Great Camera
This is my first experience with anything beyond a point and shoot so I have had some bad pick and really good ones. My distance pictures aren't blurry and my close up flower pics are very sharp. So far loving the camera.

Worse than the mk3 in some ways, better in others
More than 3k photos with both the RX10 3 and 4. Each has advantages. Both are a good value in terms of size, weight and cost compared with a prosumer DSLR. The interface menus can be annoying but Sony offers a good work-around with the function button, which allows the user to have their key adjustments available in just a few clicks. With some use the Sony interface is OK, almost as good as Canon and Nikon. So how are they different? The mk3 sen... Show More

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV is a Game Changer
I have a love/hate relationship with this camera. I love the images when focused. I have the RX-10 mark iii also, and the Mark iv is definitely better, but focus is still a pain in the butt. it insists on focusing on background instead of closest elements most of the time. The 480 f/s slow motion is wonderful in good light ... wonderful! the 960 fps us usually useless. See white hummingbird https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4kUYZcRRdw&t=... Show More

If you had to only have one camera...
This thing has been great. Perfect camera for traveling without a body and a bunch of lenses like my wife does. Im happy with the zoom this thing can get. Menus are fine after orienting yourself. It is expensive, but I had bought a cheaper alternative and returned it because I wasnt happy. I was happy with this one from day one.

This will be my main camera
Although I have only been using the Mark 4 for about 2 weeks but I love it! I have a Sony a6000 so the very extensive menu and shooting options did scare me away. I love the zoom, the focus, the lack of noise at high ISO and the versatility. I think my Nikon and my collection of various lenses may get cobwebs on them. I guess I should feel guilty about not using the Nikon, but I dont.

Very impressed
I have had a camera in my hand almost every day since I got my Pentax spotmatic in the PX when I was 19. That was a long time ago! My last camera was a Nikon P900. I bought it for the lens but I did not like the image quality. I have only had my rx10iv for a day, but there is a noticeable difference. I am very impressed with the build quality and the solidity of the camera. Pictures are sharp and the colors are lovely. I am working my way through the vast menu right now. This is a keeper.

As great as Ken Rockwells review said
Ken said it better than I can; Id recommend reading his review. The only downside to the camera is its documentation which I find quite inadequate.

One camera w/ lens for most all
So far will be just fine for my photo taking after shedding many lenses and a smaller camera body!

Dead Out of the Box
Received the package, no damage, opened box and removed camera and battery, fully charged battery with new Sony wall plug charger. Put battery in camera, would not turn on, plugged the charger in that came with the camera, plugged it into the camera, no charge light came on, nothing. Charged spare battery that I purchased, put it in the camera, nothing, dead. If it cost this much it should at least be checked before it is boxed and shipped.

I love this camera so far.
My shoulder appreciates the lighter camera. This is my second Sony mirrorless camera. It was easy to learn the settings.

You wont regret it...
I made a decision to stop carrying a backpack and a half full of DSLR equipment. I sold all my gear or gave it to my kids and replaced it with the RX-10v4. Im really impressed and happy with it - in fact my only gripe is that its hard to get your fingers on the SD card when you try to remove it from the camera. I like this better than the bagful of Canon gear I used to have. A couple things I like or are noteworthy: - It feels and handles just l... Show More

Excellent camera, do your homework!
Purchased the RX10 iv after selling my Panasonic RX2500 and saving up the nickels and dimes to make up for the price difference. For a couple of years I was doing all I could with the Panasonic and still seeing results that were never as clear or sharp as I thought they should be. Its a good camera, but My first outings with the RX10 iv resulted in the photos attached to this review. I was stunned. Sharp autofocus of a moving Blue Heron and a viv... Show More

Good bridge camera for both video and stills
I use the camera to shoot windsurfing action ,video, vacation and macro stills and video, and business coaching videos for a client. I principally use the viewfinder and not the LCD monitor. Things I like: Long zoom range 24-600 mm. Excellent large clear viewfinder, much better than my camcorder. The hand grip is terrific, feels just right. My Menu is really helpful in condensing all the menu choices. Robust image quality. LCD monitor positionin... Show More

Evcellenence Redux ?
I havent had a chance to use it much but it seems to perform in a similar manner to my RX10 iii which was all I could ask for. The ideal travel camera & an amazing lens ! Well worth a little extra weight over my A6500 with the excellent tele ! The weight actually assists in tele shooting making it easier to hold steady. A great camera !

Great Camera but a Few Missing Features
I had a DSLR with 4 lenses including a 150 to 500 zoom. I was getting tired of carrying all that stuff around so opted for the RX10 IV which seems to be about the best bridge camera around. It gives me less load, more convenience and 4K video versus HD on my old camera. So I have had the camera a week now and am really loving it. Its not enough time to try out the all of the multiple features, however it feels really solid and comfortable in the... Show More

Why buy this 25X when a 60X costs much less?
This is written by a physicist with an interest in optics. Before retirement, I taught a university course on optics. I have owned a Panasonic FZ50 (point and shoot, 12X zoom, 35 to 420 mm equivalent focal length, 10 Mpixels) for some years and have been pleased with it. However, I realized there have been great lens and electronic developments over those years so I thought I should get an upgrade. I was attracted by the current Panasonic FZ80, ... Show More

Amazing
Ok, I admit it, Im sold. This is one awesome camera, and Ive been a Nikon man for many years. I own a Nikon 1 V1, and thought it was a great camera, and it still is, but this baby, with the same size sensor blows it away. I cant believe theres this much lens on this thing. The only down side I have found, is that you have to set yourself when using it at the long end to get sharp pictures, because 600mm is soooooo long. But the IBIS is so good, e... Show More

one camera can fit all
Had this been my first camera I doubt I would have bought as many cameras and lens to fill my needs. That being said, to use this camera to its full capabilites, I needed the knowledge obtained from experience with DSLR and mirrorless cameras otherwise it would be an excellent but expensive point and shoot. There is a lot to learn with this camera and it would be cumbersome without a good guide beyond the manual. I intended this camera to be for ... Show More

Great Purchase, Great Camera
Wishing to reduce the weight of my gear, I reviewed several websites and found the SonyRX10IV rated highest. The camera lives up to the reviews. It does take a bit of learning because the booklet with the camera lacks much info. Finely solving the many features of the camera it has given me great photos. It is now easy to use and Im glad I purchased it

In Love with This Camera!
So far so great! Love my RX10 IV! I am an avid amateur photographer have gone from carrying around a Nikon D7200 with a big bag of lenses, etc, to this fantastic bridge camera. This weekend hiking I took it out for a test run and I could not be happier. I was most interested in the photo quality of the max zoom so I tested it out at 600 mm extensively and the detail was fantastic. Love the versatility of this high quality all-in-one and how easy it is to incorporate it into activities and adventures.

Sony RX10iv
I got this camera about 3 weeks ago, after reading reviews and reports and saving funds for the past year. I started out with Sonys several years ago with another bridge camera, the HX-200V. It was the best camera Id had at that point and it took excellent pictures, but had a terrible view finder, no buffer at all that I could tell, and the sensor was too small for good enlargements. So, I got an A6000. Super little camera but I wanted to use lon... Show More

Great Travel and Grab and Go Camera
I bought the Sony RX10 IV Digital Camera principally as a travel camera. My current Canon gear is much heavier and is a bit of a hassle for air travel. I previously owned a Canon Powershot SX60 which I took on trips but I had issues focusing that camera at times and it was incapable of taking birds in flight. I also was often dissatisfied with image quality with that camera. I read the reviews on the Sony RX10 IV and they were pretty good. I also... Show More
