for those of us who cannot tolerate the earbud style earphones. They are comfy, sound quality if ok for gaming and tv but not so great for music. The only downside is that everyone else can hear some noises from them so you can’t listen to anything in secret!

Very light and comfortable

Nice light earphones to wear, seem a bit flimsy but are ok. Only criticism is because the part that goes on ear does nor cover the ear you pick a lot of background noise up, reasonably quiet most of the time in my house so not that much of a bother . Would buy them again

Cheapies

Used to be five pounds the worked their way up to eight pounds and now out of the catalogue. Quite good enough for speech. Have yet to find h'phones that don't have the wires break eventually so bought five pairs to last a few years. (They are used daily for several hours).

Does what it says

Very comfortable earphones. Having the volume control is a bonus. Sound quality is great as well. They are an all round good set that compare very favourably with more expensive ones. I did have the same ones before but my dog decided he wanted them for breakfast .....
