Excellent microphone, but wrong color.

Jun 29, 2018

The product works well headworn. The reason I bought it because it is headworn and beige on BH web site. However the unit I received is black. This color does not blend in with Chinese skin color! Would have given it 5 stars but it deserve only 3.

I wanted to like this more than I do!

Apr 9, 2017

We use this headset with our Sony digital wireless lav kit. We use it during instruction of Tai Chi and Kung Fu. This requires a lot of body movement while talking. A lapel mic can sometimes pick up noise during movements from clothes etc. this was supposed to be a solution to that problem. Unfortunately the boom for the mic is too short. Putting the mic in an awkward position which sometimes cuts out. For the money maybe I shouldn't complain but... Show More

I do have to EQ a little bit in post clients love wearing this in stead of lov where we have to go up the shirt I find it's faster to switch between speakers I just put wire behind their back and use the clip behind there collar that comes with this package

Was light weight and cledar as a bell.

Aug 25, 2014

This was my first headworn mic. It was light weight and the sound was superior to my lav since the mic followed my speach as my head turned. Should have gotten one a long time ago. It is reasonably priced as well. I just wished it came in beige skin tone instead of just black.

lightweight headset works great

May 21, 2013

We use the headsets for conferences. Speakers are sometimes hesitant to put them on but once they do, they like them. They are better than lapel microphones since they stay next to the speaker's mouth no matter how they turn their head. They can be a challenge to put on people with *big* hair but so far, we have been able to fit them on everyone.

Great for MCs at noisy events

Jun 28, 2011

I used this mic on a shoot at a noisy night club event while video taping an MC. The MC loved it because it was so light and it allowed her hands to be free to hold papers. It also achieved my other goal in using it, which was to cancel out a lot of the background music played by a DJ while she was talking. The closeness to her mouth and the apparent directionality of the mic when turned toward her mouth did the noise canceling trick very well. Quality into my Sony NX5 was very good as well. No pops or sibilants. The MC wore it easily even without the extra band included in the package
