Great Auto focus lens!
Probably the best autofocus lens they make for the Sony A7/R. The lens is super sharp even at Maximum aperture. Super expensive for a 1.8! Wished Sony made this a 50mm .

It Is What It Is
It's well-constructed Zeiss glass so I can't ask for much more. If you know photography and how to make use of lenses, you have nothing to complain about with this one.

Best lens EVER

another Zeiss winner for my mirrorless Sony a7rIII. Sharp photos, fast and light weight. Easier to carry for a day out getting lost in the lens. Well done Sony!

Perfect
I have this on my a7. AF is fast and images are incredibly sharp. Great for portraits and streetphotography. Lens is light and feels well balanced on the a7.

Love this lens

If you want depth of field control, here it is
I was disappointed that there are no FE 1.4 lenses until I used this lens. This lens is tack sharp, fast and accurate. What more could you want in a lense

Essential Lens for full or aps-c bodies
I've been using this on my a6500 as a portrait lens and I can't recommend it enough. Solid construction, tack sharp, great bokeh and imo, a great bargain.

Old & gold

Zeiss 55mm FE lens
As an artist in landscape, portrait and street photography. Extremely sharp lens, almost unreal. Honestly I can't say one bad thing about this lens.

It's meh
I returned it after seeing the difference between the planar 50 and this. My brother owns the 50 and it's so much clearer zoomed in on an a7r3.

Excellent Lens!!

Good lens
