Let me clear something up about how to connect these headphones. First, there is a little headphone jack on the side panel of every TV. Connect the headphones' included cable to the base / stand and the other end to the headphone jack on the side or end panel of your TV. Nothing to fiddle with, it just works. BUT - doing this cuts off the sound from the TV speakers. So, if you don't need to have the TV speakers playing at the same time as the headphones then this is a good, easy way to use the headphones. Another way to connect the headphones is to plug the included cable into the Auxiliary-out jacks on the rear panel of your TV. Every TV has these stereo sound jacks; they are usually colored red and white (red is right channel and white is for left channel). Connecting this way does NOT cut off the sound from the TV speakers, so you can have headphones and speakers playing at the same time. Also, you can control the headphones volume separate from the TV speakers. This is the most convenient way for most people. The tuning knob on one side of the headphones is like the tuning wheel on an oldtime pocket radio. You rotate the knob through static noise just like tuning between stations on an FM radio until you reach the TV sound, or music, or whatever. Now, you leave it tuned in right there. BUT, the volume knob is right above the tuning knob so be careful which one you're using. I moved the wrong knob a couple of times and got the static noise, but quickly rotated it back to the clear sound. After that, I'm always careful to rotate only the volume knob. It just takes a little practice, no big deal. The headphones are not heavy and most people will find that they sit comfortably on your ears. The headband is adjustable so you can make them fit just right. BUT, if you lean over to tie your shoes or open a low cupboard, be careful not to let the headphones slide off of your head! The headphones sound very good indeed. From low-pitch bass notes right up to high-pitch treble you will hear plenty of clear detail. This is great for TV and movie dialog. You can hear the voices clearly, much better than any TV speakers or soundbar. We listen to a lot of music, too, and the sound is very enjoyable whether we play rock or classical music. We run two headsets from one base unit, no problem. If I remember correctly, you could actually connect several more headsets all at once, but two is all we've tried and that works great. We have a base unit with each headset which is most convenient for charging both headsets at once. Only one base needs to be connected to your TV. There are better sounding headphones available, but they will cost two hundred dollars or more, so these RS-135 headphones are very good value as well as very good quality. ... More

The technology is perfect in one TV I plug it in the mini headphone speakers to be connected. On my other TV I could use the RCA Audio out Red and White. On both cases the sound is perfect and I can use the volume control of the headphone without disturbing my family. The headphone re-charger is perfect. But the headphone itself is a problem: Of course it is on your head all the evening, but it does not fit my head. It is far too large and I have to readjust it on my ears all the time. Then when I put my head comfortably against my armchair pillow, the Tune controller which is in the back (unfortunately) of the headphone is in contact with the pillow and the friction change immediately the tune... So you have to stay with the head straight and high all the time. Why they did not put the 2 knobs controlling the tune and the volume in front rather than in the back? For me It a mistake, and this huge headphone is inconfortable and should be redesigned. First it should fit all heads big or small and second we should be able to lay our head down on the pillow without loosing the frequency of the TV. ... More

I have been having trouble watching movies and listening to the words in movies on my smart tv's for a while. Years ago I tried a sound bar but I still had troubles. Now I was getting perturbed with these flat tvs with lousy speakers. Whenever I streamed a Netflix or Showbox movie, the background music overwhelmed the words. At the same time I didn't want to spend a lot for something I was not sure would cure the problem. After doing much research, I spoke to the audio mavens at B and H, and they convinced me that this Sennheiser system would do the trick. It did, but I did have to buy the FIOO digital to analog converter for $20 and hook that to the tv with an optical cable. Now I can watch my streaming movies and the with the wireless earphones, the sound is fantastic. You can hear the words clearly and in the left ear you hear little things like a door closing or a cup being put on a table. I am only sorry I waited so long to install this. Thank you Itzhak and Frank at B&H. Stanley Starr ... More

Set-up was a breeze. Put in batteries, plug base into power and speaker jack and that is pretty much it. Sound is exceptional and the unit is very comfortable to wear. Now the less than thrilling. The headphones nd base have adjustments that are badly documented. The base has a three position switch that I will assume changes the transmission frequency. The headphones have a rotary switch labelled tune. There are no markings on the switch to guide you how far you have moved the switch or which way to move the switch. It is difficult to move the switch while wearing the headphones so I resorted to taking them off, move the switch a small amount, put the headphones back on to see if it is better. Repeat as needed. I do not know if changing the base frequency would make improvements since I do not want the hassle of retuning. ... More

I have a HS120 that has served me faithfully for more than 10 years. My dad visited me recently (he's 92) , tried it out and loved it. He asked me to order one for him, and a second headset for my mom. Which I promptly did. They shipped right out and were delivered within a few days. However, when I tried to hook them up to their older Hitachi Plasma TV I discovered that the TV's HDMI inputs won't send a signal for analog audio output. There is a Digital Optical audio output provided for this purpose. So I ordered a digital to analog converter and am hoping that this will do the trick. Obviously not a Sennheiser issue but forewarned is forearmed. Will update after receiving the d-to-a converter. In the meantime read the manual before ordering this so you will know what you need to make it all work. ... More

At this price point, you will be hard pressed to find a pair of wireless headphones with the fit and fidelity offered on these Sennheisers. Setup is a breeze. Just make sure your TV has either aux out, or RCA outputs. They will connect directly into the base station. The box contains the RCA cable as well as the aux. It has an auto on/off feature , and the led will light up once audio is passing through the base station. The sound on these cans are amazing. The frequency response is smooth across the spectrum. They sit well on the ears , no fatigue after watching a full length DVD. ... More

The head set was easy to install and produces clear sound that enables one to listen to English mysteries and actually understand their constant mumbling. It is quite long range and does not require line-of-sight to function. I can actually walk into the kitchen and still hear the program clearly.

I bought these as a surprise Christmas gift for my wife. They were easy to set up and she says they sound great and they work great. She loves them and so do I because now she no longer has to scold me for making her miss TV dialogue. She likes that she can still hear whats going on around her at low volume levels yet the sound quality is so good she can still understand every word spoken on TV. Nice lightweight headphones and the dock is smaller than I thought it would be. Were both very happy with the Sennhieser RS 135 Wireless Stereo Headphone System. ... More

I bought these for use with my home recording setup because I got tired of tripping over headphone cables. The Sound Quality is good but there's more RF noise/dropouts than I expected and the headphone design is terrible. If anyone has found a good work around to keep the phones from falling off your head, please share it with the rest of us. Actually Sennheiser should replace the headset with one that doesn't fall off or come up with a fix. I've owned several pairs of Sennheiser (and other) headphones in the past 45+ years but never have I had a pair that wouldn't stay on my head. It's extremely annoying. ... More

Very pleased with the sound quality and the good signal and distance from the source that it works. Headphones are light, mostly comfortable (a bit uncomfortable with glasses on), yet it does feel good to take them off.

These wireless headphones are exactly what we were looking for. We can listen to movies, music, sports, etc. without disturbing anyone else. They work well with every device we've hooked them to - surround sound receiver, mobile phone, desktop computer, etc. The sound is high quality. Unlike some reviewers, we have had no difficulty tuning the headphones for clear reception. As noted elsewhere, they do have a tendency to slip off when bending forward, so we treat that as an aid to good posture. The ear pads are comfortable, but be aware that they are OVER the ear, not AROUND the ear. ... More

Sound is very good, great when you need your personal volume adjustment. It achieved it's purpose. Also good range, when wallking away, say to your rest room, and still need to follow the audio. However, your head may feel like a 'panini' after 30 minutes. The image at B&H is correct, the manual is illustrated with a hollow ear cup, nicely cushioned. That is NOT the case. I think this may be an ear orthopedic device, to flatten lobes...

Better than all the many others we have purchased! We have been through so many brands and by far Sennheiser outlast and higher quality headphone. My husband is exceptionally hard of hearing and refuses to wear hearing aids. With these he can he the tv and I control the volume of the tv and save my hearing.

We've only had them for about a week now. And so far so good. We have one person with hearing loss and had to have the sound up very high to hear the TV. Now they just listen with the headset and the rest of us can listen to the TV at a much more reasonable sound level. I would recommend this product to anyone with hearing loss.
