Great lens, way to go Sony...
I was skeptical at first when I saw this, but I decided to make the purchase. I'm glad I did, this lens is great at a fabulous price. Very pleased with the results, it's great for portraits. You will not be disappointed!

Indeed an Easy Choice to make
Portraits and indoor/outdoor low light Nicely sharp even wide open in the center, sharp throughout the entire frame by f5.6 It may be plastic and lightweight so I'm ok with that. Nothing really negative to report.

Great Lens
I use this as my everyday lens. I use it on my A560, it has replaced my kit lens. I do alot of scenic, people, and food photos and I'm amazed at how sharp and good the images come out. It's great in low light to.

Sony DT 35mm f1.8 SAM
Considering the price, it is the best thing since the good old 50mm f1.7, great everything: sharpness, resolution, color, bokeh, weight, and the best of all... price. It is a must have for APS-C Sony Alphas.

Light weight and reasonable priced
I need a fast lens for low light situation while on vacation. This lens is light weight and fit my budget. I don't like the built of this lens but I can't complaint too much because of it's price point.

great for star shots
Too much flare for shooting city lights at the current time, may improve when I better learn to use my new Sony SLT 55V otherwise some good results but not quite as versatile as my Minolta F4 35-70

LOVE THIS LENSE!!!
Great lens and a great price, it's excellent indoors in low light and just as great outdoors. I use it more than my Tamron 18-200, it's faster and crisper, but no zoom so both lenses are necessary.

incredible bang for the buck
handicapped and downsizing but this lens is great. I have no issue with the polycarbonite lens mount, low weight, more than adequate for general usage. mine is sharp as a tack making great images.

Good buy.
No need to spend several hundred dollars on a 'nifty fifty'. This is a great lens that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I should have bought it long ago. Light as a feather and takes great shots.

Great Lens! Worth the money.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I needed something that was good in low light. After using it a few times, I am happy with the results. For the money, it's worth it! Used with Sony a57.

a very good portrait lens
lets a lot of light in, so my @35 can keep a fast shutter. will come in handy now around Christmas, when I don't want to use the flash so much, not to disturb the nice atmosphere. cheap

Not what I expected
This is not a true wide angle lens which I thought I was getting, maybe it's my fault that I didn't research it enough. Not a bad piece of glass for a fixed 35mm at a decent price.

Good low light lens.
I use this lens with an a77. It is always an advantage to have a lens with a 1.8 apeture, rather than have to push the ISO couple of stops. It's a well made lens and focuses fast.

Outstanding lens
I bought this lens to use for reverse macro shooting. Works great for that. Regular mounting, this lens is light, well built, and very fast auto focus. Very satisfied with my lens

Nice affordable prime lens
Great prime lens for the price, I mostly use it for street photography and low light conditions. It's a plastic casing which makes it light but it feels a little bit low quality.

Awesome lens for the money
This lens has become one of my favorites. Great bokeh, light weight and awesome price. The build quality could be more solid, but at this price point it's hard to expect more.

Excellent & Light
I use this lens on mountain hiking trips, and appreciate its lightweight. Image quality is very good. Metal hood provides good protection when moving thru trees and brush.

Fantastic Indoor, low light friendly
This lens is fantastic for low light indoor photography. I wish it would focus a little quicker (I'm using the Sony a55), but the image quality has been great thus far.

Fantastic Lens for the Price
I don't really have anything negative to say about this piece of glass. It's sharper than any other lens I've owned, and the focal length is perfect for me.

Great cost performance!
Good compatibility with DSLT a55. Good image quality even with f1.8 aperture. Not so fast and quiet autofocus. (AF noise is recorded when movie recording)
