Ultralight backpacking camera
I have been a fan of the Sony DSC-Wxxx series since the W50. Lightweight, takes excellent pictures, good battery life. They keep adding features, most of which I'll never use, but the basic camera does good macros and has great zoom.

Very small and cheap feeling
This camera is very small and cheap feeling I think its all plastic. I wouldve bought a Nikon but they were out of stock, my advice would be to buy different camera. I wish I could have given it a -1 star!

digital dismay
Bought this camera for my wife who had a stroke and only has use of one hand hence the small camera and that is the only good I can say about it. Pictures look pretty good on the camera but when moved to the computer they are blurry to a point of almost out of focus. When shooting in low light and also when zoomed out the photos are very grainy. I would not recommend this camera to anyone and would have given it minus one star if I could have.

TAKES GOOD PICTURES BUT........
Does take good pictures but due to lighter construction over the years/change in models, it seems flimsy; for example the battery compartment. . I have a DSC W80 from several years ago and the body is much stronger but only slightly larger. We were also expecting a wall plug in battery charger but they have stopped providing those as well.

Bought camera only for photos . 20.1 MP - good quality , tiny pocket size , good price . Camera always with me . Absolutely satisfied .

Great bargain
The camera took great pics with a reasonable recovery time of 2-3 secs. The screen is small and does not do justice to the picture taken. The actual picture is far better, a good buy for a camera in the $100.00 dollar range.

So small and light you'll forget its in your pocket!
This little guy turns on and off very fast and travels well. Its not that great in low light but overall it performs well at this price point. Movie mode is quite good and the sound continues when zooming in and out. The sound quality is better than most phones. This cam is way fun for the money!

Nice camera but feels like a toy
Did not realize how tiny this camera was until I held it in my hands. Great for ladies who want to fit a camera in a small purse of for active people who need a small camera that fits in a pant/jacket pocket.

Really small point and shoot
When I got this, I was surprised at how small and sleek it was. This can easily fit in your pocket. It's pretty straightforward to use and has some nice options over just shooting in auto. I am satisfied with it.

Not perfect, but good enough
It took me a while to figure out that the camera adjusts setting automatically, but I got there eventually. It's a fantastic slip-in-your-pocket size, and it takes very good photos. My only problem with it is that it has a noticeable digital delay. Don't buy it if you want to take photos quickly. Do buy it if you want a small, easy-to-use camera that takes good pictures . . . slowly.

Great pocket camera
Good all around camera. Easy to use (i.e. my 9 year old). Best for closer range photos. Can be used for sports, landscapes, night pics, etc., but you'll want this for taking a better picture than your phone in those spur of the moment situations.

Compact and great for simple use
Very pocketable camera. Great for daylight portraits and simple landscapes. But that is about it. Not good for pushing it to get low light shots. For the cost it is great, but then Sony's own Xperia phones take better images.

Great Camera But ...
This is a great small camera. It fits into any pocket, it's easy to use and takes great pictures. Unfortunately, it malfunctioned after 1 week of use. I bought the extended guarantee so I should be able to get it fixed, however, I'd rather have a working camera.

Point and Shot - Price King
I am using this camera in low light situations were I need full depth of field - industrial setting in general. Provides excellent low light - high depth of field - fantastic details. For the price - point and shoot - better than my high end gear for handling the challenge - the on board flash gives good coverage as well.

Perfect for what I wanted
I was looking for a camera to replace my Pentax Optio 50. I wanted a small inexpensive modern camera that I could fit in a shirt pocket to bring to weddings, banquets, etc. and have no excuses for not having a camera with me. The 8x zoom is nice to have. This camera fills the role when I am at a place or in a situation where I don't want to take the RX-100 (either for size or liability reasons), but do want to have a camera with me to take pictures. It fits in a shirt pocket easily. I have used it and it takes nice pictures. For the price, it's a no-brainer.
