Many improvements but also a couple drawbacks
Compared to the original DJI Mavic Pro, the Zoom 2 has many improvements: too many to name here. Nice 10bit colors, nasty lens distortion.....
Really nice drone if shooting in just NORMAL Mode, if you want to use 10bit color space there is fish-eye lens distortion at some angles, so you need to fix that in post as DJI stated on forum that there is not enough power to do so onboard drone. So far there is no lens correction profile provided by DJI. I hope they will fix that in future.

Good camera upgrade, but...
For my purposes, I was mostly ok with Mavic 1 as a flying machine. The biggest thing that bothered me about it was the camera with its fixed aperture and all the artifacts and other problems that were contained in the video footage. A Huge Step Forward
This has so many more features than my 4 year old go to unit that one doesn't know where to begin. In flight it's very stable and noticeably quieter than my previous drone. The 4K video files are just superb as are the stills. I'm finding the various flight modes to work as they should. that's about if for now.

great for aerial video
Got the Zoom which does optical zoom. More features like Dolly-zoom, ActiveTrack 2.0 and OcuSync 2 for high-def remote viewing. Well made and quieter then Mavic 1.

Big step up from the Mavic Pro
I've had a Mavic Pro for almost two years and have been waiting for a better camera on a drone that's so each to transport. I'm very happy with the new camera, especially it's low-light performance. The only drawback is the camera can't be rotated to make portrait oriented images.

Hard to imagine how DJI could have bettered the original Mavic Pro which is an astonishing machine, but they have. The best for the price point!
Fantastic drone. Quiet, fast, and portable. The image is sharp. The colors are good, but a little on the blue side. The controls are surberb. It handles like a Porsche in the sky. Battery life is great and the price is perfect. Thank you dji! Thank you bh!

Better than I expected
I got my Mavic 2 Pro yesterday and have just played with it briefly. But my very good experience started with unpacking it. The build quality of of the Mavic 2 Pro is fantastic. Its slightly larger than the original Mavic, but I think that adds to the positive feeling. It just feels very very good in your hand. Rock Steady Video!!
I've been flying drones of all types for several years now. My main one was a DJI Vision 2+ which served me very well until people were asking for 4K video.
