B&H is the best place to buy gear!
I bought this camera to mainly film wildlife. Being able to record at 180 fps is amazing and allows me to capture great slowmo footage. The shipping was fast. I highly recommend buying gear from B&H as they are very reliable and have awesome customer service.

GH line is my mainstay. I will stay on this path.
What a fine piece of equipment. With update, a real work horse capable of any task I push its way.

The best camera I have ever used!
I love this camera, the quality is crisp and clear, the color is clean and organic. I am coming from shooting on the Canon 5D Mark III. I love the accurate focus peaking and zebras, as well as the swivel touchscreen as well as many other features. The 5D just doesn't cut close to a number of features this camera has. The handiness of all these little features allows me to work much faster and more effectively than any other camera I have used in ... Show More

Expectations surpassed
It improves in any single way all that I hated form the Gh4: color, rolling shutter, x2.3 crop sensor... and adds much more. This is a camera to have in your backpack always, even as a pro.

With great power comes great responsibility
I've been using the GH5 since the day it got released and its mostly been a positive experience. To give some context, I'm a Nikon user and have plenty of Nikon glass that I can use with the GH5. Most people know Nikon isn't very great in the video department (at the time of this writing) which is where this GH5 comes into play for me. I specifically bought this shoot 90% video and some photos when I travel since its small and lightweight. This c... Show More

Best In Class!
For years I've used Canon APS-C cameras and lenses. And, like a lot of people, I was holding out for Canon to do something to compete with the current wave of 4K capable hybrid cameras. I was also hoping to move up to a full frame camera, so the idea of going to a micro four thirds Panasonic system was hard to wrap my mind around. But now that I finally pulled the trigger, I am really happy I did. The combination of features, build quality, ease ... Show More

Panasonic reigns suprime in digital cinema
I used to be a Canon shooter, but I got frustrated with Canon not listening to the DSLR cinematographers like myself, and not spending more time enhancing the video capabilities of their cameras enough. So I decided to try Panasonic starting with the GH4. I was impressed with it and loved the images I was getting out of it, primarily when I shot footage to an external recorder. Now, having upgraded to the GH5, I can say with confidence that Panas... Show More

Good product, fast shipping. Thank you B&H
Great camera for 4k video. Auto focus isn't as good as Canon or Sony. Canon doesn't have a 4k camera in this price range or with as many features and the Sony overheats and has bad rolling shutter. This is a great 4k video camera.

Overall good camera poor but noisy indoor.
I have switched to GH5 from Sony FS5. Before i worked on Canon 5D Mark 3, Sony EX3, Canon C300, C300 MK2 and many other Sony DV cameras. I think GH5 is very good considering it's price. I am using it with Sigma 18-35 1.8 & Sigma 50-100 1.8 and Metabones Speedbooster Ultra; for a couple days i've had Panasonic 25mm F1.7 and i've been using it for photos. Overall i am happy with the camera performance for its price. I shoot mainly corporate videos ... Show More

Great companion camera for canon mark IV
I own a canon mark IV and I have to say I missed all the features of my old gh4. After trying out the Gh5, I am convinced Panasonic truely cares about their product and fans. The features rival modern cinema cameras. Metabones speedbooster is must have!

Amazing Camera - Hard to believe!
I have owned 19 Sony cameras in 21 years. This GH5 was the very first non-Sony camera I have owned in all this time. This GH5 is mind-blowing. It's 10bit 4:2:2 HDMI out is spectacular. It's 5k sensor readout produces FAR more 4k detail than the GH4. It's literally as detailed as Sony's A6300 in 30p. Yes,...it resolves THAT much detail. The new Firmware 2.0 is going to make this camera even more insane. 6k, full sensor anamorphic 4:3 recording?...... Show More

Panasonic Does It Again!
The GH5 brings the gorgeous color of the GH2 in the 4K realm. I liked the GH4 but it lacked the color I fell in love with with the GH2. And the improvements are not just in video mode. The stills are noticeably better.

I would buy this again!
I bought this to film a documentary on a video game. This camera basically thought of everything, although learning it is like a mini class in film school. Luckily, the automatic settings make is easy to use to get stunning cinematographic images. Small and light, perfect for travel and it seems pretty durable. Customization is a must, and you can swap settings between creators and switch back and fourth. I love this camera, and I am glad I waited this long to get into DSLR vid.

Best Value camera for video and film making - period!
GH5 - with all the little complaints out there on the web (Auto focus - though I am using it with a Ronin M with no issues), this is an amazing camera for shooting video. I bought two and plan to buy the new Aueva1 when ready. The look is incredible, even at standard HD. Versatility is off the charts. Add a Ninja Inferno, stabilized lenses and a Ronin M, and you are shooting Hollywood shots. Just a wonderful camera. We all need to look back a few years in the past at the technology available then and recognize how fortunate we are to have access to such great products today!

Great camera
Love the GH5. The only area I wish it was better (just like everyone else) is low light shooting. My favorite feature is the infinite recording option. Also love that you can record 120 FPS with variable frame rate. Very happy with my purchase.

The GH5 Rocks!
I'm a videographer. This is absolutely the best camera I've ever owned. It's packed with useful features and produces a great (the best!) quality footage availalbe at this level of camera.

I would definitely buy this product again.
A real step up from my GH4 (which I love) and so much more image saturation. GREAT stabilization, love the new sound option. The only disappointment is the auto-focus, but I did buy a great on-camera monitor which has helped.

Pure Genius
I'm a professional who owns and uses everything from Red, Arri, BlackMagic and Canon---and I seriously love this camera. There is nothing in this price range that has this feature set and quality. Panasonic hit this one out of the park. There are so many features--it will blow your mind. Many of the features you would only find on more expensive professional cameras. For pro cinematographers looking buy this camera--buy the Metabones Speedbooster to utilize your Full Frame lenses.

A good camera but not for my needs.
Its a good camera but for my needs the Sony alpha 9 is a much better choice. After several months of trying to fit my needs to this camera, I gave up and sold it.

The Legend Is Back, And Better Than Ever!
The GH5 is the stuff of legend. This feature packed camera is capable for both stills and video. The rugged build quality and mostly good ergonomic make this body inspire confidence, regardless of where you may be. The GH5 is a professional tool, priced at a prosumer level. While lowlight is not perfect in movie mode, it is better than most dedicated Cinema cameras. Battery life is good. The back flip out screen is handy for taking creative shots... Show More
