More money equals better quality
In my opinion, this is one of those parts that you need to pay more for. Yes the price is really ridiculous but the sound quality is much better than the cheap replacements that I have found. You have to take very good care of these and don't allow your subjects to mishandle this cables. It is very fragile! I decided over the years to just take better care of these cables and they go a long way.

Great lavalier from Sony!
I purchased this mic as a replacement for the original one my Sony wireless system came with. It works perfectly! I think the sound quality is really good too!

UWP series are perfect, but the cables...
I really enjoy Sony UWP microphones, great sound quality but all the parts are too sensible. Threat them right and take care when you carry and storage them, even doing this, sometime in a short period you will get a broken cable. This specific lapel is pretty fragile and expensive. The that connects the receiver to the camera is cheaper but also fragile.

Bad quality cable
Good sound, but the cable is delicate, it breaks easily in the terminal where the cable joins with the 3.5mm mini-plug connector, I had to buy several spare units. Actually great for the money. Far better than X7BMP. V1BMP is omnidirectional so beware of noisy surroundings.

Great replacement for my Sony Wireless mic packs
This mic is great. I film a ton of interview style video and the lav on my sony wireless mic went bad. This mic replaced it perfectly and is not outrageously priced as others are.

Buy the Drops and spill for this...
This is for a lapel mic/lav. The first thing to go is the connection right at the base of the wire and where the shielding come together. I would buy the protection plan B&H offers, since this will probably last you only a year.

Great Sony Lav Mic
Using with a Sony UTX-B2 UHF transmitter for wireless lav during interviews. Audio goes into either a Panasonic Lumix GH4 or a BlackMagic Production Camera 4K. Purchased this item separately as the original mic that came with my Sony wireless setup finally started giving me cable issues (static, pops, interference). It's OK, I rallied the original mic and I'm surprised it lasted so long.

Great Replacement
The mic attaches to the transmitter beltpack and has replaced the original wire. The thing you need to watch with this is getting the wire getting bent at the flex connection. This will cause static in the line. Which is why I replaced it.

Mi anterior Lavalier era el original (el que viene con los transmisores UWP) y este me ha dado mejor respuesta.El cable es ms grueso que el anterior, el clip y la esponja son superiores tambin en calidad.Llevo pocos das usandolo.

Works like new
Though these microphones are not the best available, they do work very well. I have two body packs and one of them began having several decibels of background noise and static on the high end. Process of elimination pointed to the mic. I replaced it with this mic and it works great. Also the clip and windscreen are also much bet than what came with the original.

seamless replacement for my Sony UWP
I am a pro video user. This was a seamless replacement for my lost UWP wireless lav. Still can't imagine where it went. Its the same mic. Small, the pic shows the included windscreen but it comes off as normal.

Always have an extra mic
Love my UWP V1 Sony kit. This is an extra mic with the screw in plug that works with that kit. If something is going to fail, it is probably the mic. This way you always have an extra that is not two days away by UPS. Great sound on these and much cheaper than 88s

Perfect
I use the Sony UWP wireless mic package for filming outdoors, hunting and fishing. After falling off the boat filming one day, the only thing I smoked was the mic on the wireless transmitter. Had a hard time thru Sony to find the right part number but no problem thru B&H. Hooked up to the transmitter just like it was meant to be, and works flawless.
