Just replaced 2011 27 at Xmas out of fear that I was pushing it after keeping the old one for that long. New unit transfer took 3+ hours by WIFI with no hiccups. All files went smooth and I hooked up 3 external HDs after. More trouble physically moving everything around to make space then anything else. Great computer
My first Mac, love it, never getting windows ever again, Ill go use abacus before that ever happens. only complaint is the keyboard is small. I ordered a new one with number pad, hope its a bit better.

Love it and Love B&H!
The machine is great. I was always a Tower kind of guy until I started working on one of these at my office. Then I had to have one of my own. I replaced my 8-core tower of nine years with this Imac. But what I would really love to give credit to is B&H. The company I work for, being owned by WPP in London meant that I had access to Apple products directly from Apple at a discounted price through WPP. Even with that discount B&H costs were much lower, hence my purchase with them. I will definitely recommend B&H to anyone who is looking for an iMac or anything else for that matter.

Second iMac
This is my second iMac and thus easy to setup and use. The old one was a 2011 version and it still works but was getting slow. You just cant go wrong with Macs.

Great buy, great service!
This is quick computer with a beautiful display at a great price. I highly recommend opting for the solid state hard drive, it will make the most noticeable difference in speed when compared to any other upgrade options available during the purchase. I plan to add 32GB of RAM to increase the total from 8GB to 40GB. Once this is done, I am confident the computer will be beyond serviceable for many years to come. B&H also has very fast shipping, great customer service and a price that I have not seen beat. Highly recommended!

Apple products now equal to PC
I switched to apple because when I owned a PC, every time I updated something or bought something new I would spend ages downloading the plug-ins and patches I needed to make it work. Now, brand new iMac and out of the box and I have to download a new operating system because the old operating system (the one preloaded on my new computer) is incompatible with the new applications even though they work fine on my old iMac

I should have researched the characteristics of this iMac: my old-standby softwares dont work on it. The excellent large monitor and system speed are very attractive.

Discounted Perfection
PER-FECTION. Im so thankful for 9to5 Mac for telling me about B&H. The only place (that Ive found) where you can buy a *customized* Mac at an ACTUAL discount on Black Friday. Im sorry Apple Store, I love you, but a $200 Apple Gift Card does not count as a discount to me. 27 iMac Review
This replaces a 22 9 year old iMac. Set up and transfer of files was easy with Migration but I suggest you get an ethernet cable. Using just the home network it would have taken several days but with the cable it was done in less than 2 hours. Also easy to upgrade the memory by buying 2 new cards. Great price and shipping by B&H.

Superb piece of machine + excellent customer support

Wow! What an Improvement.
After 25 years of working on a PC, I purchased the Apple 27 iMac with 5k Retina display. What a difference with a faster processor, 32gb of ram memory, and a1 tb ssd HD. It is very fast to boot-up, loaded with good usable software that runs with no delays. I bought it to do photo and video editing. I am. using Lightroom and Photoshop on it with no. problems. On my old PC, it took for ever for Adobe Photoshop CC to boot-up, with the iMac it boots up almost instantaneously. I love it. BKJ

Very Noticeable Up-grade from Mid-2011 iMac
First, Why 4/5 stars? Because it needs more than two thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. Also, Apple needs to go back to offering a a choice of low glare screen (like they used to do with MacBook Pro). The WOW part? I am amazed at the color of the screen (X-rite calibrated) compared to my old 2011 model. It has much more gamut. I run Lightroom and iTunes from an external SSD hard drive using the TB3 connection, and it is blazing fast. I will upgrade to 64GB of RAM when I need to, but at the moment, I am not editing much video.

Just what I needed!
Added 16G of RAM and this thing rocks my Lightroom workflow. The 5k monitor is stunning. Now my poor little MacBook Pro can do what it was designed to and the iMac can handle the bulk of my images and processing!

Apple Quality continues...great item!
I bought this to replace my older 27 iMac. The setup and transition of data was easy. The Retina screen is so much sharper and colorful than my previous 27 iMac. The updated Mohave operating system is great.
