A must have for lav mic.

This is handy for keeping the tension off a mic cable that sticks directly out. This will make your mic last longer

Great Right Angle connector

Dec 19, 2016

Great when you need a right angle connection. I use it to get a full view of my video cam monitor when my headset is plugged in. Good to have in the camera bag.

Good for Strobist use

Jan 11, 2016

Really good QC on these. I've tried other brands and some are tight, some are loose. These are all solid. I use these for connecting PocketWizards to universal hot shoe adapters through a coiled cord, and they work great for this.

Just What I Was Looking For!

This is the perfect solution for those connecting a microphone to an audio recorder that is placed in someone's pocket! The 90 degree is the perfect attachment.

great audio tool for DSLR

Aug 15, 2014

As strange as it might sound (pun intended), this is a great little device for audio when using a DSLR, particularly a Canon 5D. If you plug a recorder, like the Zoom or a mixer, into the 5D, the plugs may hit your follow-focus. This device eliminates that problem. I love it.

I've been using Hosa cables for the past 5 or so years and so far haven't had any problems with any of them.

Solid Adapter

Hosa Technology makes handy adapters that work. They are not the most rugged or best quality but are good value. This right angle adapter works great to eliminate cable strain from side mounted sockets.

just what I was looking for

May 1, 2012

this was hard to find, and I was surprised that I got it at B&H. As low-profile as you could ask for. If you've got to get a 3.5mmTRS connector into a tight spot, this is your solution.

Works as advertised

Nothing special but does the job. Regardless of your usage, right angle plugs reduce stress on direct-board soldered jacks which are in almost every compact piece of audio/video electronics.

Doesn't work with TRRS miniplug

Mar 5, 2012

I have a pair of Ultimate Ears IEMs with a button for doing stuff with a cellphone. With this adapter: Without pressing the button, the sound is basically center cancelled. When I press the button the sound is normal. If your plug has 2 rings (TRRS) then I wouldn't buy this adapter. Should work fine for everything else.

Great to turn off sync with an Alien Bee

Oct 3, 2011

I bought two of these to plug into the sync jack on the back of my Alien Bee 800s. This turned the sync capability off, so the lights did not fire when other flashed were used. This is a small but amazing step forward, as I kept shooting weddings and all the guests would keep triggering my ABs. These little things just plug in and angle up so they are out of the way and you don't have a dangling cord in the way.

Perfect

Sep 2, 2011

This is perfect for putting on my Little H1 zoom with a mic and slipping it into the grooms pocket. The mic connector isn't sticking out sideways any longer. Also easier to tape down.

Works like a charm

This product helps connect my Tram 50 mic to my Zoom H1 - keeps the wire from sticking up so everything is more flush.

Simple, solid, useful adapter

Apr 11, 2011

This adapter is very handy for reducing wear and tear on audio cables. I use it one a laptop that has a audio output on the side - my headphone connector is straight, so it used to stick out where I would accidentally bump it; now the cable is nicely out of the way. This adapter seems sturdy and it even has some nice little grips on the side. Very much worth the price to help keep my headphone connector in good shape.

A Little Piece Of Insurance

This product is a cable and headphone saver, if your cable plugs arent angled. These can preserve very expensive gear.

Does the job well.

Sep 3, 2009

I've had straight-on headphone plugs break, and this right-angle adapter alleviates most of the worries. It seems to be very well made, and grips the offending straight plugs tightly. No wobble - good connection -just right.

Works like it is supposed to!

Jun 25, 2009

This is a great addition for headphone field use. I use it with my Sennheiser headphones so that I when I plug the headphones into my camera they do not put pressure on the camera and break the headphone output.

Protects my XHA1 Canon from damage: A++

Apr 5, 2009

How I use the product: I use this product with a Canon XHA1 HDV video camera. Things that are great about this product: The L-shaped angled adapter protects the headphone input from damage. Without the adapter, the normal headphone input, and plug, can be easy to damage. I would prefer to spend a few bucks on this adapter, and not risk causing damage to my headphones and/or headphone input. :)
