Peavey PV-1 Headset for PV-1 Wireless Microphone Bodypack Systems

Not very durable.
I purchased this item because it is specific to my Peavey wireless microphone system. The headset is light and comfortable and has good quality sound for PA applications. Unfortunately there seems to be either an engineering flaw or poor materials issue with the wiring. I have had two headsets fail because the wire became attached from the microphone. Both under light usage. I would not recommend this microphone.

Very Fragile
I am now having to replace the recent replacement headset because the cable separated from the mic cartridge. This unit, while light, comfortable and good sound reproduction, is way to fragile for anything other than light duty usage. I would not recommend this unit for anything but temporary, light duty usage.

Great value for presenter
Good presenter microphone. Very light and easy to adjust. Distorts when pastor gets loud.

About What You Would Expect For The Price
This microphone is used for a few hours one day a week. The sound quality is excellent. If you are looking for a light weight boom mic you hardly know it is in place. It has an adjustment to fit all head sizes and feels comfortable over extended periods of time. I purchased this to replace the original Peavy mic with my wireless system. I am not satisfied that the original held up to normal use physically under light use conditions. I would recommend this to a friend with a warning that it is more delicate than other head mics I have used.
