Superb Lens
This lens takes amazing images, the rendering is phenomenal. Was worried about the decentering issue, but it seems I have a good copy. It's pretty even across the frame, solid sharpness at f/1.4. Not razor sharp, but definitely sharp enough, but it's the overall image rendering that's important.

Love This Lens.
I use this lens on my Sony a6500 and its totally living up to my expectations. Images are very sharp, the auto focus works great, and the 1.4 aperture is really helpful when youre shooting in lower light situations. This is a high quality lens and Im extremely pleased with the purchase.

Amazing Lens
This is an extraordinary lens. Wanting to keep weight down, I recently shot an entire week of images in Washington, D.C. with just this lens and an a7 in a Thinktank Mirrorless Mover 20 bag (total weight approximately 3 pounds). I was simply delighted with the results!

Great for video
Investing in good glass is one of the best things you can do to add value to your productions. I love the focal length for video and the 1.4 matched with the a7sii make the best low light rig out there. Haven't tested it too much yet but liking it so far.

Great piece of glass
I absolutely love this lens! This thing just swallows light and your subject pops out the frame. The autofocus is fast and accurate. It's definitely not the lightest piece of glass out there, but if you don't mind the extra weight, you'll love this lens.

Sharpest 35mm!
Probably one of the sharpest lenses I own. It's soo sharp! Love the images I get with this lens. It's pricey, but so worth the price tag. The only downside to this lens is the weight & size, but I don't mind it too much. Overall a spectacular lens!

Beautiful but Big
Fast focusing and sharp as can be... But geez, did they have to make it so big? My 35mm Summilux is 1/4 this size! If you're looking for something discrete for your Sony, you might need to sacrifice a few stops and some sharpness. :(

Ouch that's sharp
I thought the 55 was sharp this is all of that! It's certainly larger and a bit heavier but I'll wear a little lighter shoes when I'm shooting this. Build quality is what you'd expect from Zeiss it's a beautiful piece of glass.

Needs updating.
I sent this lens back. It was unable to fully resolve the A7R-IV's 61 meg sensor. Nothing was critically sharp (even doing tripod tests). Probably okay on a 24 meg sensor ... but I do not know that for sure.

Great Lens for Creative Shots
Versatile lens for all kinds of shots, but the ones taken at or near max aperture give some of the most pleasing bokeh I've ever seen. Colors fabulous. Well built lens is heavy and expensive, but worth it.

Stunning. Gorgeous. Wonderful
The character of this lens is superb. I find myself constantly gravitating toward it. Focus is fast and absolutely silent wide open. Super sharp and has that Zeiss pop that we all love.

Everyone else who is posting here is telling the truth. This is a spectacularly good lens. Gorgeous bokeh. Flexible. Sharp when needed. The only tiny negative is size.

Just Amazing
Im photographer and videographer I use in crop mode when i film 35 is 52 f 1.4 ....just amazing bokeh The face detect to A7rll make a delicious frames in my camera.

Beautiful Image Quality
The lens is big and heavy and it makes the A9 front heavy. The AF however, is nearly silent and very fast. The images have excellent color and contrast.

Excellent 35mm lens
Pro: This lens is super sharp. All manual controls. Con: Heavy compared to regular lens. CA remains in highlight area. It lacks a super ED lens.

Pretty solid
There's way too much CA when shooting in contrast situations, but the lens is sharp and colors are great. It's beautiful, but could be better.
