Game changer
I have been a Canon guy for over 39 years and always equated Sony products with tvs and game consoles. I owned a Sony alpha when it first came out because I wanted to try a mirrorless small camera and eventually stopped using it because the controls were not so ergonomics. I read and watched YouTube videos on the A7iii and decided to give it a try. I have not been disappointed. The camera is completely customizable so I create the ergonomics. I b... Show More

Best u can get for $2000... who cares about battery chargers
I would said this camera is miles ahead of competition, but to said it better, this camera is hundreds of dollars lower than competition. sensor size, features, evf that wont burn my eye on a daily basis, i can even frame and compose eclipses, a body customizable like no other, great menus (not sarcasm, always used sony, so its natural to me, with the customs buttons and fav menu, hardly go deep in the menu again, canon/nikon menus are worst, i h... Stunning video and picture quality
I've been shooting for more than 12 years with Nikon and Canon cameras and I gotta tell you that this camera is a must-have for videographers and photographers. What really shines about this camera is the build quality, and high ISO low noise capability, not to mention the continuous focus it has that most cameras can't achieve. Gone with those days of blinding people with lights when shooting video. The best part is the price and feature for you... Show More

Best Value for your money!
I own also a Sony a58 and a6000 and a7II. This a 7III is a big step up from the a7II. Image quality is nearly the same. But... 10fps with shutter and silent mode. Much faster menus and response. Superior Autofocus and batterie life. More robust lens mount and much better customizable for your needs. (things like my menu) For me its the best all in one camera ,specialy at this price point and when you compare it to other devices. ~2000$ is not r... Show More

Best Possible Value vs. ANY FF camera right now...
Note: I am a Sony Artisan which means I'm sponsored by Sony. I'm not an employee but they use me in a variety of ways to test new products, teach at workshops, give talks at trade shows, and work directly with camera stores by doing demos and training. That being said, I've been self-employed for the last 29 years as a full-time photographer. I have shot as pro with both Canon (23 years), and Nikon (7 years). Untouchable after 3.0 Update
The A7III really is the best all-around camera a person can buy today, and for years to come. Ive owned it for five months now and Ive used it nearly every day with the Sony 2.8 2470 GM. Many of the photos Ive taken have been for digital publications and print - some making it on the covers of magazines. Ive come back after all this time to write this review because with this 3.0 update that introduced Real-time Eye AF - words simply cannot descr... Show More

A camera for everyday use
I have a couple of Canon 5D IVs and lenses for work. I purchased the Sony a7 III and some prime lenses for my personal work and play. I've used the Sony at work for the last couple of weeks, shooting more than 3000 frames, so I can get comfortable with the system. On the assignments when I used both systems, I can't readily tell which camera shot which frame. The color and sharpness are virtually identical. I would feel very confident shooting wi... Show More

SO MUCH POWER IN ONE SMALL PACKAGE.
I recently just switched from Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras to this well built and very versatile camera. It feels incredibly good quality and weight second to nothing next to a full frame DSLR. It performs better than most of the competition out there and absolutely blew my expectations. The low light performance is incredible with very minimal grain at over 6000 ISO. I believe this is a fantastic camera for hybrid users like me who do both photo... Show More

Best Camera I Ever Owned
They say patience is a virtue and whoever "They" may be, are absolutely right!!! I waited a long time for a camera like this. When I started photography I wanted to save a few bucks and go with the lesser and try and make it work. After beating my head against a wall loosing great shots, I sold everything and waited. At first I was saving for the Sony A9 but that would set me back so far I would not be able to buy any good glass. When the Sony A7... Show More

flickering screen
I upgraded from a Nikon D700 as my main camera, plus a Sony alpha 6000 as my "pocket" camera, to the D700 plus a Sony a7m3, so I am not new to the Sony menu. I had ordered it with the Sony 24-105 mm, but since that never came in I bought a Sony f 2.8/90 mm, and a Sony/Zeiss f 1.8/55 mm. The camera is probably too much for me. There are endless options which can be customized into astronomical possibilities. I settled on simple stuff, ISO, exposur... Show More

My 1st E- experience
WOW Not often I take an expensive plunge in one shot , but B&H manages to take Sonys fair trade pricing and throw in a few extras. Hands down the cleanest low light images Ive ever experienced. Craving noiseless images since going Sony with the A 100 , this my 7th Sony body & the finally made me happy. The camera @$2K is well worth the price. Paying $2.2k for a lens, that by discription doesnt sound extraordinary, is a tough sell. But hanging the... Show More

Long-time Nikon SLR User Switches to Sony A7 III
I've been using Nikon SLR's and DSLR's since 1976. I photograph sports and theater performances as well as family, friends, and travel shots. Most recently I've been shooting with a Nikon 610 full-frame camera. Early reviews said that the $2000 Sony A7 III was not only as good as the Nikon cameras in the same price range but in many ways even better. The A7 III was compared to the $3000 Nikon models. For the money, the Sony A7 III is a great... Show More

Upgraded from Nikon
I purchased the A7iii to move to the next level with my photography. I had an entry-level Nikon D3300. I was not invested in too much glass and I liked the idea of moving to full frame photography. I was also impressed with the array of features offered on mirrorless camera systems. I decided between the Sony and Nikon z6. I felt that the z6 did not have enough higher-end features to justify the price. I like the dual memory card slots, the batte... Show More

Incredible Camera
I'm coming from a Canon 6D and the most obvious difference between the two is the autofocus system, which has been blowing my mind. Eye AF is magical, and the coverage of focus points across the frame really makes life much easier. I'm still learning how to use it all properly, but really enjoying it so far. A lot of people complain about the menu system (and I haven't used previous Sony cameras so I can't compare against those) but I don't ... Show More

"Camera Error. Turn power off and then on."
Let me start by saying I love this camera and the quality of images it produces. Now that that's out of the way, I've been one of the unlucky owners who have experienced the what appears to be becoming infamous "Camera Error. Turn power off and then on" shutter assembly breakdowns. I'm a very busy real estate photographer who shoots pretty much every day and this camera was everything I had hoped for when I purchased it on release day. The other ... Show More

Almost perfect for price point
This camera is phenomenal but it does have some quirks that keep it from being perfect. Most issues are ergonomics, for one, the menu button is on the left. I tend to hold the camera mostly in my right but have to always bring my left hand up to hit menu so I can go to the favorites menu. Also, the microphone input is butted up next to the camera strap. That port is going to break with a strap attached to the camera. As for functions inside th... Show More

Camera is amazing, lens is very disappointing
Theres nothing to say about this camera that hasnt already been said, its brilliant. However, i bought this with the Vario-Tessar FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens. DO not get this lens option. I initially thought that I would pass on this camera, until I started seeing pictures taken by it. In a word, the photo quality is outstanding. So far, I've been using a fotodiox adapter and my old Minolta Film (therefore full frame) lenses. I'll be adding an e-mount native lens soon.
