Works fine
I bought this to do some video editing while travelling. Like most laptops, mine only has 512 GB internally, so not enough for a full 4K project. This drive hooked up to the USB 3 connection worked just fine. I was able to edit without any noticeable lag. I didn't load the whole project, so I don't know what it would be like on a really complicated timeline, but for my purposes (long format interview) it was excellent.

Super Fast Drive

I am a fan.
I have been using these since the original T1 series which were expensive. Samsung knows their SSD and now the price is not even an issue. These and light and cost effective. What is not to love.

Compact, fast and reliable
This SSD is small and seems tough and well made. I bought this T5 for the express purpose of cloning my Mac OSX Mojave iMac 27 for part of my back-up plan with Time Machine plus a clone. For that purpose it works well. I run Time machine on a separate drive, and cloned my machine to the T5. 4 Stars, You Must Be Thinking WHY? Well, I'll Tell You Why!
Weird Shipping was Weird. It said it would come one day from ordering. Then they pushed it back two days later. But I digress I don't give something Five Stars unless it is Perfect and I just got this thing. I will update you later. But it is pretty fast besides the fact that my Xbox One S doesn't have USB-C and is only as fast as the USB 3.0 Type A port allows. Still will update you later if I can.

Excellent backup
I have six and they are great. One for each trip and a backup. Alaska, Ecuador and the Galapagos, and Africa. Cant afford to loose all those pixels!

Excellent accessory, particulalry for the 6K camera
Allows useful shooting times for high data rate camera settings, particularly for 6K cam. It is also useful for the 4K - we have both.

Mac Compatibility Issues
This device was taken on a recent shoot in Europe and worked well overall. I love the size for travel and even everyday use. Satisfied with the speed as well. Unfortunately I didn't realize there were compatibility issues with the current OS platforms for Mac products. After following an update for the device, I was no longer able to access my files. This thing rips
I'm able to edit 4k 30fps footage in premiere on my xps 13 at reasonable speed. I own 2 already, probably going to pick up a few more, these are amazing travel drives and in reality are even smaller than they appear in pictures and they weigh pretty much nothing, but also seem to have great build quality. Samsung witchcraft right there!

Cant really say much, its a fast ssd and its small and portable. Had issues with updating the firmware through the Samsung app but it wasnt necessary to use the drive.

Love the speed and portability - will purchase again
I am using this Samsung T5 to store my Photos and Lightroom Catalog. One issue - I had to research online and find the right instructions to format and make compatible for my MacBook Pro (2018). Now up and running - the external storage is fast, portable and perfect for a place to keep photo library. I will purchase again to replace other backups and storage drives, but would appreciate better instructions for formatting and set up from Samsung.

Perfect External Drive
Needed a nice big external drive for a trip and am sick of the slow external HDD drives. Is quite expensive but is worth it if you need usable speeds for work. Bonus is it comes with 2 cables, C to C and A to C, which is quite handy.
