Tremendous value, Surprisingly good
This is the perfect lens to carry with your A6000 if you want something a little zoomy that doesn't weigh five pounds or break the bank. This lens does quite well, all things considered. My favoured E-mount lens thus far.
I got into the Sony Nex system recently when I acquired an A3000 camera body and two lenses, the 18-55mm kit lens and this excellent 55-210mm tele zoom lens. Between them, this one has better optics, better resolving power, better bokeh, and to my mind, better handling also. Does the job for me!
This ain't gonna be your Canon L-Series or anything like that, but I got it for $ when I purchased a Sony A3000 with it. I use it for Wedding Videography on my backup camera. Needed something with a zoom. Works great, especially outdoors where I have enough light. Can get a little dark on inside shoots where I have to bump the GAIN up to high. Basically this is my coverage lens. Then I use my Rokinon Cine Lens Primes to get all the Beauty shots.

Great for the Price
I fish out of kayak. I take this lens along. It images are sharp! For the cost this is a no-brainer. I know the G series would be better, but right now I'm fund limited. I am using this with the A6000

Much sharper than many might assume!
A very sharp lens for the price. It is certainly better than what many might assume it is, based on its price and almost kit lens status!The OSS works well too, and I am getting decent bokeh out of it. It does not have the micro-contrast of my Zeiss lenses, but none of them have anywhere near the reach/focal length anyway, and are for very different purposes.The lens cannot be beaten for the function and price, on a NEX camera.

Not Super Impressed
The optical quality of this lens is disappointing. It is light, well made, and I like the range. But I'm getting very soft images across the range. Not sure if it is defective and I need to return it or this is really what I should be expecting. If it is, I am very unimpressed.

Great lens for Nex 7
Lens takes great pictures, is light weight, and seems durable. Great addition to my Nex 7. The zoom on it is incredible and goes pretty far. Images are crisp and detailed.

An excellent lens at an affordable price
Used the lens this weekend to do some outdoor photography, and the pictures came out really good. I purchased this lens as part of my Sony Alpha 6000 purchase since they had a combo-sale.

Great travel lens
I actually already owned this lens in silver but my wife seems to have taken it over. (she calls it her go to lens, her words). This is not a fast lens so don't have expectations of great indoor low light sports pictures :-) however it is light, well built and takes GREAT pictures. Vey nice zoom for the Nex series
I mainly use this for portraits, but I also do some landscape shots. You will have to work the shots with this lens, but you will get beautiful shots most of the time because is fairly sharp and has a very good IQ. A Sharp and Aesthetically Correct Lens
I've had this lens for a few months and I've made countless photos through it, from macro shots of water drops in my garden (with a Nikon T5 supplementary lens) to telephoto shots in San Francisco, Yosemite, Las Vegas and Las Angeles. Sharp and very portable
Since summer in Pennsylvania has not begun, I have yet to give my 55-210 lens a really good workout. Still, the use I have made of it suggests it will continue to be effective at what I purchased it to do -- take pictures outdoors of flora and fauna I cannot easily reach. Nice Complement to the Nex6 in all black
My first impressions were long time over due for an all black 55-210mm lens I thought the silver and black lens looked out of place on the nex6 now for the technical side from 55-175mm tack sharp from 175-210mm a tad soft the colors and sharpness fall off a little If you are looking to take pictures of birds this is not the lens for you. Nice Complement to the Nex6 in all black
My first thoughts were this was long over due to have a all black 55-210mm lens rather than having a two tone black and silver it really looks good mounted on the Nex6. I have not done a whole lot of picture taking with it yet but I have tested it some it is good for fairly long telephoto but not good for long range birding if you are looking to take pictures of birds you need at least 450mm or a 300mm lens on a APS-C sensor camera taking picture...
