Wonderful Headphones for the Price
I use the headphones for production and post sound mixing for film and casual listening, and I'm extremely impressed by these headphones. I was already a fan of Tascam, so I had high hopes, and the price tag worked perfectly for me, though I knew I may need to sacrifice on sound quality. I was blown away by the quality when I received them. Others have said the bass can muddy out the mids and highs, but I thought there was a good mix out of the b... Show More

Good sound for the price
First set was defective. BH replaced them and the second are fine. They sound pretty nice for the price, and I am a pretty picky person. They are cheap enough that you won't be heartbroken if they get left somewhere, or broken, but sound good enough to enjoy the music. They definitely have that low end made in china feel to them, but the sound quality is leaps and bounds above their price point and they do feel pretty durable overall. The headban... Show More

Nice set of headphones
Ive been using these headphones for a couple weeks now, and I love the sound quality! I mainly got them to listen to audiobook recordings but I also plugged them into my digital piano and the sound was clear and beautiful. I dont think I have a large head, probably average but I have big hair and it can fit over my hair just fine without feeling like its being stretched like other headphones. I find them comfy. It doesnt seem like my ears get HOT... Show More

the reviews were too complimentary of the sound
The bass response is very good....which probably explains all the great reviews...but there was loss of definition in mid and high range. I have two other brand name headphones of approximately the same price, and though these have more bass, the overall sound is not as good. I went from headphone to headphone a dozen times on the same recording of our choral group to make my decision. They are more comfortable because the thick padding doesn't p... Show More

Surprisingly solid headphones!
For the low price you pay for these, you get alot of sound. The main strength is the solid, loud bass, slightly muddy, but very good. Mids are just slightly veiled but are good overall. A slight eq adjustment will help this. The highs are very good, not harsh or essy. The build quality is solid & it reminds me of the Sony MDR 7506 style. The pads are the same size & I put a set of velours on these which increased the comfort level. I'd give this set a rating of 7.5/10. Good headphones that are worth the price. I enjoy using them.

Great headphones, would recommend to a friend!
They are comfortable on my ears and don't cause soreness with long use. I bought these because for part of my day I work in a crowded room and want to be able to get into the zone with my work. The headphones don't leak any sound, which was a must, and i'm still can hear my coworkers if they are trying to get my attention. They were everything I was looking for in a pair of headphones and came at a really good price! I'm not an audiophile, but I think the sound is great.

Works for me!
There may be better phones out there, but these were an improvement over what I was using. Good bass and upper end with balanced midrange. Can't speak for others but they are comfortable and don't hurt my ears after long sessions. My only regret is that I didn't buy them sooner! Cord is plenty long enough for monitoring and mixing at my recorder which is also a Tascam unit. If I needed another set, I'd reorder. Thanks for the quick shipping.

Love the quality!
I use these headphones to edit video content on a Mac book. They work great! The fabric is comfortable. The cups aren't too small or large. The material doesn't trap heat and cause my ears to sweat as other materials have like on my Sony mixing headphones have. They don't fold up like the Sony headphones do, but overall they were a great price for a great product. And B&H had free shipping too! That was super nice. Arrived secure and fast.

comfy fit, great low end
I got these because of the price and not planning to use for crucial mixing. I use them for V Drums and they sound amazing. First off, the ear cups go all the way over my ears and very cushioned and comfy. I read in another review about the bass response and these do have a great low end. That is also why I purchased them to hear the kick better. They blow away my cheap Sony's and absolutely look forward to putting these on.

5 Star Good!
Use them mainly on my treadmill. A good deal better then my last pair That began with the letter B. Cant talk about the techie stuff, just know that these feel good on the head and the sound is just fine. Play them at full volume with no problems. Very helpful to get through a full hour, six times a week. Now have a drawer full of ear buds and old headsets. Anybody interested?

Just great
I really don't know why people don't review/buy these headphones, but to all those who trust the brand TASCAM should know they won't be disappointed. It's a pair of great mixing headphones, and that's what I use them for, mixing through a field mixer, into a Tascam DR-60D. They work marvelous together. I just wish it had a way to fold itself closed, but that's the least.

Great for the price
Good flattish response with both deep bass and high treble, very good isolation, and a 10 cable allowing moving around in the studio. The only real drawbacks for mixing is that the cans cant be flipped in more than one direction, and that the cable isnt user replaceable, but these outperform headphones many times the price.

Best Quality and Good Headphone for the Price
I never have a Tascam headphone before, I took the chance to purchase this headphone on a DealZone. Its great from the look, comfortable fit around my ears (not pressing my ears like other small earpiece headphone) sound is nice on the bass and not overly on high note. I think the Tascam TH-MX2 is best for its class.

Professional quality.
I was a little leary of purchasing a headphone set that was so reasonably priced because I wasn't sure the sound quality would be there. These headphones exceeded my expectations. They are very comfortable, silence the outside noise great and the quality or audio is superb. Thank you for such a great product.

Good cans
I have several pairs of headphones. These sound the best of all of mine. I have no complaints. They are over the ear, so you have to expect they will make your ears warm. Comes with the territory. Good response from bass to highs. Good construction. I would agree they are good enough to do rough mixes with.

Good enough.
For field video production and catching on-screen reads, these work perfect for me. They block out most of the exterior noise and let you listen to what your mic is grabbing. For advanced studio work, maybe you want to get something higher end, but very happy with this purchase.

Easy-Peasy
As an audiobook narrator and producer, I needed some good headphones for recording and editing. These Tascam headphones were in use within minutes of taking them out of the box. Good sound. Maybe I should say, great sound for the price! I love the screw on adapter.

Decent for a throw in
I was looking for a semi-decent pair of cans for the little bit of mixing and recording that I do. Threw it in with my purchase of the US-144MKII interface and I was pleasantly surprised. Very sturdy, well built, good noise cancellation, and has a long cable!

I have 20 sets of cans ranging from $ to $ mostly in the $ & up these cans rate in the highest. I have 7 sets these are used the most. Sadly to say I wish these cans were around before I spent $ on the others.Try them out save money buy lots of them.

Good value but bass heavy
Great value as a B&H daily special. Reasonably comfortable as well but..,bass heavy and lacks clarity in the midrange. I prefer my Sennheiser HD-280s by far for monitoring. No complaints for the price though, these cost only 1/5 as much as my 280s

Fantastic sound
This headset has excellent audio and very solid construction for a reasonable price. One drawback: although initially quite comfortable, the earcup pressure can feel a bit much for long sessions, especially for those with large craniums...

Happy Listener. Very Pleased
The Tascam Headphones I purchased are fulfilling my needs. Listening to the radio music station or computer YouTube etc. with the headphones has meant I do not have to disturb my neighbors, whatever the hour which gives me peace of mind.

So comfortable
Yes you can 100% buy more expensive headphones, but these are excellent for my needs and they are a bit base heavy, but I have zero complaints about over all audio quality and use them for working on audio when I am editing video.

Good value
Surprisingly good for the price. Decent sound, very comfortable and I like that they come with a pouch. I don't know if I would use them for critical mixing work, but they are good for tracking and casual listening.
