Upgraded from an a6000, DO NOT BUY
I wanted to like this camera, I really did. I purchased it and have only been able to take 5 pictures over the course of 2 days. My main problem with this camera lies within the software and hardware working together. There is a known problem with this specific model where the IBIS causes the camera to crash and render it unusable. I guess I had the case of it wont happen to me and this ended up biting me in the butt. The camera will turn on an... Show More

Best full-frame under 1000$
It have some negative moments. - no charger for battery - no long battery - not friendly menu - iso not so good as on A7III But it still great camera and gives a lot of opportunities to create

Is it not whay i expect it
I was really enthusiastic about this camera, and for being honest i hate it. I dont know if mine its wrong, but ISO which i was expecting to be awsome, it sucks. Too much noise after 800... something must be worng.

Amazing!
I have only ever used Sony cameras since I first purchased a digital camera in 2006 and have purchased a total of 6 models now, and as always I am blown away with how beautiful this camera is and the quality is phenomenal. I am a professional photographer and wanted to try out a mirrorless camera and the Sony a7II came highly recommend, and I agree with my fellow photographers, this is a great camera. I use natural light and this camera is a game changer! So happy with my purchase!

great camera for the price
for the price i paid (900) its a great starter full frame camera it has some issues (white balance can suck indoors sometimes) but for the price its a great camera and a good buy for someone wanting to go full frame without spending thousands of bucks doing so. the stabilization for video is perfect.

Just Not Quite Right For Me
I really wanted to like this camera, its the perfect all around size and construction feels great, there are just a few too many differences to my current DSLR that I know will only get more frustrating over time. My number one challenge is the viewfinder and the rear LCD display. The viewfinder is just such a different experience that does not suit me and considering I use the viewfinder 90% of the time its a problem. I also had an issue whereby... Show More

Down right amazing camera!
I was eyeing this camera for months and decided to finally pull the trigger once I saw it was on sale for the holidays. Ive had it for about two weeks now and I am absolutely in love! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to make the transition from a DSLR. You will not be disappointed.

Works Great with Legacy Glass
I bought this camera for use primarily as a digital back for my old Olympus OM manual focus lenses. Works extremely well, and focus peacking and magnification make manual focus very easy. Battery life is as limited as everyone says. Carry a spare!

No Brainer
I have shot Cannon forever, and I wanted to get a smaller mirrorless rig for travel. I kept dithering about the 6000 series and then this dropped in price and I snagged it. YEs, it is substantially bigger than the 6000 series, but it is still relatively small and you have a full frame sensor which lets you use all of the wide end of your lens, a major plus. It also has in-camera stabilization, which works really well, and a whole host of friendly... Show More

from Nikon to Sony, YES
Having shot only on Nikon for the past 5 years, I was hesitant to switch.... but the price on this mirrorless, full frame was not to be missed. And that is only the tip of the iceberg! This thing is light, sharp, fast, and really delivers. I have only had it a few weeks but Im blown away by the sharpness of the images, the light sensor is great - Ive done some indoor x-mas light pics to test and they are crystal clear and bright as anything. I pu... Show More

Its worth the money
For the price around $1000 its good choice if youre looking for full frame camera. The only thing which always upsets me - battery. Battery life is terrible low, in low temperature conditions it just a pain. I use it for street photography with manual lenses, so for now I dont feel that I should upgrade to a7 III, I dont need these newest AF features, IQ is same, maybe higher ISO performance, but no a7 II do everything well. I had just thoughts a... Show More

Sony A7ii
A little wonder full frame camera that does it all with features that rock. First things first Cons: People complain about its menu complexity which is ridiculous because it is no more difficult than any other complex electronic device. Took five minutes to figure out. People complain about its battery life and again all mirrorless cameras have weak batteries so easy resolution buy two extra. These are the only cons. Pros: I will name some of my ... Show More

Great gear and service!
I am thoroughly enjoying my new a7ii. I had originally planned for the a7iii but when I saw the sale price on the ii I decided to pull the trigger. It shipped the next day and I had it two days later. B&H does an awesome job getting their orders out, even during busy holiday times. Always happy with their services and selection of products in stock.

Walk-around friendly
Got this camera as a smaller everyday camera, with smaller files compared to my A99 ii (24mp vs 42mp). Its definitely smaller and lighter. Controls are all familiar. The back dial wheel (next to the exposure comp dial) is harder to operate compared to the bigger A99, and I turned the power off a couple of times trying to adjust the front dial. Large hands need to make allowance for less realestate for buttons on the body. I prefer the 4-way dial ... Show More

Love this camera
I am a Fuji and Sony camera lover. I have a ton of Canon L glass and use this camera with the Sigma MC11 adapter to get stunning photos. Granted the focus may not be as fast as the new Fuji cameras I have but I'm not shooting action shots. for the price you just cannot beat this camera and the kit lens.

Upgraded from the Sony A6000.
Love the Sony equipment, controls are very similar, but the 5 axis sabilzation is unbelievable. Using this camera mostly with the 28 -75 mm 2.8 Tamron an excellent combination. Very fast auto focus, pictures are clear and sharp. Have only used the camera for a couple of days. Will right more detailed review in a couple of weeks after a trip to the Ozarks in Missouri.

Sony A7 II
Huge switch for me. Really enjoy my new a7 II. Been playing with photography for over 40 years. Enjoy the new challenge. Such potential for me. The accessories that came with it are ok. The bag is too small for the camera with the FE 24-240 lens I bought with it.

Great images but...
I've owned this camera for 14 months. My previous camera was a Pentax K5. I am very satisfied with the images from the Sony. Absolutely no complaints. And there is a wide range of excellent lenses from both Sony and other companies for the camera. BUT, the ergonomics are terrible, especially compared to Pentax. The controls on the camera back are very sensitive and in nearly every shoot, I find that the settings have changed, because of an ac... Show More
