Excellent Lens
I did a comparison with the lens that came with my NEX-6 and I thought both are the same. However, I then had the original Sony lens when I went to my trip noticed that lens has a little bit of distortion issue, especially taking portrait shots. I have no such issue with this new lens.

A Zeiss or Sony??
Still pretty new but it seems to be a terrific lens. It is a little concerning that it includes both Zeiss and Sony logos so it is unclear if this is a Carl Zeiss lens which of course you pay a premium for. I certainly would be disappointed if it wasn't a full quality Zeiss lens!!

The missing link
This is just the lens I've been waiting for for my Nex7. It takes that camera to the next level in terms of usefulness for landscape photography. I would buy it just for the extended range over the kit lens, but when you throw in that it's better quality overall that clinches it.

Excellent walk aroud lens for my a6000
This lens produce very good images and it offer very good sharpness wide open. Its effective (35mm) focal length is 24-105mm on the APS-c sensor and does its job at those lengths with no questions. If I need to shoot in very low light I also carry my Vario-Tessar 24mm f1.8 OSS.

Nice size for my hands
I wanted a larger lens than the kit lens. I found it a bit awkward to use. This lens makes the camera easier to hold and keep steady. I also prefer the manual zoom. So far no optical issues with the one I received. I agree that it is a bit over priced, especially being f/4.

Sony nex7 lens
I purchased this lens to replace the original kit lens. This lens gave me a little more flexibility in the pictures I have been taking, as I walk the city and take cityscapes. The quality of the glass in this Ziss lens is all I expected . I'm very happy with the purchase.

Sunshade Issue
Have written a review on this lens before and gave it high marks. Did forget to mention that the sunshade does not have a positive lock, so the shade falls off the lens very easily... somewhat of a nuisance hence I've knock the score down a notch. Otherwise a great lens.

Absolutely beautiful!!!
This is the BEST lens ever! I have other lens, but this is the only lens from now on. Some of these pictures were taken on the fly on a bus tour. Absolutely beautiful! This is used lens that looked brand new. Treat yourself, spend the money...you won't be sorry.

Beautifully Crafted Lens
I've owned Canon cameras and lenses for most of my career. This is the first Sony Lens I've ever owned... I must say how surprised I am at how this Lens is every bit made and functional as any of the top Canon lenses I own! Highly recommend this one for sure!!

Simply Excellent
Used on my NEX 7. Great color tone. Smooth focusing. Slight parralax at 16 mm. Love the F4 speed. Build quality excellent. Focal length perfect for me. Most of all -very sharp. I did not have to do very much sharpening in PS - a real plus in workflow

Great Lens
Based on the reviews I was hesitant to purchase this lens, but Im so glad I did! It is quite sharp, focuses quickly, and is the perfect size for backpacking. Dont believe those negative reviews, I find this lens to be a great addition to my arsenal.

Well made lens
If you have a NEX or alpha emount camera and want to upgrade the kit lens, or bought a body and want a better lens this lens will fit the bill. It is well constructed and tact sharp. Distortion is minimal, specially compared to the kit lens

Great lens and service
Got the lens for Sony A6000. Already have two prime lenses. Gives me the flexibility when I am shooting outdoors without changing lenses. F4 is plenty wide enough for outdoor work. The lens was in excellent shape and was delivered on time.

Vast improvement
A vast improvement over the 'kit' lens on the NEX7. Sharper, a larger zoom range and a constant F4 all make for a wonderful package. I am impressed with the quality and speed of the Auto Focus. I wish they had offered this much sooner!

E 16-70 does not disappoint
I use the lens for travel and casual photography. Contrast resolution and colors are typical of other Zeiss lens I have and produce excellent images. Would be nice if the price were better, but you get what you pay for.

Excellent lens
There are many good reviews of this lens, my subjective impressions won't add much. It's an excellent piece of glass. The improvements over the basic kit lens are pretty obvious when you look closely. Worth the price.

Versatile lens for my a6300
So far my experience with this lens had been great. Quality images in a compact, versatile form factor consistent with the a6300's body. A bit pricey, but it's worth it as the lens I will be using 85% of the time.

Sharp with Losts of Contrast
I use this lens on my Nex 6. It feels very solid. Even the hood and lens cap are high quality. The fit and finish aree excellent. The lens balances very nicely on my Nex 6. This will be my prime walk arouind lens.

I love this lens
Great all in one lens, unless you want to photo birds and anything outside of the 70mm range. Great sharpness and color saturation. Fast auto zoom too. Make sure that you update the camera firmware for this lens.

Great Compliment to the a6300
I purchased this along with the a6300 and it does a great job at complimenting the body. I haven't tried out any other lenses, but from quite a bit of online research this is THE lens to pair with the a6300.

Great glass
I'm just getting started with this lens, but all is well thus far. I've used Zeiss lenses since 1953 when my dad bought a Contessa 35 with Zeiss Ikon glass so I've been partial for a long time.

Terrific, compact lens
My first test was at a conservatory and the photographs were outstanding. I shoot a lot at car shows and have been pleased with those results too. Has great bokeh when shooting hood ornaments.
